Service: Initially came here to try it out and see how i like it as breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Service has always been good. I went here on a weekend and service was busy and they gave us fruits for waiting too long on food that was nice. And i went there during the weekday where it's calm and both service are as good. Ambiance is also nice there. Food: The shrimp and grits is by far one of my favorites. I've had it every time i went because it's that good. I'll start with the wait - way too long. I went on a Saturday morning with my book club (5 ppl total) and it was busy. We were given a 15-20 minute wait after being added to the waitlist (no reservations). About 45 minutes later and two subsequent check-ins with the hostess, we were finally seated. Once seated, our waitress quickly dropped waters on the table but didn't stop to ask what we wanted to drink and didn't come back until I flagged down a passing waitress to ask if there would be someone waiting on our table. Therefore since getting to the restaurant, we didn't order food until about an hour or so into the visit. So needless to say, that didn't leave a good taste in my mouth (pun intended...). Fast forward to the food - it's a pass for me. I tried the HEALTH FREAK COMBO and the pancake was okay. I asked for Swiss cheese to added to my omelet but it wasn't . It comes with chicken sausage that I had to ask for because that was forgotten as well. Once I got it though - they really could've kept it as I didn't enjoy it at all. I also had their JUST BEET IT and that was delicious. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious and there's room for large parties. There's indoor/outdoor seating but be prepared to wait. They do have the option of join the waitlist online while you're in route though so that's an option. Overall, my first impression was meh so I likely will not return. If you are fan of First Watch like me then I'd recommend going there instead. read more

Service: slow to be seated. Server: slow to arrive then stalled ur further after water. Food slow to come out. First coffee pot was cold. We ordered a grilled ham and cheese on a Panini and he came out like it was sitting in a warmer and the cheese wasn't even melted. First things first: plenty of free parking in the lot. We checked in online then went to the hostess station to let them know we were there. There was about a 20 minute wait once we got there which was fine and expected. There wasn't a terribly large waiting area inside and out of the heat but we managed to stay out of the way until a bench opened up for us to wait. Our waitress Brittany was so lovely and welcoming. I ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes with an iced coffee and my husband got the basic skillet with a regular coffee. My only complaint is that the syrup didn't come out with the pancakes and I had to wait a bit before I could flag down someone to grab a syrup. That said, they brought me out a warm syrup dispenser from the kitchen so all was forgiven. We paid with a gift card I got for Christmas 2 years ago and I think it didn't read properly when swiped so Brittany had to manually type in the numbers. Had the time today to finally stop in. Glad I dont judge a book by its cover bc there's nothing spectacular on the outside nor the location that would make you want to step inside. The staff was super nice and attentive (s/o to Rachel D). Explained the menu well. Also let me know abt the free membership to get discounts. The seating area is set up like a communal area. There is also a bar, tables and outdoor seating. I sat at the bar and watched them make drinks and premium coffee with a nice fancy machine. The dish I had was good. Eggs poached perfectly. I had a side of grits, a lil too creamy for me. I like my grits with grit. Besides needing a lil salt and a lil hot sauce, the food tastes great and is presented on the plate well. I joined the Turning Point Perks program and received a birthday reward of $15. So unexpectedly generous! I went for breakfast with a friend. She had the avocado toast with eggs. It was a nice portion size, and she thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I ordered the shakshuka, which is a new item on the menu. It's made with poached eggs and a spicy tomato sauce. The dish comes with plenty of toasted ciabatta bread for dipping. I was a bit disappointed because the tomato sauce was thinner than I would have liked. And the egg had a runny yolk. While this is a common way to poach an egg, I prefer to have a solid yolk. All shakshuka entrees that I've ever eaten had a solid yolk. I suggest that Turning Point servers ask their guests how well done they'd like the egg to be cooked to avoid disappointment. The server was very pleasant and attentive. Came to Turning Point on a Saturday around 2pm and it was crowded! I needed to see what all the hype was about. Despite it being busy, we didnt have to wait at all, which was nice. However, there were a lot of people sitting outside because we had really nice weather that day, in the summer months, I can probably see there being a bit of a wait time assuming business stays the same. We ordered a house cold brew, soft drink, warm cinnamon rolls, avocado smash benedict and breakfast combo. Despite our waitress advising that she would have to check to see if there were any cinnamon rolls left because it was later on