This place deserves far more than a 5 star rating. First the staff. Shea was absolutely fantastic both Saturday and Sunday. She is passionate about what she does and she made our trip. Not enough positive things we could say about her. She is absolutely fantastic! Then the Restaurant Manager, Jamie. She too was terrific. Her knowledge of Celiac and her willingness to go above and beyond made for a wonderful final evening to our visit. In addition to an amazing staff this place is absolutely stunning. From the breathtaking views and grounds to the Tuscan inspired tasting room this place is a true gem. The ambiance is wonderful. Now for the wine. Every Red we tried was absolutely terrific. It will be hard to drink any other wine again. All and all definitely our favorite place and we look forward to our next visit. read more

Based on the recent 2020 award we were excited to check out this tasting room. We came in, we're immediately asked for a credit card to put on file (like a common bar) then sent to a table with our first taste. We were told they would watch for when we were ready then they would "find us" to complete our tasting. 20 minutes later... no wine. Then some lady stole our flowers off the table and said she needed them for an outside party. Then... we had to ask 3 more times for each of our tastings. We are actually really into wine - the quality of the grapes are mediocre at best and the service turns this into a really tough experience. Can't recommend... read more

For a winery full of white women standing in groups, this place was strangely welcoming. The girls behind the counter were very friendly, accommodating, and suggested some decent flavors for my sweet-lovin' tongue. [You get to sample 5 bottles for 10 bucks]. And although the fire-place was taken by another group, the rest of the store was filled with stuff that reminds one of 'World Market' in Seattle [and just why one loves Washington State and its snotty liberals]. I want to say Bob H the GM was the best part of this experience! He was so kind from the first steps into the tasting area! Nice wines, fantastic views and decent food! Wine tasting is $10 for 5 wines of your choice, with generous pours. I liked their rose a lot, and sinistra. No uppity-ness that you see at a lot of wine tasting rooms. Bottles are reasonably priced to buy. The view overlooks lake chelan in front, beautiful vineyards on rolling hills on the sides and a nice man made waterfall st the back. There is a gazebo for large groups that looks quite sweet. Service at the restaurant was nice, they gave us plenty of space but were yet attentive. As for vegetarian food, I ordered the chicken pesto flatbread with the meat replaced by vegetables, and the eggplant parmigiana, a little cheesy but tasted decent. The lava cake was delicious. This is one of the best and almost the most beautiful winery I ever visited in Chelan, WA. We arrived at the winery around 7:30 pm for dinner without a reservation, the host informed us that the waiting time would be about half an hour, There are some open table but the kitchen staff are very busy and they can not put to much pressure in the kitchen. We decided to order some wines while waiting for the table, The host come back and check on us multiple times and let's us know that he didn't forget about us. In less than twenty minutes he let's us know that our table is ready. We were seated in a tent outside the building near the waterfall, with the most amazing panoramic view of the mountain and the beautiful lake Chelan. each of us order different dishes for dinner plus a few appetizers, soups, salad, and desserts. Amazing setting; costco food. The building looks great. The outdoor eating area looks over vineyards and lake. The wine is fine. It's a little surprising when the food shows up: at best it's plain; at worst it's low quality. We had the antipasto plate which, was plain but quite nice. Then the Gorgonzola burger and the chicken sandwich. Both the burger and the sandwich were surprisingly poor. The patty was the kind you would buy in bulk at Costco, and everything else felt on par with Red Robin. I like Costco and Red Robin; I guess we just expected more here. read more

This place is built for wine snobs. My friends and I went to Chelan for a series of wine tastings and this was the first stop. (Since I don't like wine, I was the designated driver.) The pours are generous, and the descriptions are hilarious. Here's a sample: "2007 Estate Pinot Grigio - Pale straw in color, this is our finest Pinot Grigio to date. It is brimming with the attributes that are considered ideal in this Varietal. The nose is laden with fresh apricot, pink grapefruit, Anjou pear, jasmine, and a hint of lemon grass. In the mouth, the combination of stone-fruit and citrus contain the perfect balance of residual sugar and acidity. It asks the drinker to savor each sip as a treasure to be remembered. This is by far the finest Pinot Grigio this Estate has produced." HI-LAR-I-OUS. read more

