Some required extra money to participate but most were reasonably priced. They rang a bell to signal or remind everyone (in case you are on camp time) that a new activity is starting. A favorite among the kids were the slush puppies in the camp store. My kids, ages 11 and 13 survived even though there was no cell coverage. Do not depend on the campground's WiFi connection, if you can call it a connection. Definitely, need to upgrade that amenity. Our group of 4 families all had buddy sites together, which was very nice. Our site was on an incline and needed extra blocks for leveling but was still a good sized site. Would consider coming back for a short weekend stay but would tell my family back at home that we will be off the grid.

Only thing I got pictures of as I didn't have my phone on me. One star off as they advertised free WiFi to stay connected and there was WiFi but it was absolutely horrible. Couldn't make a connection so I was unable to work any of the days I was there. yes - we are camping but I brought my Mac book depending on being able to work. Couldn't use regular service or hot spot because there was no signal. Suggest investing in a more robust internet service/connection. The kids had a great time with everything. Pool, bounce pillow, DJ both Saturday and Sunday evenings. Sites are standard. Wouldn't say tight or spacious- just regular. Did take a walk on the trails which I was able to see a deer and rabbit on the trails with me. Friendly staff.

We arrived here for a one-night stay while I addressed some business that I had to take care of (Ahem, local state troopers handing out undeserved speeding tickets to out-of-state drivers like candy in this area... you warned. I was not.) I will begin by saying that the office staff was very helpful as accommodating as they could be given the circumstances. The campground itself is laid out very poorly. The main site areas are made up of dirt and mud. They are situated on top of very hilly roads in the middle of a forest. These full shade sites were hard to navigate as the spots were laid out at very steep angles with closely laid out trees and sharp banks that were enough to make us approach our site several times to ensure our exhaust pipes didn't clip the ground and that our camper didn't roll. There are a lot of seasonal campers at this location--which is only a warning because the electrical grid isn't sufficient to handle everyone coming home at 5pm and turning on their A/Cs and water heaters. The voltage was below 104 volts before we even plugged our RV in--a level that was so low it cause our EMS to cut out. Our site's electricity was so consistently non-functional that we eventually had to request a different location in the campground--a request to which the staff was very kind about. In addition to an almost total the lack of cell phone reception (Verizon), the promised on-site Wifi was almost missing in action. There was a very slow connection that could be had as you approached the main office, but the majority of the electric/water-only sites were completely out of range. If you're okay with just going off-grid and are only looking for a quiet night's sleep... you're out of luck here too. There is an active railroad they crosses through the campground. You will hear trains loudly. For the price ($34 for an electric/water site or $42 for a full-hookup) this just isn't worth the stay. We will not be returning.

All because a friend of ours was having a batchlorette party in the pavilion that she rented and Kira didn't want us there because she has some sort of weird vendetta against me. So when I had had enough and told her to bring it on we get banned from the campsite. This is bull crap when my aunt has had a permanent site there and we go there all the time for The last 10 years. I think it is horrible business when they let there 19 year old manager get drunk and then harass guests. I would not recommend this place to anyone after how they treated us when we weren't hurting anyone just trying to have a nice girls weekend.

All of the water in the sky from the week before must have pooled and dripped from above, contaminating nearby water supplies. That being said, many of the 40,000 who were slated to attend the festival had to figure out how to spend the night(s)... Simple, we said, we have a band of our best friends and should just camp out around here. After some searching around, a friend found Skybrook. They promised that they'd be able to accommodate us and were sympathetic with our situation. Now, it would be putting it lightly to say that we have a sizable crew - we had at about 8 RVs and 10 cars... over 40 of us! We were all in this together so said, let's go! Well, we had been waiting in a parking lot to head to the festival and decided on Skybrook. We got there after dark, around 8 or 9 and the office was still open. They put us in a nice open field where we could all camp together. The locals were very nice and would come by to chat and make sure our stay was enjoyable. People who come here more frequently were riding around on the roads on golf carts. We were wondering if we could rent some golf carts, have a runaway golf cart marathon maybe, but couldn't figure it out - oh well! On Friday night, we were graced by a set from DJ Steve who dropped sick beats in the Rec Hall! Many of the locals were there and we came to this camp town to help them party down! All in all, Skybrook came through for us! The facilities were in good shape, the people were very nice and the campgrounds were quiet and clean. If I had to travel 3400 miles for a cancelled music festival, I would stay here again. Was it for this my life I sought? Maybe so, maybe not.

Now as an adult I can appreciate it even more! There are plenty of trails to explore by foot or bike. It's a nice quiet campground and coming from the city, you can really see the stars out there! If tent camping or RV camping isn't your thing, you can go glamping and rent one of their cabins. They're perfect to enjoy with some family or friends (I've done both on a few occasions). Bonus- you get your own shower, toilet and a fully functional kitchen!
