Our visit yesterday noticed slim options of bakery items and was offered four seasonal drinks to pick from. While the decor is a bit sparse from what I recall, the service is still kind. I requested soy for my latte instead of the regular cow's milk My latte though was not kind on my stomach (I'm lactose intolerant) Apparently they mixed up our orders and I had dairy milk in mine and not soy milk. My daughter received her macchiato with soy milk and not dairy. We discovered this after we returned home. Let's just say after that I was home bound after that due to cows milk keeping me hostage.

Positives: both times I've been here, clean, plenty of seating, nice relaxed vibe. Cookie: pre packaged. Good quality, a little dry. Coffee: Cap had the right amount of milk. When you order cap's these days, often they end of being a latte with the milk ripping hot. This had the right amount of milk. Espresso was "watery" tasting, almost like they reused the puck. Didn't expect that. Often, boutique coffee shops use a lighter roast that is brighter-fruiter. But this wasn't that. Very bland. Son had vanilla iced latte - said it was "ok."

We have come here many, many times, and this is the first time we have ever seen a reserved table…read more I am not going to do that. The food is legitimately really good, always piping hot, delicious, and their coffee is excellent. But man... it is getting harder and harder to ignore the fact that this place desperately wants to be Scottsdale without actually being in Scottsdale. There is a level of pretentiousness walking through here that deserves its own parking space. People are not just coming in for breakfast they are coming in to be perceived. I am half expecting someone to walk in and announce, "Sorry I am late, my personal brand meeting ran long." And the gym clothes... THE GYM CLOTHES. I work out too. I just do not feel the need to wear my workout clothes everywhere like I am on my way to the Olympics. Meanwhile, people are walking around here dressed like they just completed a 90-minute HIIT class, despite the fact that their biggest athletic accomplishment today was finding a parking spot. And listen, I am all for confidence. Wear what you want. But some things should remain between you, your mirror, and your close friends. Not all body part's you own need to make a public appearance. At this point, their burritos are more covered up than some of the customers. Their dress code is now: Athleisure + confidence + absolutely no fear of exposing an entire area of their body. Anyway... back to why we are actually here: THE FOOD. It's fantastic. Always hot, always delicious, and the coffee never disappoints. That is what keeps bringing us back. But if they start reserving more of the already-limited seating for the Scottsdale Influencer Association, I may have to draw the line and take my business elsewhere. I came for a burrito--not a live-action audition for Real Housewives of Gilbert. Great food. Great coffee. Just please keep the Scottsdale cosplay, reserved-table nonsense, and unsolicited anatomy exhibits to a minimum.

Ready for a massive breakfast burrito? Ready for a unique vibe with genuinely friendly staff? If…read moreso, head over to Morning Kick. The burrito was huge, definitely big enough to share, and they were happy to cut it in half for us. The chipotle aioli took it straight to flavor town and made taking a break between bites a challenge. Wash it down with a dirty chai and your Saturday morning is pretty much complete. I also liked that the burritos are listed in order of popularity, which makes choosing a little easier if it's your first visit. They have free WiFi too, so it's a nice spot to hang out for a bit after breakfast. My only small gripe is that extra salsa will cost you 80 cents. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing if you like a little extra with your burrito. Morning Kick started as a food truck, and luckily for us, they decided to level things up with a permanent spot. You still get that fun, casual feel, but now you can order at the counter, grab a seat, and enjoy everything in a bright, uplifting atmosphere. Great food, great energy, and a place that just feels good to hang out in. We'll be back. Over and over again.
