I went to this practice after a family member recommended it. The initial evaluation and cleaning were good. However, the fillings were not. I had four fillings performed -- two front and two back -- and each of them had issues. One of the fillings on my front right side popped off a few weeks later, and when she fixed it, a chunk came out later that day while flossing. She never checked the contacts before I left, which left me with a broken filling and a gap that constantly trapped food. One of the back left fillings wasn't sealed properly and started to really hurt. When she redid it, the filling on the next tooth broke off and left a ledge. I never had a problem with that tooth before, but it eventually started to smell terrible when I flossed, and the floss kept breaking on the ledge. The dentist who fixed it confirmed that bacteria had gotten into the broken filling, causing the odor. The other fillings also caused the floss to tear and made flossing really unpleasant. I went back multiple times trying to resolve this and even brought my own dental materials since nothing was working. They never used them because of protocol, which I understand. When I asked the other attending dentist for a second opinion, I was told verbally that this was the best they could do and that I should just live with it. This conversation was never documented in my patient notes, as I later confirmed with the office manager. I ended up going to another dentist who fixed everything, but it cost me $1,200 out of pocket. The dentist who corrected the work told me directly that the filling material used was very cheap, that the work was substandard, and that I was ultimately taken advantage of. When I contacted the practice to resolve this privately, I was told it was my choice to seek care elsewhere, and that was the end of it. I'm very disappointed with the quality of work at Night and Day Dental and the way my concerns were dismissed at every turn. I would not recommend them to anyone who wants to take care of their teeth.

It's been two years since my son and I first walked into Crystal smile…read more At that time, My son's up-front teeth got chipped in a game and the recommended treatment plan was very complicated and painful (by our former dentist) --the leftover need a extraction--then root canal treatment--plant a temporary fake teeth--a permanent one could be installed once he reached his age of 25. We were looking at almost 10years treatment plan and countless appointments between different clinics. At that point, I learned many dentists only focus on a small area, so in order to get all the treatments my son need, it seems we would have to bounce back and forth between different clinics. Not to mention the most painful thing was that my son was going to lose one of the teeth and I couldn't image how it was going to affect his life. Although I already setup evaluation appointments with a doctor performing extraction and a doctor performing root canal treatment, respectively. Right before we went on that road, I decided to bring my son to Crystal smile and give his chipped teeth another shot. Dr. Zhou is very knowledgeable, she came up with a creative plan and saved my son's up-front chipped teeth. In the past two years, she used orthodontic correction skill to pull the chipped teeth out a little, now it provided enough space or base structure to hold a crown! IT WORKED! My son don't need to go through the extraction process. We greatly appreciate Dr. Zhou and her crew. They are all super knowledgeable and professional! Highly recommend you coming here for any of your dentist needs.

My daughter was a patient here for several years. I will preface this review by saying my daughter…read moregot along well with each of the dentists she saw over the years and they seemed to have good rapport with her. I have no doubt that the cleanings she received were good. Hence, 3 stars instead of 1. I held off on writing this review, but my daughter has seen multiple dentists now and I feel it might help other patients. We had a billing error after our first visit as they'd submitted the wrong code to our insurance and then tried billing us directly over and over for a cleaning, which was covered by our insurance. I wasted hours of my time on the phone with both Riccobene and our insurance. I even had a 3-way call with our insurance company and Riccobene to get it settled. I'd been told the issue had been fixed, but I kept receiving bills in the mail. It was extremely frustrating, but it was a mistake- which happens sometimes- so we stayed with the office. I started getting rubbed the wrong way by Riccobene during 2020 with the up-charge for PPE during the pandemic, which by comparison to other dentists, was well in excess of what other offices in the area were charging (as discovered in a discussion on NextDoor). It was annoying, but maybe just a sign of the times, and that wasn't enough to deter me from the office even after the billing error, so we stayed a few more years. Perhaps this started to generally sway my perception of the office as a money-grab, though. It was at my daughter's final visit that I really started to question the practice. After my daughter had been seen, I was told that she had some cavities. As a late teen, she'd never had a single cavity before, but I didn't necessarily doubt the possibility of a cavity or two. We would have been paying out of pocket for the fillings, which according to their invoice, would have been just shy of $700 (all out of pocket expense since it was not covered by our insurance). They were fully aware of this because they stated that our insurance wouldn't be covering it and the expense would be out of pocket. It was when we checked out after the appointment that things started feeling off and I got an uneasy feeling. It felt a whole lot like we just walked into a used car sales lot with an aggressive sales team that was really pushing us to schedule the fillings immediately. It gave me such a bad feeling that I decided to hold off on scheduling the fillings. Instead, I went with my gut and I got a second opinion at a different dental office. My daughter has been seen at two different dentist offices since then and she's been seen every 6 months. One visit was the same week we'd been seen at Riccobene. I've never heard of cavities magically disappearing, especially within a few days, but according to the other offices, she did not have any cavities then and she still does not have any cavities. I left the office after that last visit with Riccobene feeling like they were aggressively trying to charge us out of pocket to fill cavities that perhaps didn't even exist. After being seen elsewhere, I feel it more strongly about it. I'm very glad I didn't schedule the fillings on the spot or pay the ~$700 out of pocket while being pressured to do so. Perhaps it was an accidental misdiagnosis (per cavity), but if you're paying out of pocket and things don't feel right, I'd suggest asking for solid proof of the issues or getting a second opinion elsewhere before moving forward. I'm glad I did.

