After much research online, I…read morefound Bass & Watson Family Dental--reading how many patients had such good experiences as described in their reviews. My primary concern was that the practice have pleasant and professional dentists and staff and that they be current on all dental-related technology. Having moved from Florida in April, I felt a little spoiled with the dentist I had seen for more than 15 years. I was not disappointed with my visit to Bass & Watson and feel like I have found the dental practice I hoped for. All front desk staff were friendly, professional, and helpful--greeting me with a smile and welcoming words. Allison brought me back to the treatment area--ensuring that I was fully informed about how the visit would proceed, the time it would take, describing everything she was doing, and making extra efforts to make me comfortable along the way. She is a gem. Upon meeting Dr. Watson, I was relieved because it was obvious he was detail oriented, professional, and experienced--and he also had a terrific chair-side manner. I'm no stranger to the dentist office after having a lot of work done on my teeth over the past 3 decades, so I know what feels right in a dental office environment and what doesn't. After this first visit, I'm totally glad that I chose this practice for my dental care. Thank you to all of the people at Bass & Watson who I met and interacted with today.

The front desk team was extremely kind and knowledgeable. They were patient with me while I asked questions and recommended Dr. Bass based on my needs. When I went in for my consultation, Dr. Bass listened to all my concerns and answered any questions I had. He also provided me a treatment plan that worked best for my wallet. When I started the treatment plan, he allowed me to schedule when it was best for me, explained step by step expectations, allowed me to choose something to watch on the TV. He also provided me a neck pillow as I suffered from a car accident. He would take breaks as I needed and allowed me to hold onto a tool (suction tool) to allow my to use it when I needed and this helped me feel I was in control. The treatment was quick, painless, and my teeth look beautiful. This place is absolutely amazing. Everyone on staff is talented and kind. Dr. Bass put my mind and anxiety at ease. I LOVE going to the dentist now! Thank you Bass and Watson family !!!

BEWARE!!! BEWARE !!!!! BEWARE !!!!!!…read more I have had 2 separate incidents with this office and it has cost me over $5000. I asked about a night guard for TMJ and they told me they could make it - a gal questioned the wires in the guard and the gal with her said the lab would figure it out. The guard came back with no wires and they didn't return the old guard. My insurance would only pay for 1 guard in a 12 month period. So it cost $4000 to get the correct guard made as the TMJ issues were returning and I had severe pain in my jaw. In December I had an exam and was told I needed 2 crowns. I told them I wanted to wait until January because I was changing insurance. THE DENTIST AND THE HYGENIST TOLD ME I SHOULD DO IT NOW - IN DECEMBER- BECAUSE THERE MIGHT BE A WAITING PERIOD WITH THE NEW INSURANCE. I went back December 30th and paid the balance in full. I went back for the final crowns in January. They billed my "old insurance" in January and the claim was denied. Now I am being billed over $1600. Angela, the office manager, told me that there are notes in the file that said to keep the "old insurance" until the crowns were delivered. THAT IS FALSE!!!! I was told to get everything done on the old insurance. But now it is my fault because I should have known that they would have to bill my insurance for the permanent crowns. But isn't it nice that they will settle with me if I pay $1000 instead of the $1600 that was not paid by insurance. THEY ARE DOING ME A BIG FAVOR BY TRYING TO REDUCE THE BILL. Interesting - if your office is not in error due to the false note in my file - why are you offering me a "DEAL". BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE This office does everything to get MONEY !!!!! I would give a -10 if the rating was available.

However, the front desk lady and the doctor, Sabine Schtakleff could have been more representative of excellent customer service. Here is the story - my wife had a tooth pulled by this doctor over a year and a half ago. She needed a filling for one of her teeth and scheduled an appointment with this doctor's office. She shows up, checks in, and has the procedure; when checking out with the same front desk clerk, she pays the 500$ and then is introduced to a unique yearly program called the 2023 Prime Membership plan. You pay an annual fee, and you get the services mentioned - it's a great idea! It also provides 10% off of procedures not part of the plan. But wait, you just charged us 500$. Could we have used this on that procedure?NOPE. Sorry, I told you about this program after your procedure the same day, and second, you charged me 500.00. So what are we talking about, 50$, right? Okay, so we went in for cleaning three days after the filling, and I spoke to the front desk clerk. I inquired how come, my wife, was not presented with this program when she checked in three days ago? She said someone had made a mistake! - Ahh.. wait a minute, you are the person that checked her in - so it was you who made a mistake. So no issue yet, I figured I would l talk to the dentist, and clearly, the front clerk warned her about this situation. She was very defensive and continued to talk in circles about,"Oh, we don't go back and correct bills from the past ", But wait, this was the exact second after I was charged. This sound like a horrible business practice. I finally had to stop her from circling around and around. She was under the impression that we just got this paper advertisement today and not three days ago. I get it. If it was after she left the office and a month later was introduced to this plan, then of course! But that is not the situation. What should have happened three days earlier was this - "Hey, you know we have this new program, and if you sign up today, we can give you 10% off today's procedure and future procedures. So you should consider it since you do not have insurance." So I finally say, you won't credit me 50.00 and run the risk of losing a customer. YEP! she started with the circle BS, and I finally said to my wife - okay, what do you want to do. So she got out of the chair, and we walked out, taking our paperwork. Now here is the business thing! All she had to do was say - oh, okay, I didn't realize you were not offered this when you checked in. I would be happy to credit you the 50.00, and we can be a long-lasting relationship. But NO! So sad to see professionals need more business sense regarding customer satisfaction. The big kicker is that when talking to the hygienist, we discussed the possibilities of two implants, and I know those are about 5K each. Your loss, intelligent business person! Good Job!

