VERY poor customer service. Bought their top of the line spa but when I needed service i was told I had to do it myself. Poor pump design is apparently not mechanical problem and not covered. When I objected to the having to service their design flaw, the guy on the phone got beligetint and said if I keep demanding they honor their warranty, he would refuse to help me at all. We have had a competitors spa for years and was never this flaw happen or treated this poorly. read more

They sold me filters at the time of spa purchase and didn't deliver them! After 2 months of me wasting my time and energy, they finally sent it, not acceptable behavior from a reputable company. Wait there is more... the side panels of the spa has open gaps and when what we overflows the spa, it goes into the gaps and that's where all the electrical components are and this creates a safety hazard. Again. I filed a warranty service call and no one contacted me, and again I had to waste my time and energy and keep calling the company for the last 2 months. Finally they shipped the panels, but no technician to install them! Just an unbelievable lousy level of service. I would stay away from this company. I was disappointed in the customer service/support. After having owned the spa for less than 6 months one of the side panels made to resemble rock started to split and peel. The customer service's response at Tuff Spa was "Tuff Luck"... that's not covered under the warranty. I felt that they could have been more sympathetic and stood behind the quality of their product even if it technically was not covered. As a customer this was very frustrating after having spent a significant amount of money buying their product a few months prior. They even admitted that they now are using a better quality side panel. It would have been a relatively inexpensive fix on their part to demonstrate their reputation for quality and excellent customer service. I've been a spa owner for years and never experienced the degrading of a spa (even if just cosmetically) after such a short time. Such a shame, and frustrating as a consumer. Hopefully if I ever have to interact with them in the future it will be a more positive experience. read more

The lid was what sold us, but the design is flawed. The cracks catch needles, leaves and other debris from trees. My hot tub is not under any trees, but we have trees. The wind blows and fills the cracks, then when you open the lid everything falls into the tub. If you don't vacuum it every time you get it in the tub and the vacuum doesn't get it all. Who keeps a vacuum by their hot tub. It is a pain!! They need flaps over these cracks. read more

I was impressed by the high ratings online, but also by the delivery and setup (seamless), customer service before and after and the ease of using this unit. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU BUY!!! I originally ordered my Tuff Spa in April 2021, and was not delivered until July 2021. The "Tuff" Spa began to concave upon itself near the filter with styrofom from the internal structure going into the Spa and the filter shifting and eventually snapping off at the seam that it attaches to on the Spa. Due to these issues I had to have it replaced in August 2021and again in October 2021 due to the same concaving issue. The same issue is happening YET AGAIN in February 2022. I informed the warranty dept 2/18/22 and asked to have it escalated to corporate for a refund option, warranty staff stated they would send information and pictures to corporate for escalation and next steps due to continued issues. A few weeks went by and I heard nothing so I have called multiple times, sent multiple emails, and I have had no response from anyone at Tuff Spas and it is now April1, 2022. . . a month and a half since I reported my issue. UNACCEPTABLE! I have had 3 Tuff Spas total since July 2021 due to structural malfunction/issues, also UNACCEPTABLE. After the 2nd replacement in October I was told that if it happened again the company would issue a refund, so that is what I am asking for. Staff friendly and responsive. Spa itself could use some tweeks. Spas seats are not ergonomic for anyone shorter than 5'6". My wife is 5'1" and cannot stay seated running the jets on high, she ends up being blown off the seat. Hard top would be better with nematic shocks for easier lifting and closing. Only other issue I have, is the plastic they use makes the water have a weird odor when the water is heated up. read more

I've waited to write my review. I purchased a TuffSpa from the Glendale Home and Garden show about six months ago. I like that it is small and very easy to maintain. The best part is the hard cover lid. That is just genius! After six months, I can safely say this was a very good purchase. I like that I am buying from a local company, and they have been friendly and responsive any time I had questions or concerns. This was definitely not the cheapest spa, but these days you do get what you pay for. Draining such a small spa takes a lot longer than I expected, but it only needs to be done two or three times a year and it, too, is very easy. It just requires a bit of patience for gravity to drain the water through a one inch garden hose. All in all, I can highly recommend Tuff Spas not only because of their build quality, but also because of their customer service and you are buying local (or at least buying American.) Maintenance is very easy and I have had zero issues. read more

