I asked if the air was broken and was told it's usually not that hot. No other explanation. Very uncomfortable to eat. The server was dry and never once made us feel welcome. The burgers were OK. Onions rings were good but I only got 5 small onion rings for $4.50 side. Not sure it's a place I would return to. I guess my expectation was high based on reviews but we went on a bad day for them. Service was poor.

For food I ordered the Koco's Biswich and chose turkey bacon as my protein of choice and it didn't disappoint. The homemade biscuit and the pepper jam really set this sandwich off! I am still thinking about it. My friend had the Caribbean Breakfast Scramble and enjoyed it. For my drink, I tried the Strawberry Matcha and let me just say - in love!! It was my first matcha drink & I'm so glad I chose Koco's to try it. The service was phenomenal even for a busy morning. I met a friend for breakfast and even tho there was a line when we got inside, it moved quickly. The establishment is not large, however there's sufficient seating inside and a few table chairs outside. We sat inside and noticed how clean it was kept. Tables and areas were cleaned quickly allowing for diners to opt to sit and enjoy their delicious food and drinks. I would 10/10 recommend! I look forward to going back to try other things on the menu.

We were told they stop taking breakfast orders at 11 AM, even though the café opens at 8 AM, so breakfast is essentially only available for about three hours. The location was very busy, which definitely seems to speak to its popularity. Unfortunately, once we arrived after breakfast hours, the lunch menu didn't have too many options that appealed to us. A lot of the lunch selections lean heavily toward Caribbean-inspired dishes(oxtail soup, chimichurri, jerk chicken, etc), and since we haven't ate yet, we decided not to order food. We ended up just getting a caramel matcha, which was good. The café itself is cute and has a nice atmosphere, and the bakery selection looked tempting. I'd definitely come back earlier in the day to try the breakfast menu, but I would recommend checking the breakfast hours before going if that's what you're looking forward to. The limited breakfast window was definitely a little disappointing, especially for a Sunday brunch spot.

I got the Californian omelette which was tasty and came with home fries and toast. My only complaint - and really the only reason for me why this wasn't a 5 star review - is that my omelette included sundried tomatoes (only two I could count made it in), avocado (ok amount, not terribly plentiful, spinach (tons of this!), onions, cheddar cheese and "sweet peppers" which I usually associate with the non green varietals. Of course, it included green peppers - and only green peppers - which do not sit well with me. I ended up picking them out, which isn't a huge deal, and now I know to not assume anything when it comes to peppers listed as an inclusion. I do take responsibility for this one because I ought to have known better to ask but I also can't think of anyone who would rightly describe green peppers as sweet. It was really a mostly spinach and onion omelette at the end of the day, fine really and just gives me an excuse to try something different next time! We arrived around 1:30 so towards the end of the day for them and the service was terrific. Mom and dad had diet soda and I had decaf coffee, which immediately led my father to ask about why HE didn't have coffee. I swapped my drink with him since he was determined to have coffee (and I didn't want to order a second cup) and the staff were super kind to simply get me a fresh cup of coffee too, everyone is a winner! Dad's burger was prepared just how he likes it (one step away from mooing) and he ate the whole thing along with the crinkly fries so wins there as well. Mom got the healthy breakfast sandwich, declared delicious several times, so happy parents all around. I had ordered my home fries well done and wouldn't you know it... well done indeed! Just how I like them really, a little burnt :) All in all, a really great meal and experience. Definitely will be back and next time will brush up on my journalist skills to get more facts before committing to an entree!

So I've heard this has a new owner and I've been meeting to try it…read more I had veggie omelet with american cheese , grits and rye toast. My husband had sausage gravy and biscuits, over easy eggs and has browns. Let me start with the veggie omelet. It was either canned or cooked beyond recognition veggies. They forgot the cheese and took the omelet back to the kitchen, opened it, and threw in cold cheese and did not bother to heat it up. But since I had to scoop out the veggies to make it edible it was a good thing the cheese didn't melt. The grits were inferno hot. I burned the roof of my mouth. So I put a spoonful of the grits on top of the cheese to help melt it and wrapped it back up. So breakfast was a grits and cheese omelet. The rye toast was good. Typical rye nothing fancy or home made My husbands breakfast ; He loves hot sauce - so I steal a bite of his gravy before he slathers the hot sauce on. It had a bit of an odd flavor. I thought maybe smoke flavor , my husband says he did not think it was pork in the gravy. The biscuit was dense, hard and dry. The hashbrowns were plentiful, but lacks any flavor. They didn't use any onions or anything else and the potatoes when they cook some. Nothing a little salt and ketchup can't help. We got a side order of ham to split and that was delicious We did inquire about if they just did eggs as a side order. Three eggs would be $4.94 and the side of ham I think was $3.95 so if you didn't want the potatoes and toast and you just wanted to do some eggs and bacon or eggs and ham, it would be a very cost-effective option and probably the only option we would use if we went back.

It's beautifully decorated, and I suspect that's because of the area it's in and the type of customers it attracts. Our brunch was good overall. However, I was a bit disappointed with the drinks. They come pre-made, with no option to customize them. If there's an ingredient you don't like or can't have--in my case, cinnamon--there's no way to leave it out. Since First Watch is primarily a breakfast and brunch restaurant, I think they should offer more drink options or allow some customization. The biscuits were also a bit disappointing. They were dry and lacked flavor, definitely not what I was expecting. Overall, it's still a nice place for brunch, with a great atmosphere and plenty of options, but there are a few details that could be improved.

Once Summer lost the rock-paper-scissors contest on who had to serve us, she was great and the food was actually fantastic. And honestly, having every employee come out to deliver part of our food was a nice touch.