The initial exam was extremely brief, with no clear explanation, no X-rays shown, and no introductions -- we didn't know who was the dentist or assistant. During the deep cleaning, a hygienist/assistant administered anesthesia and did the entire procedure without the dentist present or supervising. The dentist only appeared afterward, did not introduce herself, and gave no post-procedure guidance. I had to ask basic questions about care and eating afterward. Later, we were told additional fillings were required, which were never mentioned during the visit. Billing seemed excessive. When we raised concerns, the dentist adamantly insisted everything was done correctly, dismissed our questions, and offered no apology or acknowledgment. The receptionist was also unprofessional and dismissive when asked about billing. The clinic later refused to continue care rather than address the issues. Overall, this experience demonstrated arrogance, lack of transparency, and disregard for patient communication and rights.

Definitely 5 stars for overall rating and very please with service after a few years updated Oct…read more2016: ****************************************************************************************************** Dr Kazmer came highly recommended to me by my Dentist. I have actually seen Dr K on separate issues and I apologize for this delayed review and hope that it will help. First time I saw him was as a 2nd time orthodontia patient and I was having a sensitivity issue on a molar. Dr K worked with both my Orthodontist and Dentist and we were able to come up with a remedy to remove band from molar and use bracket. The cost was $85. Also, my Dentist was able to place a composite on top near my gum line and that really helped minimize any tooth sensitivity. Fast forward a few years later and no more braces, my second visit still an $85 consult charge I recall as needed an evaluation for some soft tissue grafts. It sounded scary, painful and expensive. I cannot even imagine having this done but did not have a choice. Since I needed grafts on upper tooth from prior issue and the lower area, I did contemplate doing this at different intervals. However, after thought about having something not very comfortable done and discussing with Dr K that he could do both areas on same day -- this is what we did! The bigger concern besides pain (not going to lie about that) was having enough donor tissue to do these grafts. Dr K personally called me prior to booking this surgery as he needed to discuss a medical issue that I have with my Specialist. 5 stars for his professionalism and follow up and no doubt making a decision and burdening an expense like this is a daunting task. I will say, the office staff had to file my Pre-authorization twice since I was having surgery the beginning of the following year. I knew it would be approved but denied since no $ left in dental plan/network. As promised, I called them beginning of January and they resubmitted pre-treatment estimate and authorization was received. Technically, it is the Patient's responsibility to follow up on this stuff not his office staff. The only issue I had was the deposit $100 to book the appt. I knew I would use my flex spending and wanted to make sure this was not going to be an issue to be properly reimbursed and it was not. I chose to be awake during the surgery and Dr K & technician made sure I was comfortable as can be. I am glad I ate breakfast beforehand. I did have bleeding just as he informed me, along with some swelling, and bruising. Again, all as Dr K mentioned. Eating shaved ice, ice cream, anything super cold first day really does take the swelling down. Luckily, I used my retainer and they trimmed it for me to fit like glove and did not need a shunt. I did have trouble taking pain medication as I could not really open mouth with retainer in. Luckily, be prepared I was able to email & technician emailed me back with more tips and words of encouragement. Also after surgery, Dr K gives you his cell #, home #, etc. Fantastic. I had surgery on a Thurs and Friday their office is closed but Dr K called me that day to follow up and see how I was going after my surgery. My experience as best as can be for something like this was 'TOP NOTCH'. I highly recommend Dr K as he is very experienced with all state-of-the art and keeping patients at ease. He may not be the cheapest but do you want cheap, or quality performance? Other medical staff have looked at my grafts and were very impressed and hopefully they will last me a lifetime! You decide, but this is the doctor I highly recommend for oral surgery. I have never had a bad experience with any of his staff even calling for an appt or follow up after surgery when I had a small issue that was easily fixed in the chair in less than 5 minutes.

Today at Kazmer Dental Clinic, we finally experienced firsthand the abysmal service attitude and…read morequality of both the front desk staff and the manager. We arrived on time to check in at the front desk; however, due to a minor dispute regarding insurance coverage and payment installments, the receptionist consulted the manager and asked us to wait a few minutes. We ended up waiting a full half-hour before the manager finally appeared to speak with us. Throughout the entire interaction, she maintained a cold and frosty demeanor; none of the requests or questions we raised were properly addressed or clearly explained. Ultimately, she issued an ultimatum: since it was too late in the day, we would have to reschedule for a different time if we still wanted to proceed with the treatment. When we inquired with the hygienist, we were told the earliest available appointment was a month and a half away--at which point the manager coldly asked if we wished to accept that slot. This was particularly frustrating because we had visited the clinic just a week prior, had already undergone X-rays, and had even taken the prescribed pre-treatment antibiotics. Yet, due to this manager's stalling tactics, we were unable to receive our treatment today. Outraged by this turn of events, we decided to cancel all future dental appointments at this clinic. We are left wondering: was this a case of racial discrimination because of our Asian appearance? In any case, today at this dental clinic--Kazmer Periodontics & Implant Dentistry--we endured the worst experience and the most distressing ordeal imaginable!
