They don't have a lot of bells and whistles, like TVs hanging from the ceiling or raffle baskets for promoting him on social media, but their professional competent available and organized. And I always dig their music playlist. Everyone there is incredibly professional and I've always had good luck being put on a waitlist for a different appointment if I have to reschedule. And when they asked the dreaded question about how often I floss, I never feel judged by my response. Nothing but positive reinforcement there. ;-) But the secret sauce of that place is really with Dr. Patel. He has a very calming presence about him, from his voice, to his smile, and the amount of time he takes to explain and listen to the patient. He never suggests unnecessary treatments, and I trust him implicitly. We've moved 30 minutes from him in the last few years and I finally switched to a dentist 5 minutes from me just this year. Part of me regrets it, but with two kids appointments to juggle with my own and work, convenience is worth a lot for me right now. My husband refuses to leave Dr. Patel, regardless of the added commute from work and home, but I did just recommend my dad to him as well because I trust him and his team so much. If I ever have something more complicated than a cleaning, I'll probably wind up back there for a second opinion. Big fan!

My first cleaning appointment was last week, and they were so kind to me and considerate of the fact that I'm 35 weeks pregnant. Normally they need OB clearance to do x-rays but they said it was no big deal that I didn't have that; we can just wait until the next checkup to do those since I'm due so soon. They also made sure to not lean the chair back to be too flat, which made it more comfortable for me. The receptionists were also very kind and polite, something I'm not used to anymore after living in the New England area for about 7 years. I'll make sure my husband switches over to Lane & Associates as well since I had such a great experience!

My appointment was with Dr. Howard and what a super nice and gentle dentist he is. Dr. Howard made me feel so welcome and he was so easy to talk to and didn't make me feel nervous a bit; and I'm usually very nervous going to the dentist. The entire staff were so friendly which is hard to come by these days. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Howard, you won't be sorry and you won't mind going to the dentist anymore!

There are some good office staff also. I went to Royal Oak Dental yesterday to have a temporary crown removed and a new crown put in place. The person that was to remove the temp crown started working on me but it was painful and I didn't know what to expect . This person was tugging at pullng the temp crown off pulled back with the instrument she was using and cut my lip she was not aware she did that until she saw the blood. I didn't have trust in her after that. Treat a patient like a person not a machine. I eventually had a numbing agent . Dr Smith is very clever and I believe he is good at what he does. He finally came along and gave me a perfunctory one liner that could infer I was responsible for this injury. He did what he had to do with the crown and stated he would come back when I had numerous xrays. Dr Smith never came back he must have got too busy.

New in town, hard to know how to choose the right dentist…read more When I called Triangle Family Dentistry on Carpenter Fire Station Road, I spoke to a gentleman who was so assuring that Dr. Smith would be a great match with my particular needs. So first visit Ashley was awesome with my periodontal cleaning ( I get those 4x per year) She was gentle, knowledgeable, kind, professional and efficient! I met my dentist, Matt and asked about a couple crowns. He assured he could do it and today he did, with the assistance of Mia! I believe it was the smoothest crown work I've ever had. I never even felt a needle go in for the numbing. I had a particularly difficult kind of old crown to take off but he was completely confident and I felt very comfortable the whole time. Ashley, Mia, and Matt were very attentive to my neck problems and made sure I was comfortable through both those procedures. The facility itself is just gorgeous. There is a grand of coffee in the lobby. Plus water. Lobby comfy, roomy, and well furnished. Receptionists, check out staff, everyone professional and kind. I am thrilled to have found my dental care providers! Parking is at a premium, but a few more yards to walk is not a big deal!

The first dentist I saw said I have a filling that needed to be replaced. I got that done, and everything was ok, except it was difficult to floss with the new filling. The next time I started having sharp pains in a tooth, and pointed to the tooth I thought was causing the issue. This dentist said no, it was the tooth behind it that needed a filling. My pain did not go away at all after that filling, and they came up with a list of future procedures that they said I needed to get done. I decided I did not want to go back. I found a new dentist that is covered by my insurance. I went in today for my first appointment, and the dentist showed me a picture of a crack in the tooth that I had originally pointed out at Triangle Family Dentistry and didn't mention anything else I needed to get done. I really feel that TFD was trying to set me up for spending money on procedures that I didn't need, and didn't take care of the issue that I did have, that I pointed out to them.