BEST SPA EVER! ! I started saving my overtime years ago to purchase an outdoor hot tub and after TONS of research (I am a total nerd) we settled on a Tuff spa, we never regretted that decision for a second. These spas are less expensive than the competition, DURABLE! And stand the test of time. The average spa lasts seven years and we have had ours for longer than that and can easily maintain it ourselves. The customer service at TUFF is second to none and they are attentive kind and clearly have helped us fix the few things that have come up over the years. I don't know if any spa companies that make it easy for you to maintain and repair your own spa. With their excellent customer service we will be clients for life ! Whenever I see Tuff at a home show or our local events I ALWAYS let the salesman know how much I love my spa and I will eagerly tell possible customers that they need to get a TUFF not another brand. My husband is always embarrassed when I do this, but he agrees --it is the best company ! read more

Glad I am having to change more original somewhat grumpy review... First off, the reason this review is 4/5 and not 5/5 I think is more the fault of their delivery company - which may be sub-contracted, I'm not sure... We purchased our Tuff Spa at the SD County Fair and bought a pre-built model because they supposedly could deliver it the next week. The following week we heard nothing. Long story short, I ended up calling the company in Arizona twice. I spoke with a very nice gal who said they did have record of the order and she would contact the delivery company about the order. After doing this twice, I got miffed (it had been nearly 2 weeks) and left a poor review. Eventually, I contacted them through Facebook (these days, that's probably where I should have started :) ). I within 15 minutes, I heard back from the General Manager, Mike (I believe - I'm terrible with names). I did not leave my phone number on the FB message, so he obviously bothered to look up my order. He was very nice and very apologetic. He knew exactly which spa was mine and very honestly said that he could see no reason while we had to wait this long. He said he would personally "call the delivery company every 15 minutes" until they contacted me. He apologized multiple times and said he was sending a "care package" of chemicals I'd need to get me through the next year. With 20 minutes a received a call. The lady was very polite and said they could be there for delivery in 2 days (the following day was July 4th, so a holiday). Not long after, I got a call from Mike to make sure I'd heard from the delivery company and was satisfied with everything. On Thursday, the spa was delivered. They carefully dragged it through our backyard on a "sled" and placed it where we wanted on the existing pad. They were polite and on time. As of this time, we have not filled it and turned it on - but I'm very excited! It looks great out there. As a side note, I just listened to a voicemail from Mike to make sure I was happy with the delivery. We are! Long story short - yeah, we waited a bit for delivery. We don't know what happened, but the company made it right and followed through - that's really all I can ask. Can't wait to give it a try! read more

Ok i finally received my spa. I think it was money well spent. I was still disappointed in the time frame, however the spa itself is great! It is virtually chemical free. Very little chemicals. A capfull is it!.yeah! It heated up in 10hrs and stays hot. The cover is awesome, since it is lifetime guaranteed. Don't have to spend $800-$1000 every 1 to 2 yrs for a new cover. They did give me the extra chemicals. So the spa so far i give 5 stars. It was the time frame that took it down a star. read more

Tuff spas has the worst customer service. Went on to the Albuquerque store and purchased a tub that would be delivered within a week. Was called that same day and was told that they actually did not have the tub we selected on clearance. They offered to give us an upgrade but it would be ready by the end of August. We made contact with them and they changed the date to late in September. During all this we were told at the time we purchased our tub that they would be able to use a crane to lift it over our wall since we didn't have enough clearance through our gate. Of course they said they would have never promised that then after numerous calls and emails that they could split the cost with us to rent a crane. they told us that the can't would cost between 300 and 400 and that we would pay half. when they came back with the pride it was 600. After complains to them, all they said was this isn't going to work out. We will cancel the tub. Putting the ol lame on us for misinterpreting. It's a good thing we hadn't paid up front because they would have also charged us a restocking fee. Very terrible company if you ask our family. read more

