They are very much on the expensive side and if you're not technologically savvy you might want to avoid (they use a phone app for the machines). But all in all a good experience. I don't go to laundromats often - just for my oversized blankets - but this one was clean and tidy and felt safe. read more

Stopped going to the laundromat on Solano Ave in Albany to try to find a better spot. Started going to Spincycle in El Cerrito Plaza - they are always ridiculously busy and the floor is always dirty. Today while waiting at Spincycle for one of the 3 larger machines, I just decided to get back in my car and drove to TubTown. I was actually pretty excited because I'd read the reviews prior to coming today. When I first pulled up, there was constant shouting. I got out of my car - it's coming from some Evangelical preacher or something across the street who has a bullhorn. Annoying af and it's been going on now for like an hour. But not the laundromat's fault. Now for my actual laundromat experience: There were about ten people here on a Wednesday around noon - not crazy busy and there an ample amount of machines available. Machines smelled clean and the floor is a little run down but not in a way that makes you feel gross. The worker here mopped the floor while I was there, which I appreciate. Average laundry prices - a bit pricey but it's worth it for the machine availability. Spincycle machine for $11 can accommodate more than the $11 machine here (warm water), but you always have to wait for that big one at spin cycle. It was my first time here and getting my wash started was a bit frustrating. I asked the worker and he told me I could buy a card for $2.50 and load it or download the app for now fee. I downloaded the app and spent way too long trying to unsuccessfully connect it. I finally asked the worker for assistance and he tried multiple times but couldn't get it to work either and said maybe it's my phone. I've never had issues with my phone before but what could I really do at this point other than buy a card? So I bought a card - $2.50 for the card plus a THREE DOLLAR FEE to load the card using your credit card!!! I opted for the $100 loading option in order to get a $20 bonus, so after paying the $105.50, I had a balance of $117 to use on my card. I can't believe every time I reload by card it will be an extra $3 fee! Once I finally started my wash with the card, I was wondering when I would be told to "add bleach" as the machine indicates you should add it when it displays. I asked the worker how long into the cycle it normally takes before you are instructed to add the bleach. He seemed like he was a little annoyed but trying hard to hide it and be nice - which I personally think is still good customer service lol because you can't really help feeling annoyed but you're making an effort to hide it. Anyway, he was like "you can add the bleach before you start the machine" and I was like "well why does it say wait to add the bleach until it displays"? Anyway, we walked back over to the machine I was using and the machine was now displaying the message "add bleach" - about 3 minutes into the wash cycle, if anyone is wondering. 4 stars for facilities/machines/cleanliness. 1 star for app not working and laundry card fees - & that's a pretty big deal for me. So I'll give an avg based on that, but it would be more a 3.75 for me read more

Tub Town is great! It has a parking lot so it is easy to unload my laundry to the washer :) Good price (cheaper than my apartment machines) and great space to hang out while waiting. This location is also close to some of my favorite restaurants :) I can grab some goodies when I wait for my clothes to wash and dry. read more

I have to say it was an amazing experience beyond my expectations. I checked out this site last week because of a friend's recommendation. First of all, it was a very convenient location. There are plenty of parking spots available. Then the staff warmly welcomed me and brought a laundry cart to me. Wow! I never saw a laundromat worker ever serve customers this way. And he quickly showed me how to start a new account and I got my $20 bonus when I put $100 in :) There are various sizes of washing machines. The smallest is 2 loads. That's about the right size for my typical laundry. It's more pricey than the washing machine at my apartment complex ($4.25 per run at Tub Town vs $2 per run at home). But I realized that this washing machine actually could fit about twice as much so the price is about the same per load. And it was very fast and powerful. It took 25 minutes to finish. Then I headed toward the dryer. It's a lot more spacious. The 3-load one costs $1.50 and 5-load one costs $2.00. It took about 25 minutes to finish as well. That sounded cheaper than the dryer at my apartment complex ($2.00 per 49-minute run). Normally when I use the dryer, it sucks a lot of money. I typically need 2 runs, about 1 hour 30 mins to really make my clothes dry. So I was skeptical thinking I might need to do 4 runs to completely dry my laundry based on my experience. That could suck quite a bit of money. But to my surprise, after 25 minutes, everything is dry. Wow! Their dryers are VERY POWERFUL. It ended up saving both time and money. While I was waiting for my laundry, I waited in their nice facility. There are TV programs. And I found a nice and clean tabletop to do my remote work there. The bathroom was locked but the staff opened it for me when I asked. It was very clean. Overall, I was A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND I was HIGHLY SATISFIED with my visit. It's great for money, for time, and for experience. I would recommend everyone to give it a try. read more

Dang this landromat is NICE My aparntment building has a laundry room but its kind of a downer. So I frequently take it to a laundromat and just do a big batch. I was looking around to see whats on Yelp, and saw this with good reveiws. So I took some sheets and a few clothes over, and wow. The woman who was on shift greeted me at the door, and asked nicely if it was my first time at their location. When I said yes, she offered to walk me through using the card machine (it is a cashless facility). The whole time I was there, they were constanlty cleaning, resetting, mopping and just generally making it nice to be there. Tcard machine works by loading it with with credits. I think it starts at 5 or 10, not sure. I did $25. You can use the card for the washers, dryers and detergent boxes. The machines fit a lot of stuff. I did it wrong by bringing just a few darks and then some whites, plus my bedding. I wound up using 3 machines which wouldnt have been necessary if it was all the same color (tho I always wash sheets separate anyway.) The washers take 25 minutes (I think around $5 for the big drum and $9/11 for the giant and ginormous ones). THe $5 machine fits a lot though. The dryers take about a half hour ($1.50). Move efficienlty and you'll be done in an hour. A really cool feature is that you can enter a phone number to request an auto-text when your laundry is finished. It tells you the number of your machine too, so you dont walk around searching. read more

This laundromat is really clean and convenient, I hope it stays this way. There are a couple of things that could be improved. For one, the small washers close pretty early, around 7pm I think. That makes it tough to get in there with a quick load of laundry if you work late. You need to go with the bigger machine and pay more. Also, it would be so much easier if they had machines that took credit cards or coins, even phone pay! I hate having to carry around a laundry card. The outlets for charging phones or working on your laptop while doing your laundry are a lifesaver, and wifi would be the icing on the cake! It would also be nice if the location would close at midnight. read more

Its amazing! I am so glad it has a new owner its way better now , everything is new and cleaner !As soon as i arrived this morning the worker there helped me take my big load of clothes inside very friendly and explained how everything works now and they have different size options for the dryers great for small loads and blankets loads love it! Love that it takes credit / debit and cash of course and it even has the option for ebt! I will definitely go back there i am so happy its open again but with new owners great service and great washers/dryers! read more

Absolutely the best laundromat I've been to. I was greeted at the door and the gentleman helped me take all my stuff in. He took the time to explain all the machines to me.
