My suggestion is that you need to know enough about what you are doing before buying materials here. If you are a casual DIYer, you can get into some trouble as what you buy is not returnable. Specifically, here is what I love about BMO. I have purchased all of my millwork for several projects and saved a considerable amount of money. I have purchased prehung doors for both interior and exterior applications and have saved quite a bit of money and found just the right thing. My clients were happy and they saved money on their materials. Lately they have begun offering inventoried cabinetry for kitchens and baths. You don't have a great selection of colors and styles however, what they offer is a good quality for the price.

This place has good deals like any Menards but it's a bit different here than your Coon Rapids or other More updated ones. So this place is a little outdated for its checkout system (lanes) but they manage to make it work out just fine. They can move some serious lines very quickly and always seem to have people on standby for just that. They seem to manage the people very nicely because i've never once had a problem and my receipt pile from the last 3 months is about 2 inches thick squeezed together. I've gotten a lot of rebates back and will keep spending them on rebates or free after rebate items for a long time to keep me coming back. One con i can find about any Menards right now is the Mail-in rebate checks come back in a readable format for others to see and steal or use easily. I think there should be another security feature added somehow to clear that up. Keep up the good work !

We recently had the siding replaced on our house. After this was complete, there were a lot of nails poking through the walls in our garage. Our garage is unfinished so the nails that were used to hang the siding came through to the inside of our garage between the studs. For aesthetic and safety I decided to hang some wall panels which is another story. Anyhow after the panels were up this is where the idea comes into play. I wanted to give the panels some support behind them but didn't want to pull them off the walls. First I thought about spray foam but then figured that I would probably need dozens of cans or more. So then I thought what about packing peanuts? I thought this was a great idea. So I started looking on line and at office supply stores. While I found some, the price was more than I thought it should be. That is when I found TwinSource. A 14 cubic foot bag was just over $20 or about a third of the price anywhere else. I thought how could the price be that much better? Did I figure the amount needed incorrectly? Well I placed my order and received a follow up email within a few hours that my order was ready to pick up. TwinSource is located in an industrial building. The process was super simple and my bags were waiting for me when I arrived. Turns out TwinSource is more than peanuts. They have packing supplies, paper products, cleaning supplies, food service supplies, boxes and more. I stood directly in front of her and she didn't even glance at me. I'm standing and waiting to be helped, and another customer comes and as soon as he's in line he's asked if he needs help. Fortunately the customer realized I had been standing there so he gave the spot to me. Regardless, he was still finished first despite him having 5 buckets of paint and probably more to come and I had two and was still waiting! I waited for over 40 minutes, not including the amount of time I stood in front of Savannah and wasn't acknowledged. My paint sat on the counter untouched while they helped other customers. This will be the last time I go to the paint section. Also, last time, it took 3 people(Savannah included) to tell me that they could only make the primer gray. My suggestion for improvement: 1. get people who don't discriminate, because I feel discriminated against as I was the only black customer and the white customers were helped first even though they had more paint than me. Savanah obviously didn't want to help me and refused to even acknowledge me. 2. Get people who understand how to work behind that counter

They took care of a drywall+door installation and a bathroom fan replacement. Among the 4 contractors we contacted for this, they were the only ones showing up in person to provide a quote. The others only asked for pictures and provided quotes based on those. The quote from Jose & Angela was very reasonable. A couple of times, as it is often the case, the project required some extra costs due to the unforseen conditions of the door and the fan we purchased. Jose was very transparent in describing the reasons of the additional costs and updated our contract immediately both times. At each step we knew what we were paying for why. Based on our experience, this is not something to be taken for granted. The final job was absolutely high quality. Moreover, Jose and his team did all they could to minimize the impact of dust etc on the rest of the house. I am very happy we (somewhat randomly, via Angi) got to connect with them. They will certainly be our first choice for any future work on the house that falls within their expertise.
