The campground is wide open with a beautiful view of the lake. The grounds are kept immaculate and it is so quite and peaceful even though it's not very private. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked and the host was around even day checking on things. She was wonderful! We loved our stay and our campsite. Can't wait to be back!

I think it is horrible business when they let there 19 year old manager get drunk and then harass guests. Travelled 3400 miles to go to the great Curveball festival at WGI this weekend. Mother Nature had…read moreother plans for us. All of the water in the sky from the week before must have pooled and dripped from above, contaminating nearby water supplies. That being said, many of the 40,000 who were slated to attend the festival had to figure out how to spend the night(s)... Simple, we said, we have a band of our best friends and should just camp out around here. After some searching around, a friend found Skybrook. They promised that they'd be able to accommodate us and were sympathetic with our situation. Now, it would be putting it lightly to say that we have a sizable crew - we had at about 8 RVs and 10 cars... over 40 of us! We were all in this together so said, let's go! Well, we had been waiting in a parking lot to head to the festival and decided on Skybrook. We got there after dark, around 8 or 9 and the office was still open. They put us in a nice open field where we could all camp together. The locals were very nice and would come by to chat and make sure our stay was enjoyable. People who come here more frequently were riding around on the roads on golf carts. We were wondering if we could rent some golf carts, have a runaway golf cart marathon maybe, but couldn't figure it out - oh well! On Friday night, we were graced by a set from DJ Steve who dropped sick beats in the Rec Hall! Many of the locals were there and we came to this camp town to help them party down! All in all, Skybrook came through for us! The facilities were in good shape, the people were very nice and the campgrounds were quiet and clean. If I had to travel 3400 miles for a cancelled music festival, I would stay here again. Was it for this my life I sought? Maybe so, maybe not.

I loved my site with trees secluding me from my adjacent neighbors. I biked all around the site and lake. The lake looked awesome for swimming, fishing and boating access. I saw several playgrounds for young kids. Each of three campgrounds had their own wash house. The one, near my campsite, was really nice! The campground was well maintained and clean. They allow pets but please note most sites don't have RV hookups. Price after fees was $36.25/night.

Not bad, not spectacular. The folks who do come here adore it and many have standing spots…read moreyearround with built out sections like porches or add-ons extending off their trailers. One might call it the poor man's lakehouse. The majority of the campground area is surrounded by trees so the sites are more dirt and rocks than grassy (bring an air mattress!). It's also along a creek so your site may not be too far from a lovely rolling stream -- a great spot to set up for the day with your beach chairs and a ice cold brew. I highly recommend a walk up the gorge. Bring water shoes or sandals with straps because you do end up in the water and your sneakers would end up soaked for the whole stay. The falls are beautiful and a great spot to cool off in the water. There's a rope that's been tied up to a few trees so you can scale the gorge up to the top of the falls. You can have day visitors - cost is $5 per vehicle. The sites overall are a little bit pricier compared to State Park sites (nearly double the price) likely because it's a private campground. There's a store at the entrance of the site where you can grab necessary amenities like papertowels, lighter fluid, garbage bags, etc. I probably won't be back for my own personal camping expeditions, but will join our crew again since this is where they've been going for years.
