nice variety of food, long waits but arguably worth it. The best restaurant and food on campus.

A lot of good stuff under one roof. Remains crowded all the time though.

Food is amazing. Such yummy combinations of ingredients to create healthy bowls that are very…read morefilling. Each bowl has enough ingredients to share with someone, have as two meals, or if you're a big eater it will definitely fill you up. The food is fresh and so yummy and like I said it's enough food to feed two people or have as two meals so it's a cost effective meal choice. Customer service was great and each bowl is made right in front of you so you can add or eliminate any of the ingredients you don't want. The restaurant was clean even though it was busy due to lunchtime hours I was here.

Their bowls always hit the spot and leave me full, satisfied, and feeling good. The service is always great and the staff is very welcoming. I will also note that I have never had a problem with my order here, they always get it correct. The menu allows you to order one of their bowls or curate your own. You can also add or take away certain ingredients to one of their bowls as well. Some of my favorite bowls are the Balboa, the Mayweather, and the Tamari. The bowls are super filling and packed with all the ingredients. Their chicken is also really good, not dry, and seasoned well. If you are in the area and want a healthy, filling meal, check Roots out! I am dying for them to open a location in Gainesville!!

Reserve well in advance during football weekends or special events, such as graduation week. We enjoyed the Tuscan Tortellini ($23): shrimp and chicken sautéed in garlic with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach, herb sauce, cheese tortellini with basil and parmesan. Two of us split the tasty three-lamb-chop special for $36. Several nearby booths were enjoying the Southern Ribs ($23 ): seven slow-cooked, then crispy-fried pork ribs in a BBQ sauce, served with pimento mac-n-cheese, cornbread, and vegetable du jour. In addition to the dinner entrées ($20-$32) and specials ($40), Lefty's has dinner sandwiches under $14 and dinner burgers under $15. Plus flatbread pizzas, $14. Wines by the glass from $8 to $10.50. 24 beers on tap. Cocktails are $9 to $11. Service is fast, efficient, and mostly friendly (ours got a little snippy when we asked about a cocktail order that was slow to arrive, but it was a busy graduation night). Dependable on all counts; we'll be back.

It looks like in a previous…read morelife Lefty's was some sort of an Asian food restaurant just based on the cork bonsai decor partitions between the booths. The food was just whatever. Everything was cooked pretty well. Our daughter loved the grilled pimento sandwich! My eggs were cooked well but the breakfast potatoes left something to be desired. The chorizo gravy...this was a new one for us. Biscuits and gravy is a thing so we were thinking instead of sausage it would be chorizo which sounded bomb. What it was tho was like a chili not so much a gravy. (But I guess it depends who you ask because some NYers call sauce "gravy" so...maybe it was gravy?) It was kind of oily because chorizo. Ultimately, not what anyone had in mind. It was okay and it did get eaten but I don't think it would get ordered again. We would return to Lefty's but it would not be our first or second choice.
