Tula's is interesting, but it doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up. The menu is decent but doesn't quite match the decor - it does however stay safely in the ABQ food comfort zone offering green chile options, gourmet sandwiches, and salads, in addition to sparse but very safe mains. Love the cocktails and fun drinks they have for younger folks. It was pleasant and service was on point when we went. If they had a few more appetizer/entree options or a specials board that would make more sense with the design but guessing it was developed with an eye toward chain expansion so they likely have a set inventory. Bit of a missed opportunity really. Decent option for lunch or dinner. read more

Went to lunch with 10 friends, the lunch could not have been more pleasant. Friendly, informed, helpful servers, great craft cocktails, delicious food, pleasing atmosphere. No qualms about separate checks. 5 stars read more

The only reason I'm giving it a 3 star is because the atmosphere is refreshing. Dined over the weekend and ordered the chicken kabob and friend ordered the steak kabobs. Both were over cooked. Chicken was burnt and dry as a bone. We didn't complain as the young server was so sweet. Didn't have the heart to cause her trouble in the kitchen. May give it another try read more

Pretty good for a new restaurant. Recommend the mac and cheese and the green chili stew. Mixed drinks looked good too.

Amazing food - very large portions ... would be perfect for sharing! Was great buzzing vibe for business lunch. Service was great but a little slow. read more

Loved the experience here. You order as you walk in. They give your table a number and someone brings you your order. The staff is super friendly. The dining area is bright with all of the windows. The food was delicious. Definitely going here again. read more

Service was horrible!!! The waitress came to our table once- to drop off our drinks and that was it. We had to waive her down to receive our check to pay. I had to ask another wait staff to get her to bring us back our card. Waiting for her to come back took longer than us receiving our meal (which she did not bring to us) and eating it! The food wasn't good either. Bland and dry! At least the portions were large (but barely large so me). Would not recommend this place. read more

Went to Tula's for lunch today. Oh boy! Did they deliver!!! Ordered the tater tots and chile strips as an appetizer. It came with 4 dipping sauces: hot sauce (rather heavy on the vinegar), green chile ranch, regular ranch, and chipotle ranch. Couldn't decide which was best so tried them all multiple times but still couldn't finish the dish. Took half of it home. Ordered shaved prime rib sandwich and up-charged Mac and cheese. Only ate half as the sandwich was more than I could handle and I cut it in half. My companion ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with the side of green chile chicken stew. The crispy chicken fillet was hanging over the sides of the bread it was so big. Again, we cut the sandwich in half and took half of it and the stew home. For dessert, we debated between the peach crepe and the ice cream sundae. Chose the sundae with 2 spoons to share. We barely got around that dessert as it was 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate and caramel sauce, 4 raspberries, and whipped cream YUM. !!! This is a keeper in our lunch outing rotation !!! Well worth the money !!! read more

We've been here twice and enjoyed our meals both times. You order when you first come in and they will direct you where to sit. After that a waitress will come and take care of you like a regular restaurant. I wouldn't recommend the pork tenderloin. This sandwich was just ok. The peach crepes were my favorite but were very decadent. Everything came out hot and fresh. There's a full bar and the margaritas are good and strong. It has a good mix of types of food to make everyone happy. read more

A breath of fresh air not found in Albuquerque. A new and different concept. This type for restaurant is what you would find in Nashville, Dallas, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham and the likes. My new favorite restaurant. Menu is small but done right! I grew up in Indiana and pork tenderloin is a staple. To find it on a menu was surprising. It was delicious along with the mac and cheese!!! Great comfort food!!! The service is very attentive and all the wait staff were happy and smiling. The atmosphere and decor is bright and airy. read more

Very enjoyable evening! I'm a stickler for wanting good ambiance without a crazy noise level. What good is a date night if I have to yell at my partner?!? This was perfect. Every member of staff were efficient, kind, and attentive. The food was very tasty and our drinks were great as well. This is a wonderful addition to the Dion's group family. We will definitely be back. read more

Currently our favorite spot to eat. Food is really incredible. Big portions that are filling, and drinks are tasty!