in the day, they did end up having some and they came out really fast. Unfortunately, I would not order them again, they were still very doughy, certainly a bit underdone, and the cream cheese frosting was just okay, but they do give you a good amount. The good news is that they were only $8.95. So I'm certainly not upset about the price. The avocado smash benedict was very good, the bacon was thick and crispy, the Hollandaise sauce didn't taste too heavy, the eggs were poached beautifully, and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly. The breakfast combo was also nice. A good variety. Two fluffy pancakes, eggs and the same potatoes (we opted for no meat). All in all, it was just a decent, run-of-the-mill breakfast. I'm dying to go back, but the service was really nice, and the restaurant is spacious and clean. While the cinnamon rolls were pretty cheap, each of our dishes were almost $16 which seems pretty steep for what seems to be typical diner food. For the appetizer, two entrees, coffee and soft drink we spent about $50. I don't think I'd come back on my own accord, but if someone invited me I would definitely go. read more

I recently placed a takeout order here while in the area and was pleasantly surprised! Ordering on their website was quick and easy, and I loved that the menu had photos ,definitely a plus. My food was ready in about 25 minutes. The restaurant itself is tucked in a plaza with plenty of parking. When I walked in, the space felt nice, quaint, and gave me First Watch vibes. The young lady at the counter was pleasant and welcoming. Now to the important part ,the food! I ordered a build-your-own sandwich: bagel with bacon, egg, cheese, and grilled onions, with potatoes on the side. Everything was fresh and delicious. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and probably my favorite part of the meal. Overall, I really enjoyed my food and the experience. I wanted to like Turning Point in Boynton Beach, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the wait time for everything. Not just for a table, but once seated the service moved extremely slowly -- it felt like we were waiting forever for drinks, food, and even basic check-ins from the staff. When the food finally arrived, it was just okay at best, but what really ruined it was the avocado that was served with my meal. It was clearly bad and overripe, something that should never make it onto a plate in a restaurant. I've attached photos because it speaks for itself. Because of that, I didn't even eat my meal. When you're paying restaurant prices, you expect at least fresh ingredients and reasonable service timing. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the expectations at all. We had a hankerin' for a nice breakfast and went to Turning Point. This place gets jammed on the weekends (good for them!) even in the summer. Fortunately for us, we visited on a weekday morning and there were plenty of available seats. While I perused the extensive menu trying to decide what to order, my wife already knew she wanted the blueberry lemon pancakes. She had thoroughly enjoyed them on a previous trip. Sadly, I must report that the pancakes weren't quite up to her expectations. While the portion size was hearty and the pancakes were filled with fresh blueberries, the food temperature was just lukewarm. The blueberries scattered around the plate were very cold, as though they just came out of the refrigerator. Perhaps these cold berries were also causing the temperature of the pancakes to be less than optimal. And the pancakes were a little dry, especially around the edges. I had an egg and cheese omelet with a toasted bagel and home fries. The omelet was delicious. The home fries were okay but a bit bland. I added some pepper to perk them up. The server was very nice and readily accommodated my wife's request for additional sugar free syrup. Overall, we enjoyed our meals, but were not as excited about them as we had hoped to be. Will we return? Probably, but maybe not as soon as we might have if our meals were exceptional. read more

Great service. Cozy-feeling decor and terrific food. The menu is not as broad as First Watch but my crispy bacon was done just right and the home fries were seasoned perfectly. They also allow you to order 1 or 2 French Toast pieces instead of a standard huge plate I would never finish. Such a great spot! I'm so glad Turning Point Cafe opened nearby--what a welcome addition to Boynton Beach. We arrived just before 9 a.m. on a Saturday to treat my parents to breakfast while they were in town. Perfect timing--we beat the morning rush! We were warmly greeted and promptly seated by the friendly staff. Our server was excellent--super helpful and gave us a nice overview of the menu and specials. We started with the Jamaican French press coffee, which was rich, smooth, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes (a generous stack of three) topped with warm syrup--so fluffy and flavorful! My mom chose the tropical strawberry waffle, my dad had the Western omelette, and my husband went with a cheddar and mushroom omelette. The omelettes came with home-fried potatoes, and an english muffin, and everything was cooked perfectly. I sampled a bit of everyone's dish, and honestly, it was all so tasty. After the French press, we ordered a regular carafe of coffee, which was also fresh and satisfying. From start to finish, the