This place was awesome, though I may be a bit biased. Why you ask? I love breakfast food. I could eat it for breakfast (duh), lunch, and dinner. And this place offered so many fabulous breakfast (and technically lunch, though this was not my focus) options that I was pleasantly overwhelmed. If you are vegetarian, you have many options to choose from with a clear "V" marked next to the menu item. Everything is made from fresh ingredients there, so it would also be easy to make a non-vegetarian item vegetarian by requesting the removal of meat. My friend and I ordered a Sinful Delight (Caramel, Mocha, Hazelnut Blend) French press coffee (easily 4 cups), which was brought to us immediately along with a timer. The coffee was so good- strong and flavorful, and a lovely little sugar stirrer (rock candy on a stick) and cream was brought with it. I had the Popeye skillet, and my friend got Marsala Benedict. Both were excellent and were brought to our table very quickly. The food quality was excellent, and the food was definitely made to order using fresh ingredients. Our server was attentive but not invasive. Altogether, when we split the bill, the cost was maybe $16 per person (including tax & tip), which I think is a good price considering the food quality. Although it is a small place, it is clean with an outside seating area, which would be nice if the weather cooperates. Free wifi is provided, and the bathrooms are immaculate. Finally took time to check this place out. I went on a weekday but am sure the weekend are crowded. I appreciated the selection of various drinks, and since I'm not a coffee drinker I picked out a white tea. Served with lemon, honey and rock candy, really cute. Our server Evan was super friendly and accompanying. Chris ordered lemon blueberry pancakes which I stole a bite of and loved. I went all in with OMG french toast topped with pumpkin mascarpone, pecans, Carmel and crumbled bacon (YES!). It was delicious. No complaints and will be back for sure. read more

Having a 10 year old that prefers Taco Bell quesadillas to anything else makes having a meals out a daily negotiation... So on our way bowling at Pinsetters she suggested we eat there while bowling.. Their food actually isn't bad for a bowling alley. But that was far from what I wanted my first meal of the day to be.. So my bookmarks showed that we were close to Turning Point, and the debate ended... They closed at 3, and we walked in at 2. Plenty of time to have brunch.. She chose the OMG French Toast. That came loaded with candied pecans and chopped bacon. I went with the Huevos Rancheros... Both we're very good choices. Her dish was, well, sweet!! What else would you expect out of a 10 year old... My dish was great. It was huge... I thought I was hungry, so I ate the whole thing.... Savory and spicy.. Avocados and sour cream on the side to balance the meal... I enjoyed this meal so much that I needed a nap in Pinsetters parking lot before going in.... The service at Turning Point was attentive, but not overbearing. The menu offered plenty of dishes with enough of a twist to not make it the norm, as if you were at an average restaurant or diner. So for one we waited an hour and 30 minutes to get seated. Upon sitting at the table the water glasses were dirty as well as the silverware. The water pitcher that they gave had two lemons in it and the ice was melted... the pitcher was also dirty. Then when we ordered our food it came out almost immediately which caught us by surprise! Just give me a decent selection of menu options with fresh, high quality ingredients in a quaint environment and I'm on it like white on rice. On a recent visit to Cherry Hill, NJ and Philadelphia, my cousin took me to this nearby restaurant and I was enchanted. Extremely friendly wait staff and a dining room with a comforting fireplace. Ahh, lovely! My cousin ordered their Tuscany Omelette with marinated roasted red peppers, fresh spinach, country spiced sausage and fresh mozzarella. I ordered the Lobster Benedict. (Yes, I said lobster!) The Lobster Benedict came with quite a decent amount of sauteed lobster, bacon, avocado, tomato, poached eggs and a cilantro hollandaise sauce. Both meals were served with fresh fruit salad and home fries. (I had mine with extra onions) If you are a meat-eater, vegetarian, vegan or air eater, the menu offers plenty of options. There are several pancake, waffle, french toast, omelette and egg skillet selections to choose from. Additionally, if you aren't quite in the mood for breakfast, but want something a little more lunchy, (I know it's not a word) you can also go with a salad, sandwich, soup or quinoa bowl to tide you over until your next meal. I am a major table watcher and what I saw on other people's plates looked damn fine to me. I had an early Sunday morning bus ride ahead of me, so we went early and were seated immediately. However, half way through our meal, the restaurant started to stack up. I suggest that you make your plans accordingly. My meal was so filling that I asked for half of my meal to be wrapped for my journey home. Our attentive waiter noticed my luggage and asked if I wanted a to-go cup of coffee to take with me. Whaatttt? Why can't more restaurants do this? Lovely wait staff, simply lovely! As a side note, the restaurant is so much into cleanliness that the Ladies room allows you the opportunity to open the door without using your hands. (My inner germaphobe loves this!) This was my first visit to the Cherry Hill location of The Turning Point although I go to the Marlton location at least once a month. There is no comparison. Service was fine but the food was sub par. Ordered the Wilbur Skillet which I frequently get in Marlton. The tomatoes weren't diced but large chunks, the avocado was also large chunks. There were onions in it which are not listed on the menu and potatoes and eggs were overcooked. It also took about 25 minutes to come to the table. They need better help in the kitchen. read more