Ordered takeout so cannot comment on the ambience/service of dining in experience. The food was fine, but surprisingly expensive for what we got. read more

I live close to this restaurant and wanted to give it a try, also I LOVE Dions. The inside is nice, front staff courteous. We waited awhile for our food, no refills on drinks, no one checked on us or gave any reassurance that our food was on its way or that it had been checked on. The reason for the one star is the food, the food is bland and nothing seems to stand out. I ordered the green Chile chicken soup, not bad just nothing very good about it, bland. My mom had a chicken salad sandwich, also ok, no flavor. The inside reminds me of home decor at Home Goods. I hope they do well since the space was vacant for awhile. Food, underwhelming. I think the sandwiches are much better at Dions. read more

Food and atmosphere are great. Love the new place! The order and then pay is a little confusing but no big deal. The Chicken Scallopini was really good and filling! read more

Just Ok. Bummed, as was so looking forward to a new place nearby. Service super friendly. Ordering at the counter when you walk in doesn't seem to fit the vibe of the decor etc but not a deal breaker. Food alright. Not bad but nothing to want to come back for. :( read more

Usually I would give them 4-5 stars. The thing I have noticed is the lack of consistency with the quality of their food. I have ordered their Chicken Caesar Salad at least 6 times + in the restaurant and to go. I don't know for sure but in the past the chicken almost tastes hand breaded there in the restaurant, Caesar dressing usually a thick consistency. So sad that I paid $23 dollars for my meal today. The croutons in the tomato soup were awful (in the past they have been very fresh tasting and I don't even like croutons), the salad looked like a bagged Caesar salad from the grocery store, the breaded chicken breast tasted and looked like something frozen from grocery store and the worst part was the salad dressing. It was a very thin consistency and tasted more like a vinaigrette than a Caesar dressing and sadly the lemonade was even disappointing today. I could of went to the store and got a bag of Caesar salad, a can of tomato soup, chicken tenders and some Country time lemonade and it would have been just as good or even better and paid half the price. I've been there other times and they serve bread but not all of the time. I feel like it's a day by day thing on what you are going to get there and I've been shorted on my change as well when paying cash. Overall my experiences have been good but today I was incredibly disappointed the service was good today again service it not consistently good either. read more

Let me start with why it's 3 stars and not 2. The staff is very nice and attentive. The new building is nice and clean. Also, the cocktails are pretty good. Other than that, it's downhill from there. The concept appears to be Italian, but very poorly executed. First, you walk in the door and suddenly have to place your order, from a very limited menu, before you can even get a table, and you have to find your own table. I don't understand why you can't order at your table if you pay with your server when you're done eating. Now, the food... boring and bland. The chicken scallopini lacked any flavor other than the slightly grilled lemon that comes with it. If you don't squeeze that lemon over everything, you will taste nothing. The noodles barely have any olive oil on them, but completely lacking any wine, butter or salt like you find in any traditional recipe for this dish. The chicken was moist but bland, as well. The broccolini still had the hard, blackish ends on them. And, the charcuterie board was something a kid could put together with ingredients from the Walmart deli. No bread either, just about 6-8 small pita bread triangles and those came with the charcuterie plate (no board). Also, overpriced for what you get. For two people, two small ($10 ea) cocktails, charcuterie plate and two entrees was about $80. You would have a better meal at Olive Garden. I don't see this place making it 2 years. It will be a nice building for whatever restaurant moves in there next. I had such high hopes for this place and was extremely disappointed. read more

Probably 3 1/2 actually. Green chili stew has no chicken. Mostly broth. But good flavor. Service a bit slow but they're new so acceptable. Good cocktails. Full bar. But I'd give the food an average rating. Hoped for more. read more

Good food, fast service. Enjoyable every time we have gone. Chicken was crisp but could have been a lighter color.

Food is delicious!! Service was great. We prefer to sit in the patio. It's just a bit quieter. So far my favorite dish is the chopped salad with salmon. So good! read more

Order was lost. Waited over 45 minutes to be told so. Then took another half hour to get meal served.