Unfortunately, I overpaid for a service 8 months ago and am owed $500. Riccobene refuses to respond to refund requests by email and phone messages. New in town, hard to know how to choose the right dentist…read more When I called Triangle Family Dentistry on Carpenter Fire Station Road, I spoke to a gentleman who was so assuring that Dr. Smith would be a great match with my particular needs. So first visit Ashley was awesome with my periodontal cleaning ( I get those 4x per year) She was gentle, knowledgeable, kind, professional and efficient! I met my dentist, Matt and asked about a couple crowns. He assured he could do it and today he did, with the assistance of Mia! I believe it was the smoothest crown work I've ever had. I never even felt a needle go in for the numbing. I had a particularly difficult kind of old crown to take off but he was completely confident and I felt very comfortable the whole time. Ashley, Mia, and Matt were very attentive to my neck problems and made sure I was comfortable through both those procedures. The facility itself is just gorgeous. There is a grand of coffee in the lobby. Plus water. Lobby comfy, roomy, and well furnished. Receptionists, check out staff, everyone professional and kind. I am thrilled to have found my dental care providers! Parking is at a premium, but a few more yards to walk is not a big deal!

The first dentist I saw said I have a filling that needed to be replaced. I got that done, and everything was ok, except it was difficult to floss with the new filling. The next time I started having sharp pains in a tooth, and pointed to the tooth I thought was causing the issue. This dentist said no, it was the tooth behind it that needed a filling. My pain did not go away at all after that filling, and they came up with a list of future procedures that they said I needed to get done. I decided I did not want to go back. I found a new dentist that is covered by my insurance. I went in today for my first appointment, and the dentist showed me a picture of a crack in the tooth that I had originally pointed out at Triangle Family Dentistry and didn't mention anything else I needed to get done. I really feel that TFD was trying to set me up for spending money on procedures that I didn't need, and didn't take care of the issue that I did have, that I pointed out to them.

Everyone is professional, compassionate, and genuinely welcoming, creating an environment that immediately puts you at ease. What stands out most is Dr. Lowery's dedication to her patients. On two separate occasions when I experienced dental issues over a weekend, she responded right away--even while attending a funeral out of town and, another time, while at a graduation ceremony. She never hesitated to reach out and help me address my concerns. Her office consistently follows up promptly, and I have always been able to be seen in a timely manner. On one occasion when she was away, she was even prepared to contact a colleague to arrange an emergency visit for me. Fortunately, I didn't end up needing it, but knowing she was willing to go to those lengths meant so much. Exceptional care, outstanding customer service, and a team that truly cares about their patients. I cannot recommend Dr. Lowery and her staff highly enough!!! They don't have a lot of bells and whistles, like TVs hanging from the ceiling or raffle baskets for promoting him on social media, but their professional competent available and organized. And I always dig their music playlist. Everyone there is incredibly professional and I've always had good luck being put on a waitlist for a different appointment if I have to reschedule. And when they asked the dreaded question about how often I floss, I never feel judged by my response. Nothing but positive reinforcement there. ;-) But the secret sauce of that place is really with Dr. Patel. He has a very calming presence about him, from his voice, to his smile, and the amount of time he takes to explain and listen to the patient. He never suggests unnecessary treatments, and I trust him implicitly. We've moved 30 minutes from him in the last few years and I finally switched to a dentist 5 minutes from me just this year. Part of me regrets it, but with two kids appointments to juggle with my own and work, convenience is worth a lot for me right now. My husband refuses to leave Dr. Patel, regardless of the added commute from work and home, but I did just recommend my dad to him as well because I trust him and his team so much.
