My daughter was a patient here for several years. I will preface this review by saying my daughter…read moregot along well with each of the dentists she saw over the years and they seemed to have good rapport with her. I have no doubt that the cleanings she received were good. Hence, 3 stars instead of 1. I held off on writing this review, but my daughter has seen multiple dentists now and I feel it might help other patients. We had a billing error after our first visit as they'd submitted the wrong code to our insurance and then tried billing us directly over and over for a cleaning, which was covered by our insurance. I wasted hours of my time on the phone with both Riccobene and our insurance. I even had a 3-way call with our insurance company and Riccobene to get it settled. I'd been told the issue had been fixed, but I kept receiving bills in the mail. It was extremely frustrating, but it was a mistake- which happens sometimes- so we stayed with the office. I started getting rubbed the wrong way by Riccobene during 2020 with the up-charge for PPE during the pandemic, which by comparison to other dentists, was well in excess of what other offices in the area were charging (as discovered in a discussion on NextDoor). It was annoying, but maybe just a sign of the times, and that wasn't enough to deter me from the office even after the billing error, so we stayed a few more years. Perhaps this started to generally sway my perception of the office as a money-grab, though. It was at my daughter's final visit that I really started to question the practice. After my daughter had been seen, I was told that she had some cavities. As a late teen, she'd never had a single cavity before, but I didn't necessarily doubt the possibility of a cavity or two. We would have been paying out of pocket for the fillings, which according to their invoice, would have been just shy of $700 (all out of pocket expense since it was not covered by our insurance). They were fully aware of this because they stated that our insurance wouldn't be covering it and the expense would be out of pocket. It was when we checked out after the appointment that things started feeling off and I got an uneasy feeling. It felt a whole lot like we just walked into a used car sales lot with an aggressive sales team that was really pushing us to schedule the fillings immediately. It gave me such a bad feeling that I decided to hold off on scheduling the fillings. Instead, I went with my gut and I got a second opinion at a different dental office. My daughter has been seen at two different dentist offices since then and she's been seen every 6 months. One visit was the same week we'd been seen at Riccobene. I've never heard of cavities magically disappearing, especially within a few days, but according to the other offices, she did not have any cavities then and she still does not have any cavities. I left the office after that last visit with Riccobene feeling like they were aggressively trying to charge us out of pocket to fill cavities that perhaps didn't even exist. After being seen elsewhere, I feel it more strongly about it. I'm very glad I didn't schedule the fillings on the spot or pay the ~$700 out of pocket while being pressured to do so. Perhaps it was an accidental misdiagnosis (per cavity), but if you're paying out of pocket and things don't feel right, I'd suggest asking for solid proof of the issues or getting a second opinion elsewhere before moving forward. I'm glad I did.

First of all, Riccobene required mounds of paperwork and then once an appointment was finally scheduled, they inundated me with texts, emails and phone calls about confirming my appointment which I did the first time. I had made it clear to the office that I only have x-rays every few years because of a past scare with thyroid cancer. When I arrived at my appointment, they told me that my x-rays of two years were too old and they would not be able to do anything, including cleaning my teeth without a whole new panel. It was very obvious to me that this practice is only concerned about making dollars. I absolutely do not recommend them.

New in town, hard to know how to choose the right dentist…read more When I called Triangle Family Dentistry on Carpenter Fire Station Road, I spoke to a gentleman who was so assuring that Dr. Smith would be a great match with my particular needs. So first visit Ashley was awesome with my periodontal cleaning ( I get those 4x per year) She was gentle, knowledgeable, kind, professional and efficient! I met my dentist, Matt and asked about a couple crowns. He assured he could do it and today he did, with the assistance of Mia! I believe it was the smoothest crown work I've ever had. I never even felt a needle go in for the numbing. I had a particularly difficult kind of old crown to take off but he was completely confident and I felt very comfortable the whole time. Ashley, Mia, and Matt were very attentive to my neck problems and made sure I was comfortable through both those procedures. The facility itself is just gorgeous. There is a grand of coffee in the lobby. Plus water. Lobby comfy, roomy, and well furnished. Receptionists, check out staff, everyone professional and kind. I am thrilled to have found my dental care providers! Parking is at a premium, but a few more yards to walk is not a big deal!