Bought this spa in March 2019 and it was delivered in May. Within 7 months we had an issue with the pump. Unfortunately, you have to deal with the representative in your area which ours was very aggressive and ended up not wanting to warranty the part and blamed us for the reason it went out. He also wanted to send a person to 0ur home to analyze the issue (for a fee of course, which wasn't cheap) and after searching this person, he had an f+ on BBB for multiple reasons, including ordering parts, taking money and never returning to complete a job. After talking with corporate office MULTIPLE TIMES and arguing with them and explaining our situation with our local representative we received another pump but ended up paying someone reputable to put it in. We were advised that we weren't using the right chemicals despite us being shown to use these chemicals when the hot tub was set up and they were also the chemicals that Leslie's Pools recommended. Now, less then 2 years of ownership, the hot tub won't even start up. And no, I cannot get any help from anyone. These people claim "lifetime warranty" but basically once you buy the hot tub you are on your own and they don't care. I would suggest doing your homework and paying a little more for someone who actually cares about their customers. read more

I have had my Tuff Spa for a little over nine months. It stopped working and I called the place I purchased it and they said they would call Tuff Spa's and get the work order approved. I didn't hear from them and so I called Tuff Spa's directly. They said they would have a spa repair company call me. The Tuff spa representative kept asking me the serial number I told him it was up against the wall and I have my receipt for the spa. He was hemming and hawing about the warranty. I told him to look it up under my name. Well he said he would rather have the number. Anyway to prevent the water from turning green I added extra sanitizer. I knew they had to have water in it to repair it. The repair company came out a week later. He opened it up and said that the warranty was probably void because there was too much sanitizer. I told him the water would be green it I didn't put extra sanitizer. He took off the panel and everything looked brand new. He said the heater was corroded because of to much sanitizer. I put the sanitizer in it after it stopped working. These people are rip off artist. You know you can't trust anyone when they kept looking at the receipt and thinking it wasn't real. He kept asking me the date I bought it and saying it was a 2016. That was when it was manufactured. I told him that I bought it January 17, 2017. That was when it was delivered. I have pictures and I'm going to contact the BBB. I had to pay for the service call and a new heater. read more

I purchased a Tuff Spa May 2019 at the Idaho State Fair. I have had nothing but problems with this spa. I contacted several persons at customer service and was given the run around. I was told that they had a Tuff Spa service in the town I live in. Later to find out that was a lie. They contract out other spa companies to do their dirty work. I was sold a lemon spa, I told them that several things were wrong with this spa and and that the spa top didnt fit. The second month I told customer service to come get the spa and return my money...the response was : we dont do that. After photos of the spa being level, photos that they requested to take at night with red light on, and several others as well as measuring the spa for a new lid to be made. Lid adjustment that drilled 16 new holes and it still doesnt fit. New controls, new thermostat etc. It is now 8 months later and this spa is STILL NOT FIXED! Save yourself the headache and buy elsewhere. Customer service is a joke. I have contacted better business bureau as well as Federal Trade Commission. My power bill is $200 a month higher because of this spa. read more

We absolutely love out new Tuff Spa. We've been in every day since it was delivered. From the original sale (we bought at a home show) to delivery and set up to factory follow-up, everything has been a positive experience. Maintenance is simple (to say the least) and the set up person walked me through it all while he was here. The colors are a perfect match for our home and the only thing I would change is to have purchased a model with padded headrests (I don' they were offered in our model). Further, the spa runs great. We bought the upgraded model with extra pumps, etc. The darn thing is built like my classic Corvette: No frills, just power. DO NOT BUY this trash! Unfortunately I made the mistake of walking into Tuff Spas in Tulsa to be ripped off with a $4600 pile of plastic shit! A year and one month after wasting my money on this trash tub it completely stopped working. After several phone calls and emails from their non existent customer service they sent out someone to so called fix the trash tub. The pump was replaced and less than an hour later it ceased to work again. After further attempts to get the trash tub working all my emails and phone calls were ignored and calls not returned. I called a local repairman and he told me it was the computer and it would cost $1500 to replace. I am not going to sink another dime into this heap of crap. I will be dumping it at the doors of Tuff Spa for them to haul off. This pathetic company sales extremely poor quality trash with absolutely zero customer service and the worst warranty on the market. Look elsewhere for a Hot Tub...trust me!! read more

We purchased our spa here in Tulsa from the showroom. We got a discount because it had some cosmetic flaws. It was delivered We got it hooked up and it had a broken part so it leaked. After my husband taking it apart and finding the broken part we got it ordered and it was delivered. They sent a service person out to install it, it was a 2 person job so my husband ended up helping the guy install this part. We hooked it up filled the tub and it is still leaking! It might be a good product but they have no service people to take care of the customer. They rely on you to figure out what is wrong submit a service request to an out of state office. We have had it 2 weeks and have yet to use it! At this point I'm ready to have them remove the product from my property, refund me and let me buy from a reputable company that will provide service for their product....I would not recommend them no matter how much you like the hard cover... read more