The tiramisu French toast is a must try here! I usually can't finish an entire meal but I definitely couldn't stop eating my French toast. The wait wasn't too bad for a Saturday especially since they were backed up in the kitchen and the waiters were very friendly! Finally, a brunch restaurant [that's not another diner] in South Jersey! I took a visiting friend here the other day. Walked in and immediately felt the homey, classy but casual vibe. I love when restaurants put modern twists on traditional favorites. We had a tough time deciding, but decided on an egg skillet, Lobster egg's benedict for myself, and split a Cornbread French Toast as a dessert upon the waiter's recommendation. Let me first say, that french toast was superb. At first bite, we felt our taste buds sing. I had expected this to be dense, but on the contrary... the cornbread was light and fluffy, that vanilla bean mascarpone was buttery and not too-sweet. A light drizzle of caramel, along with paper thin slices of apple and pecans sprinkled on top. Everything melted in your mouth and complimented each other beautifully. Our separate egg dishes were also very much enjoyed. I would recommend the lobster egg's benedict--they did not skimp on the lobster meat and a friendly addition of bacon and avocado made for a very satisfying meal. The hollandaise could use a smidge more seasoning, but that could be my own personal preference. Was also happy to see they have Mighty Leaf tea, here, my favorite bagged brand as it is high quality. To my delight, your order of tea comes in a personal tea pot. Our only real minor complaint would be the home fries, although not bad, have room for improvement. Figured we'd give this place a try for brunch since it's a local spot. The parking lot was packed and we thought we were gonna be waiting a long time for a table. We got there around 1pm and were told the wait was 10 minutes which isn't bad, the bar area was first come first serve so we sat there instead. The menu is pretty diverse, they had an impressive assortment of coffee and teas. We tried the avocado toast. It was nice and flavorful the addition of the tomatoes on top was great. I got one of their skillet dishes, pesto infused egg whites which was delicious! My boyfriend got the power grain pancakes and said they were excellent. From a scan of the menu, if you want anything on the side (bacon, sausage, etc) you have to order it separately. They do give you a lot though, so it's worth the extra price. The chicken sausage was tasty and flavorful, and the bacon was thicker cut but wasn't overly greasy. The place itself is nice. It looks like a cozy spot, filled with plants and kitschy signs which is typical for "brunch spots". They have a perks card which seems pretty good. You pay $10 for the card and they give that back to you as a balance on the gift card. When you use the perks card you get points and they'll occasionally send you emails for freebies. We signed up because we'll definitely be back. The one negative thing, pretty much as soon as we got our food the waitress put our check down and told us "no rush". Anytime that happens it always feels like a rush lol. Overall it's a solid spot, and there's a few locations in Jersey which is cool! read more

Very disappointed in the service here. The gentleman we had as a server left a lot to be desired. Once we were seated and I ordered my French press, he walked by us a minimum of eight times and did not stop to take our order. After twenty mins he finally brings the French press and takes our order. The coffee in the press smelled slightly burnt and the server did not bring me a timer so I had to guess how long it still needed to steep which effected the taste. Once we ordered our food it took approx 15 - 20 mins to come out. At one point the server stopped by and said that our food should be out in "a half a min". We waited another 8 mins for our food to come out and it was just warm. At that point we were already running late and were hungry so we just ate. Won't be back to this location. read more