I'm a bit confused as to why the rating appears to be low. I completely disagree. I visit this winery each time I visit Chelan and my parents and their friends are a part of the club there. The wine is EXCELLENT. I love the Bellisimarossa (I think that's how its spelled) and the Gewürztraminer. The food is fantastic as well. Some people have mentioned the portions being small but this isn't the case. This isn't Olive Garden, its a high end winery. The food is high end and rich. I left absolutely stuffed from my carbonara and I'm not a small gal. I also noted that some thought the food took awhile. Ours never does and I must again remark at the quality that goes into their food; that takes time. The staff is always extremely kind and adhere to COVID regulations. If you were to rely on others reviews, you'd be missing out in a HUGE way. This is my favorite winery. Please visit and make sure to take some home! read more

Visited here five years ago and the wine was exceptional, people friendly and overall a fun place to visit. Visited them again President's weekend 2013. they have expanded considerably and it's simply beautiful. The place was packed, took 25 minutes to get served for a tasting, then the person that got us started walked away and never came back. We did like a couple of whites so we went to check out and was told we also had to pay a tasting fee (pretty much all the other wineries in the area waive the tasting fee when you purchase wine). After explaining our poor tasting experience they waived the fee. About the wine. Their reds used to be exceptional and are now mediocre and overpriced. In summary - poor service, tasting fees that are not waived when purchasing wine, overpriced for the quality. We won't be coming back. There are just too many other wineries that we prefer in the area. read more

My experience here was noteworthy enough to compel me to write this Yelp review. The wines are complimented by not only the views of lake and vines and beautiful blue sky, but by an attentive and knowledgeable staff, and the most incredible outdoor restaurant/seating area. (Mid day pianist and seared scallops notwithstanding.) I am not a wine snob. I work at a winery that is rustic, authentic, and unpretentious. I can understand why some would qualify this as "pretentious" when many of the surrounding wineries (not in Chelan necessarily) are a lot less aesthetically impressive ("the focus is on the wine" et al) .... I generally agree with them, but find that Tsillan Cellars is able to bring all of these factors together without sacrificing wine quality. (I cannot say whether this is true historically). Thank you, Tsillan, for transporting me to Tuscany for an afternoon. I am all the more enriched for discovering your little pocket of paradise. read more

Terrible service. We walked in and were ignored completed, like we were invisible. None of the servers would serve us or even speak to us or even make eye contact with us. It was rude, snobbish, and unfriendly. There are better wineries in the areas, so I say SKIP IT. We were camping at the state park, but we also wanted to enjoy some wine tastings and buy some wine. I guess in our hiking boots, hoodies, and jeans, we weren't the type of clientele the tasting room wanted. What would probably surprise Tsillan is that I was traveling with some serious wine drinkers, and we probably spent $200 at the other wineries we visited. I'm also friends with a lot of wine drinkers and you know what tasting room I will specifically NOT recommend to them...? Tsillan's loss. read more

Came here for a wedding, which was all outside, overlooking the view of the lake..so pretty!! Great venue for a small intimate wedding- set up was organized, service was prompt and attentive, and beautiful winery, but they close promptly at 10 so no getting crazy late here ;-) I didn't see a tasting room here, more just the bar in the restauranty area so it feels more like a restaurant with a nice outdoor area than a winery. Wine was fine and food was good, from the connecting restaurant Sorrento's. Per the bride and groom, the chef is from Italy and the food authentic...I would disagree with Costco food, although I don't have anything against Costco food. This is a really nice venue in Chelan. It's on the southside of the lake sort of up from the lake, and it affords some really great views....what am I saying? All the views of the lake are beautiful! Made it here for the annual Paperboys concert here over the summer. Some friends and I grabbed a bottle (or two) and nabbed a patch of grass near the band and just chilled to the music, scenery, and wine. Due to too many glasses of vino, I only remember the first half of the show. I can't confirm it, but I heard rumors of me breakdancing on the grass among the kids, and then grabbing a mic and rhyming....but I think these were just words of legend and rumor. Either way, this is a nice venue for music or a glass. read more

So I was a recent white wine club member through Tsillan Cellars! I'm pretty good at reading all the fine print before joining anything! Without dragging this review along , I'm just gonna get to the point ! My debit card was charged $129 dollars without my authorization, so after viewing my bank statement and talking to a bank representative I immediately called Tsillan cellars and left a message for a gentleman stating he will have someone call me about the matter , a lady name Cassie called me back and explained to me they do this every year , so I kindly asked her to email me some literature where it says it's ok to just charge someone's card (and even funnier pick the wine of their liking for me without me picking what I want ) anyways she didn't send any literature on the fact it's ok to charge peoples card just for the hell of it and I also asked Cassie to send me a confirmation email stating that I would like to discontinue my membership, twice I left a phone message and unprofessionally I didn't receive either emails I requested or phone call back ! I love wine but I despise bad business ! How this company went about things is very distasteful and I won't do business again with Tsillan! Being a thief is not a good look on a company ! read more

