The winery grounds are stunning, with plenty of seating areas to relax, enjoy wine, and take in the scenery. It truly feels like an all-in-one destination--they have a winery, café, bistro, and even a shop where you can pick up snacks and local goods. Everything is thoughtfully designed so you can spend the entire day there without needing to leave. The bakery selection was a highlight. They had an impressive variety, from full-size pies to single slices, along with cookies and brownies. The apricot items stood out during our visit, and the chocolate chip cookies and brownies were especially delicious. The persimmon cookie was unique and unforgettable. For food, a barbecue food truck was catering the pickup party. The burger they served was fantastic, and the brisket was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It came with a really good potato salad and fresh watermelon that paired perfectly with the winery's reds. Our favorite wine of the day was the Earthquake red--bold, rich, and perfect with the heavier foods. There was also live music, perfect weather, and a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and everything was clean and well maintained. The gardens were in full bloom, offering beautiful photo spots--especially the sunflowers and fountains scattered throughout the property. Overall, it's the kind of place you can spend an entire day at--starting with a morning visit and easily staying through lunch and into the late afternoon. Whether you go as a couple, with friends, or a larger group, it's a perfect weekend destination for wine, food, and relaxation. Can't wait for the next pick up! :)

The potato salad was seasoned so well that I ended up finishing the entire serving, which, almost never happens. Of course, the Michael David wines was outstanding, as always. Pair that with live music, a beautiful garden setting, and good friends, and it made for the perfect evening. The peaceful atmosphere was the cherry on top. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the night.

The front doors are practically majestic. No appointment necessary, but there is not an actual tasting room, so they do not do tastings in house. All are welcome to peruse the wine list (see pic) & purchase bottles for home. Prices are beyond reasonable; $9 or 10 bucks a bottle, w the most expensive being $16. $120 is the average for a case, & if you buy a case there is a 10% discount. The Cabernet & the Pinot Noir have the largest following, & it is the Pinot Noir that is my personal choice. California is blessed w grapes, & we are lucky to have such easy access to so many quality wines. Unlike the majority of the country (& the world for that matter), we're part of that privileged few that have the luxury of drinking locally, instead of having to fly or order our wine from great & far. Location, location, location. 4 stars.

We know she will only work at places with exceptional wines and Wente was exactly that. It was a beautiful high end experience where Carina took the time to pour us each wine individually and explain the rich history of the winery. SO MUCH HISTORY Carina's infectious love for wine and this industry caused us as usual to buy more wine than we had planned to. But it's okay it was the holidays and worth the splurge. We will be back for some fun summer events and to refill our wine fridge.

It's absolutely stunning.  Love the design, it's immaculate, and delicious. Easy-peasy parking right off of Arroyo Road.  From the moment the gf and I walked thru the gate, we were wowed.  It's lovely, with lots of variety to sit and sip: Tables around a grass area, covered patio, standing in tasting room, cabanas, or outside in open grounds near casual grub. * Cabanas need advanced reservations. I like how if you want a glass of wine, you are so enticed to buy a bottle.  For example, if you want a glass of chardonnay, it will cost you $12.  Two, $24.  A bottle is $22.  And, if you can't drink it all, cork it and throw it safely into your trunk until you get home. #LoveWenteVineyards

I enjoyed the wine flavors here a bit better. I'm more for the lighter white wine selections these days. They gave me good options. The outdoor garden area with patio seating is pleasant. The grounds, buildings and tasting room are beautiful, a sophisticated rustic cabin appeal with manicured landscaping and a craftsman style main building. We stood at the main tasting bar to try four wines. The Chardonnay and especially fhe old vine Zinfandel stood out as excellent to us and we ended up getting some bottles. As there weren't many folks doing a tasting on a weekday we got VIP treatment and had a deljghtful conversation, and education about the wines, from the person pouring for us. We really enjoyed our stay and the surroundings made it extra nice. Compared to the hype of Napa and Sonoma this winery and others in the Lodi area are down to earth and affordable in comparison, especially for tastings. This place very much is worth a visit. Sitting outside to sip a bottle must be delightful too.