A terrible place. I contacted them suffering from acute tooth pain; they scheduled an appointment,…read morebut then ultimately tried--twice--to reschedule it for two weeks later. I simply cannot believe they would treat a patient in acute pain this way. The reception staff couldn't even offer a reasonable alternative time slot; they simply presented me with a *fait accompli*--that they couldn't see me. Consequently, I was forced to cancel the appointment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Definitely 5 stars for overall rating and very please with service after a few years updated Oct…read more2016: ****************************************************************************************************** Dr Kazmer came highly recommended to me by my Dentist. I have actually seen Dr K on separate issues and I apologize for this delayed review and hope that it will help. First time I saw him was as a 2nd time orthodontia patient and I was having a sensitivity issue on a molar. Dr K worked with both my Orthodontist and Dentist and we were able to come up with a remedy to remove band from molar and use bracket. The cost was $85. Also, my Dentist was able to place a composite on top near my gum line and that really helped minimize any tooth sensitivity. Fast forward a few years later and no more braces, my second visit still an $85 consult charge I recall as needed an evaluation for some soft tissue grafts. It sounded scary, painful and expensive. I cannot even imagine having this done but did not have a choice. Since I needed grafts on upper tooth from prior issue and the lower area, I did contemplate doing this at different intervals. However, after thought about having something not very comfortable done and discussing with Dr K that he could do both areas on same day -- this is what we did! The bigger concern besides pain (not going to lie about that) was having enough donor tissue to do these grafts. Dr K personally called me prior to booking this surgery as he needed to discuss a medical issue that I have with my Specialist. 5 stars for his professionalism and follow up and no doubt making a decision and burdening an expense like this is a daunting task. I will say, the office staff had to file my Pre-authorization twice since I was having surgery the beginning of the following year. I knew it would be approved but denied since no $ left in dental plan/network. As promised, I called them beginning of January and they resubmitted pre-treatment estimate and authorization was received. Technically, it is the Patient's responsibility to follow up on this stuff not his office staff. The only issue I had was the deposit $100 to book the appt. I knew I would use my flex spending and wanted to make sure this was not going to be an issue to be properly reimbursed and it was not. I chose to be awake during the surgery and Dr K & technician made sure I was comfortable as can be. I am glad I ate breakfast beforehand. I did have bleeding just as he informed me, along with some swelling, and bruising. Again, all as Dr K mentioned. Eating shaved ice, ice cream, anything super cold first day really does take the swelling down. Luckily, I used my retainer and they trimmed it for me to fit like glove and did not need a shunt. I did have trouble taking pain medication as I could not really open mouth with retainer in. Luckily, be prepared I was able to email & technician emailed me back with more tips and words of encouragement. Also after surgery, Dr K gives you his cell #, home #, etc. Fantastic. I had surgery on a Thurs and Friday their office is closed but Dr K called me that day to follow up and see how I was going after my surgery. My experience as best as can be for something like this was 'TOP NOTCH'. I highly recommend Dr K as he is very experienced with all state-of-the art and keeping patients at ease. He may not be the cheapest but do you want cheap, or quality performance? Other medical staff have looked at my grafts and were very impressed and hopefully they will last me a lifetime! You decide, but this is the doctor I highly recommend for oral surgery. I have never had a bad experience with any of his staff even calling for an appt or follow up after surgery when I had a small issue that was easily fixed in the chair in less than 5 minutes.

Today at Kazmer Dental Clinic, we finally experienced firsthand the abysmal service attitude and…read morequality of both the front desk staff and the manager. We arrived on time to check in at the front desk; however, due to a minor dispute regarding insurance coverage and payment installments, the receptionist consulted the manager and asked us to wait a few minutes. We ended up waiting a full half-hour before the manager finally appeared to speak with us. Throughout the entire interaction, she maintained a cold and frosty demeanor; none of the requests or questions we raised were properly addressed or clearly explained. Ultimately, she issued an ultimatum: since it was too late in the day, we would have to reschedule for a different time if we still wanted to proceed with the treatment. When we inquired with the hygienist, we were told the earliest available appointment was a month and a half away--at which point the manager coldly asked if we wished to accept that slot. This was particularly frustrating because we had visited the clinic just a week prior, had already undergone X-rays, and had even taken the prescribed pre-treatment antibiotics. Yet, due to this manager's stalling tactics, we were unable to receive our treatment today. Outraged by this turn of events, we decided to cancel all future dental appointments at this clinic. We are left wondering: was this a case of racial discrimination because of our Asian appearance? In any case, today at this dental clinic--Kazmer Periodontics & Implant Dentistry--we endured the worst experience and the most distressing ordeal imaginable!