This place is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Like so pretty I'm making a mental note to have my wedding here. Easily the most visually appealing winery I've ever been to, and the second we drove up the gated vineyard-lined drive, I knew we were in for a treat. We initially went in for lunch at Sorrento's, but once we saw the spot, we thought it would be more special to come here for our anniversary dinner that evening. So we decided to kick off the day with a tasting with Preston. Preston was very knowledgable, friendly, and a delight to chat with. I enjoyed the wines (though I admit some of the other ones I had later in the day were a bit better than the ones I had here) and loved that they gave you such big pours! We had about two glasses of wine before leaving to finally go find lunch somewhere before continuing our tour. They have a nice little gift shop area, which was fun to poke around in. When we returned for dinner later that night, we popped in to tell Preston that we enjoyed his other recommendations of wineries in the area. Even though they were closing up shop, he chatted with us for awhile and even gave us a free glass of wine while we waited for our table! He said we were free to roam around the property while we waited, and we even got to check out the exclusive wine members lounge area up top. Visiting here made for a really special day, and our dinner was delicious..don't miss Sorrento's for a romantic lunch or dinner! read more

I was here for a wedding, not wine tasting so my review is based on solely the wedding event. This place is gorgeous. It's a Tuscan style winery situated on the hill overlooking the lake. How can you go wrong with that? The wedding I went to was relatively small, I'd say 40 people. So, it definitely didn't seem crowded. But, if this was a larger group, say 200, then I would definitely think you may want to search out other spots. The food was good. I'm not sure what some people had when they said the food reminded them of Costco, but our food was actually better than most wedding buffets I've been to and I've been to a lot in the last 5 years since all my friends are dropping like flies. The food style is Italian to go with the whole Tuscan theme. It's not 5 star, but at least 4 star for wedding buffet food. They have a cool koi pond that is basically a large circle. Apologies to the management for my friends that were trying to grab the fish towards the end of the night. None were harmed. The wine we had was good too, I think. I'm not quite a wine connoisseur, so I can't say with certainty. It did do the job though. read more

This is a beautiful place. Absolutely gorgeous. My first time to Chelan was entirely enhanced by this experience. We were on our way for me to meet the parents... my boyfriend grew up in Chelan. After a semi-long drive, the BF pulled into this winery. We went in, and it has a huge foyer with mile-high ceilings and decadent bathrooms (thanks be to seat covers). We tasted a couple wines (my first time!) and bought a bottle. Then he headed into the lawn area, plopped down in the grass and enjoyed the view. It was romantic, it was relaxing, it was BEAUTIFULLY GORGEOUS, and I want to go back soooo badly. Plus, we bought a bottle of wine for the folks- what a good impression I made. :) read more

Of the 4 wineries we visited in the Chelan/Manson this by far was my favorite. The tasting room is beautiful and made me feel like I was in Italy. The view of lake Chelan is spectacular. When we approached the tasting bar the hostess greeted us and explained the process. Once the pour began she began to tell us about the owner and then herself and how she got involved with the winery. She established a relationship with us. We had a choice of 5 wines for $10. Hard to choose a favorite because they were all wonderful. The customer services and the wine was fantastic. A must visit! read more

When I have been tasting in Chelan I have always avoided this place because it is a bigger, more well known winery in the area and figured it would be pretty busy. This time we were lucky that it was open apparently since not many are after Christmas. Which was nice since we were one of 3 parties in here. I thought there wine was pretty good and we left with a bottle of the Sinistra and Rossa. The grounds are really pretty and we have heard wonderful things about the restaurant. The staff guy working was really nice and friendly. He even helped educate us on which wineries were open that day too. read more

We came here this last Saturday. The winery is beautiful, that's the only positive about this Winery. They DO NOT FOLLOW COVID19 rules. There was absolutely ZERO distancing between tables and they did not care how many people at a table. We did a tasting flight and all they did was pour the wines. They did not take the time to tell us about the wines. The wine was not that great. As people left Tsillan Cellars DID NOT sanitize the tables. We never saw one person clean in between customers. I would NOT recommend this winery. read more
