I like Dr. Lloyd because she is nice, competent, and does not try to upsell every possible service like my last dentist did.

Super friendly staff, Dr. Lloyd is a beautiful caring person, both inside and out. Her staff is attentive and always polite. Equipment, decor and furniture are new, clean and comfortable. They utilize an awesome appointment scheduling software that reminds you of appointments and I've always found it easy to reschedule when necessary. No waiting months to get in like some practices. I also like how we (our family of three) always see the same hygienist and Dr. Lloyd. Filing our dental insurance and using our flex medical spending account has always been seamless with the competent staff at checkout. Nice people. Purified water system. More flexibility on scheduling appointments. Billing from a higher end zip code is more likely to be covered at a higher % by insurance. Nearby location: ~5 minute drive from us, so it's not such an 'event' to go to the dentist. Front desk person is a seasoned pro. Schedule with her, even if asked to do so while you're prone in a dental chair without a calendar handy. We came here after our other dentist's office staff kept scheduling cleanings less than 6 months from each other, causing us unnecessary out of pocket expense. I was pretty tired the last time I was here and didn't want to chit chat, but they got me outta there in ~30 minutes with squeaky clean teeth and some exquisite complimentary organic vanilla chapstick that was like 'buttah.' NOTE: If the Visitor Parking spaces facing St. Mary's Street are full, drive all the way around and park on the left side of the building nearest the street. The practice is on the basement level, and though you must enter from the main foyer and take an elevator down, you may exit from the side door there and straight to your car. read more

My work location has changed so I needed to get a new dentist, to make things little easier on me. Ashley Lloyd's practice came strongly recommended by two people. Easy to schedule. Great start to the day. I was greeted nicely and taken back right away to begin an exam. Since this was my first visit, Jennifer did a great job asking questions and learning to get my dental history and preferences. She gave great feedback and tips to improve my personal dental care. Dr. Ashley Lloyd came in and introduced herself before she checked my mouth. They even fit me in to make good use of my time and gave a great price so I went ahead and had a custom mouth guard mold made too. I'm impressed with the options and services the practice presented. Having moved to Raleigh a year ago, I was a little behind on the routine dental checkups. I wasn't putting it off, but honestly, every time I asked someone if they liked their dentist, everyone replied with mixed reviews...why did no one in Raleigh love their dentist? Anyway, I turned to Yelp and found lloyds office was conveniently located and had rave reviews. Had my first visit today, and I have zero complaints with my new dentist, office staff, office and hygienist. The office is very nice. There is free wi fi, and a kids play room and work area. Reception was friendly and prompt. My hygienist was talkative and thorough. And dr Lloyd was very knowledgable and pleasant. Easy peasy. Dr. Lloyd and all the staff are everything you could ever ask for from a dentist office. They are professional and really good at what they do. They are friendly and treat you as if they have known you forever (even when I've only been in the office a few times). They are observant and are constantly making sure that you are okay and feeling well. I am a bit of a nervous patient and have rarely seen anyone who wasn't my childhood dentist. But we relocated to Raleigh this year, and one of my crowns started to be lose on Monday. I got an appointment with Dr Lloyd on Wednesday. It turned out that this crown and tooth really needed to be extracted, and it got a little complicated. But from the moment I walked in the door, the receptionist, Robin, and Dr. Lloyd put me at ease. They spent a lot of time with me, did the most amazing work, had wonderful recommendations, and it was the first time since I can't remember when that I didn't even think of needing laughing gas. The ladies in this office are incredible. I was having a devastating tooth ache and they were able to fit me in on a busy day and we so accommodating. I felt like everyone was really taking their time with me, which was so calming given that I was already a nervous wreck about the whole thing and was in a lot of pain. Instead of waiting out the long holiday weekend, Dr. Lloyd called around and was able to get me in to see another dentist that she recommended and trusts that afternoon for a last-minute root canal. I found this office in a panic and in pain, but we will be coming back regularly now for the rest of our dental care! read more