When the spa was ready to be delivered, they contacted us, gave me a delivery date and window and were on time. Jared delivered, installed and set up. They had a unit become available earlier so we got it installed even earlier than we planned. The installers spent plenty of time reviewing how the spa works. I used to work in the spa industry and these spas are overpriced and under quality as far as manufacturing goes. You'll see these hot tubs mostly in the Home Show market, hence, a sign of lower reputation of warranty & customer service follow up. The TT150 sells for nearly $5195, which is outrageous for a two person hot tub! A roto molded hot tub with a hard top cover is no design masterprice. If you are buying roto mold, you are being ripped off if you are paying more than $3500. Shop local, get a better deal than at these "Home Show Great Deal Prices". read more

Received a fair price for the product while at the local county fair. Highly recommend buying through a fair venue because that's where they will negotiate better pricing/included options. The sales rep said it would take 4-5 weeks to arrive, but it took 7-8 and didn't work for a week upon arrival. I had to call the office on 4 occasions to check on delivery dates and I didn't even call until the start of the 6th week. They said it would be there in 2 days but needed my balance in full paid to ensure shipment. I was told it would take 2 days to arrive and be set-up. I paid and it was 2 weeks later when the shipment arrived. They delivered the wrong spa. We had to convince them of that through repeated trial and error. Spent several hours troubleshooting over the phone. Turns-out the spa arrived without an electrical connection - period! Eventually they agreed to pay for a local service person to come install a power connection to the spa. No set-up was done, just conection to power plug. Had to read-up on the set-up ourselves. Still not 100% sure we got what we paid for because nobody arrived to check proper set-up. The company recognized the poor service and shipped us a 1 year supply of chemicals for the troubles. That was nice, but we would have preferred the product shipping on time and delivery and set-up (like we paid for). read more

Only had the tub a few days, and it's very nice. Install went smoothly except after filling the tub and following the directions to avoid an airlock, an airlock occurred and prevented pump #1 from functioning properly. The man that delivered the tub talked about airlocks and that they were extremely rare. He identified which panel to remove if an airlock should occur. Unfortunately when it did occur, there was no pump behind that panel. I called the factory and was advised to remove a different panel. I removed it only to find pump #2. I called the company back and the associate then identified a different panel. These panels are held in place by 16 screws, so it's somewhat of a job to remove them. Also, to clear the airlock the pump that's involved must be running on high as you loosen a fitting to let the air escape. Working under the open hardtop which covers the correct panel complicates the job. Finally, if the company has to respond to clear an airlock, the literature that comes with the tub says you will be charged for their response. At this point I would have given the tub and company 5 stars, but people who are designated to give directions on their product need to be better schooled. Page Decker read more

I bought the spa on a Sunday at the Tulsa Home and Garden show and was told they would contact me on Monday to set up delivery. Never heard from any one until I called for a second time on Thursday and told them if I did not receive a call to set up a delivery time i was going to cancel the whole thing. I finally got a call that evening. The set up was set for Sunday at 1pm. They showed up at about 9am with not phone call. The set up went good. I am happy with the spa just not to happy about the way they handled setting up the set up time. read more

we purchased our spa from a home show with the dealer being from 3785 east strawberry drive in Gilbert Az 85298, the salesman told us they would hook it up and it would be ready to use, but the delivery just dropped it off and refused to hook it up, we called the dealer and he said we had to hire a electrician to hook it up, we feel like we where ripped off by this dealer! read more

do not buy a tuffspa!!! the caps on the underside of the lids come off and dump tiny insulation balls in the spa water. tuffspa says that the shell of the spa is lifetime warranty but they lie about that. they will not replace the entire lid and will not fix the problem with the caps coming off. read more

LOVE Tuff Spa!!! Bought ours in 2012 and it is still going strong. Love the cover. We live in Colorado where a 40 mph wind is just another day. With previous spas we were replacing blow away covers about every 6 months. Tuff Spa is holding strong for 6 years now. No operating problems in 6 years either.