service and food were both excellent. Came here today for breakfast for my moms birthday I just the waitlist online before arriving so we were promptly seated on arrival. We all got coffee which was delicious and the food was tasty and hot when it came out. Our server was also very kind. I'm just taking off a star since we told the server prior to ordering we are celebrating my moms dinner and based on other reviews they usually give a birthday dessert but that was not our experience unfortunately. And their system worked smoothly. They acknowledged all arrivals and worked together. You could tell they've hired the right people. We sat at the counter. They told us they really enjoyed their eggs, came often, and already belonged to the loyalty program! The restaurant hasn't been open that long, but we could see why it was so popular. Food was very good and tailored to your requests. We had excellent personable service. Most folks were enjoying breakfast, but I felt more like lunch. I ordered their chopped salad without onions or cheese. It was very good. I especially like the chicken and bacon on it. I tried their lemon vinaigrette first. It went well with the salad and lettuce part of my meal. But I preferred the cilantro honey Dijon dressing with the chicken part. I'd get both next time. My husband enjoyed some cheese grits. And was fine to wait for his warm cinnamon rolls to be baked. When they came, they were hot from the oven. The gal proceeded to add the sugary topping "to taste". My husband had her drizzle on a lot! Despite this being a chain this was the best breakfast we had while visiting the area. Let's start by acknowledging they provide free little snacks (cheerios and fruit loops) for toddlers! The food was ok, my order was not correct and we had to ask multiple times for basic things like butter for pancakes or the rest of my order. The coffee person was definitely an issue, with a very low amount of customers my iced coffee that's prepared in advance took 20 minutes to get to us. After my guest was 3/4 finished with his meal, I was presented with a fruit cup that I did not order.i knew at that point, something was up with my order. After patiently waiting my eggs they came out cold. The manager was called over. She told me that the reason they were cold was my fault because I ordered well done potatoes and they are cooked in a separate oven than the eggs. A well run kitchen knows how to coordinate different temperature foods and have the table food orders served together. This is an awesome Breakfast spot in west Boynton. It's located on the corner of Boynton Beach and Hagan Ranch, in the same plaza as Whole Foods. Have to say that is might be our new favorite breakfast spot now!! The restaurant is new and super clean, staffs are very nice and accommodating. We came here a few days ago for breakfast- it was really good! Service was a bit slow because they were packed, but everyone was super friendly and they gave us some free fruit due to the wait. We sat outside because the weather was perfect, the outdoor area is great. I went inside to use the bathroom and it's very nicely decorated in there, too. I got the vegan pancakes, they were so good! These employees hustled, they all were non stop, well organized, moved swiftly from station to station. This was my first visit and it didn't disappoint. When I arrived, I was greeted and seated immediately to a nice table by window. The ambiance was bright, mostly white with flowers lining an outdoor patio. My table was inside. The server was very friendly. I ordered coffee right away and took time to read the menu. There was something for every taste so it was hard to decide. I went against what I would normally get and got a combo breakfast of eggs, sausage, pancakes and potatoes. The sausage was a little extra but it brought the price in line with other dishes already with meat. The food was very good, hot and appealing. My eggs were not quite over medium but still tasty. I don't like my yolks too runny. Everything else was prepared very well. The pancakes were very tasty as the server said they would be. The place got very busy which surprised me me for a Later Monday morning, but they had plenty of staff to properly serve everyone. I glanced at a spring special menu which had some items I think would be worth trying on another visit. Turning Point is a little out of my way, but worth the trip. When we arrived around 11am, it was starting to get busy. The menu was pretty eclectic, and I loved that they offered French press coffee. I went with the coconut cold brew -- absolutely delicious. Paul and I decided to have lunch here after two doctor appointments. It was a Tuesday at 2 pm. We quickly took seats at the high-top bar. It really wasn't very crowded at this time but it took awhile before we were able to order and another longtime to have the food delivered. I asked the waiter at the end why everything was so slow. He basically blamed the chef staff saying that all the training wasn't complete. They are only still getting it together since opening less than 2 months ago. The Company is growing in leaps and bounds. He said this is their 33rd location and more to open very soon in Wellington, Boca and Melbourne. Paul had a smoothie made with berries and almond milk with a grilled chicken salad. I had the salad with their chicken salad. I found it having too much mayonnaise and lacking flavor.