One of the worst restaurants of my life. We basically had to beg for water because nobody wanted to give us any refills. The food was over salted and the beef was very bloody. The only good person who was there is the bartender, a woman in her 40s. She attended to us more than the actual waiter. Do not come here this place is a joke. read more

Had the pleasure of eating here for lunch today. Was excellent. My friend ordered the salmon and I had the chicken salad, salad. Will be going back to try other things. Service was good, ambiance great, prices reasonable. Give it a try!! read more

Sorry the over priced food just does not cut it; too bland and not well prepared. The building is nice and clean. The staff are efficient and polite. But that was my first and last trip there. According to their website Tula's Kitchen is a sister company to Dion's. Well they need to go take some lessons on cooking good food from Dion's if they want to stay in business very long. read more

I was excited to try this place - close to home, looks fun. I wanted to like it too, but it was fair, I guess. The ordering was strange, I'm not sure what the purposeful the ordering right as you enter is, but whatever. The tables are way too narrow. When you sit in a booth, the person across from you bumps knees - not very comfortable at all. Ok - food: it was just fair. Nothing gluten free except for the kebabs. They were super tough and mediocre. The broccoli was cold on one end and warm on the other. We also had the pulled pork and it was nothing that makes us want to come back. Lastly, we tried the Mac and cheese - again, just plain old pasta. The menu choices were also strange - kinda all over the place, with no real direction. Probably won't come back unless there are some real changes to the food and booths.... read more

This was our first visit to Tula's Kitchen and happened on a Saturday. The restaurant and bar area were busy. It took a little bit of time for our order to arrive at our table, but our waitress (who was also the bartender) was very good about keeping us informed of the status of our order. As a relatively new location, I always expect there will be some kinks to work out. The food and appetizer were very delicious and the portion sizes were very good. We will definitely return at some point. read more

We hoped for a nicer restaurant in the area. Very basic. Chicken deep fried several different ways and relatively expensive.

I was taken out for my birthday by a dear friend. I personally feel that Tula's is overpriced for what you get. I ordered the Greek Appetizer with hummus that had some white cheese on top of it, four itzy bitzy pieces of American cheese, two compartments of nuts, a few slices of tomatoes and cucumber and a few cut up small pieces of pita - all this for the price of $12.50. Sorry but I was totally disappointed. (Oh sorry, I left out the olives). Could not carry on a conversation with my friend as the restaurant is very open in design and very, very noisy. Will I return? I don't think so. read more

A 10 minute wait turned into 40. For two people. On a wednesday. Food was incredibly bland, the chicken sandwich came with no sauce and the "signature" tots had no seasoning at all. The reuben came super soggy and the pastrami tasted spoiled. Service was slow and unorganized. The restaurant looked nice, but the ambiance was ruined by the loudness. Truly an overpriced, free for all restaurant. IHop was a better tenant in this location and their eggs made me feel ill. read more

Meh... the whole experience was just meh. The service was slow, fine. The food was just ok. Not overly impressed for sure.

Have been twice. Terrific food, but a little pricey. Need to dim to lighting a little bit. Super bright. Going to try again soon.

The menu is limited and the food was not great. The service was very slow. We will not return.

We were just there today. Checked in with the hostess. She asked how many in our group, we had five people. She told us that there was no room in the dining room and a ten minute wait for the patio. There were a lot of empty tables, but we didn't think anything of it. Then another party walks in with five people and gets seated immediately in the dining room. Then another party, a family of four, walks in and the hostess proceeds to seat them ahead of us, as well. As we get up to leave the man with the family asks if we were there before them. We said yes, but clearly the hostess was not going to seat us. He then proceeded to tell the hostess that we were there before them and the hostess ignored him. We left and never even got to try the food, but I will NEVER return. read more

Took my wife & son. Nice looking restaurant, friendly staff. High point was the club sandwich my wife had. She enjoyed it. Green chili chicken stew; didn't resemble anything New Mexican & was bland with no discernable green chili flavor. By pork kebabs were very over cooked, dry and lacked seasoning. We asked 2 different staff for drink refills with no response. We then asked a manager (who was bussing tables) for refills who responded to promptly. We wish this restaurant well, however the post-Covid plight of short staff with little experience definitely affects its performance. We do not plan to return. read more

I attended the "soft opening" I had really high hopes for this restaurant but it disappointed me , the food was flavorless and reminded me of hospital food. I'm sorry but dions is better and cheaper.