I have always enjoyed Turning Point, however the last 2 times here were not good experiences. My visit 3 months ago was a poor experience at the Marlton location. Today, we went to the Cherry Hill location for breakfast. I had the huevos rancheros, very disappointing, first I had to send it back because I ordered my eggs over easy and they were over hard. The potatoes were dry, the chorizo was nonexistent and the salsa tasted like Jarred Old El Paso. Not good. I will give any place a second chance, but Turning Point used up both chances. A friend suggested we meet here because she often goes but it was my first time. They sat me very quickly and understood I was waiting for a friend. Immediately brought out a pitcher of ice cold water which was very appreciated on this very humid day. Our server was very nice and attentive...I wish I could remember his name to add to the review. The waffle was great, the salads are served with a lot of different options (not stingy with the fruits and nuts), and the sandwich was made with French toast (which was REALLY good)... But the burrito was disappointing. It was soggy with salsa poured on top and the veggies mixed in were not cooked long enough. Another table ordered eggs Benedict and that looked good. Stay away from the omelet/burritos and everything else is good. Saturday, November 19th was my first time eating from turning point and I regretted my decision. For some who indulges in breakfast meals I was very saddened to see my eggs shriveled, my potatoes dry and cold. In additional to ordering a plate of eggs, potatoes, and chicken sausage I ordered a sose of chocolate chips pancakes and they were also very Flat. This place has high quality of food with good service for a relatively inexpensive price. I am a fan of this restaurant, I would definitely recommend this to somebody in the area who is looking for quality breakfast or lunch food. The service is well done, and the interior is designed with a bunch of photographs of local landmarks so it has an interesting touch. My personal favorite is the wilbur skillet, and I think they have some other very good options. They also accommodate to any dietary restrictions which is huge for a lot of people. The fresh squeezed orange juice was also tasty and seemed rather fresh. The only downside I found of this restaurant was that their fruit uses preservatives and the fruit cup was rather underwhelming. This is a must try, we come here frequent and we are never disappointed. Get there early so you get right in and don't have to wait. Decent selection of coffees, they have french press as well. Menu isn't huge which is nice so you can figure out what you want quickly. Food comes how in a decent time. I seem to always get the same thing (wilburt skillet) everytime I go cause it is amazing. I've passed by a bunch and have wanted to go for a while. The last time I tried to get in the wait was an hour and that only made me more excited to try. I decided then to come back another day. I went today. (November 2018) I heard from a family member that the food wasn't that great but I wanted to give it a try anyway. My family member was correct. It's a nice place and I may try again some day but I just was not impressed at all with the food. Especially breakfast food, like, anybody can cook eggs...smh Really... extra 'regular' tasting food- and some of it was a bit under cooked. I tend to get simple, classic dishes when I visit a new place that is close by so that I can see if they get the basics right. If they can do that, I can trust them enough to get fancy. The good restaurants always get the basics right! Not Turning Point. Not that day. It wasn't a "...yuck".. just a...."meh, I've had better..".. :/ But the location is nice and it's clean and the service wasn't bad. I eat out fairly regularly so I have very little patience for sub-par food. There are just too many other places to go for breakfast or lunch where I know that I'll be satisfied. The food is great however I'm not to keen on how they clean the restaurant. After going back a few times I can honestly say 4/5 times there will be leftover napkins or food left on the floor from the family who used the table before. Its understandable that there can be food on the floor sometimes given the nature of a family type restaurant however this place should get someone to check around more often. This was my first time coming to this restaurant. My husband and I decided to stop by after seeing that it had decent reviews and 2 other places we stopped by had long wait times. When we first got there, there was no dedicated hostess to take our names and as a result we stood there trying to get someone's attention for over 5 minutes. When the waitress finally put our name down she told us that there was a 45-60 minutes wait, which we agreed with. However, when I looked around I counted 5 tables that were empty but no one had cleaned them off. This was the major issue with this restaurant: there was no defined organization. The waiters were also the hostesses and had to bus tables and since they were busy none of them could do any of their roles well. When we were finally seated after 1 hour 15 minutes, we placed our order (we had plenty of time to determine what we wanted) and for spoons for our coffee since the waitress forgot to bring us some. She returned with 1 spoon and said that they were still washing dishes. When she finally brought the 2nd spoon it had milk still on it and some fuzz on it. I had never experience such disorder at any restaurant I've been to before. The only saving grace was that the food was decent, it didn't look pretty but it tasted well. It is only because of the food that I gave this restaurant 2 stars because the service and wait time were horrendous. read more

Food is always good and so is service. However, there often is no one upfront to check in or to pay bill when sever is delayed. Can be frustrating. short of staff to check in and to pay bill. Today, they are holding us up, even though we are almost at the front of the line and there are available cleaned tables. Waiting until all the tables are cleaned, not just the 1 or 2 that are ready to seat a few of us right away. My brother ordered the Santa Fe salad and it was HUGE. The tortilla is was piled into was burnt though. Another diner ordered the pesto egg white skillet and hers looked light and colorful.
