Second thing is their treatment plan. I know my teeth are not perfect, but I've been living with them my whole life and know what problems with them are. They created a plan for treatment with an estimate of more than $15,000, they included everything which didn't even bother me, and they didn't even ask me can I afford such money. They didn't ask me to prioritize it, it seemed like they just insisted on what they came up with. This is what's called the opposite to customer oriented business. I decided to go get a second opinion from my original dentist back home who I trust dearly, and only had TWO. However, they did not even submit the claim to insurance for nearly 2 full months, despite multiple requests to do so. Once they finally submitted the claim (in April), my insurance asked several basic follow-up questions about the treatment so they could process the claim. It has now been another two months and Crabtree Valley Dental has still not provided that info, despite multiple letters from insurance. Over the phone, they keep assuring me they will take care of it but weeks go by with no action. It seems pretty clear now that because they received my money, they they have little interest is helping with my insurance claim. I previously had good experiences with CVD, but I do not recommend that anyone pay for any treatments up front with them. Make them submit to insurance first, because otherwise you may never see that money again.

During that process, I was also working on sleep apnea and failing CPAP. Apparently double-jaw surgery is a highly regarded although intense surgical option for sleep apnea if you're a candidate. Ended up pivoting that way and changed Invisalign to braces and Dr. Walton helped me find some great surgeons. It was a long process but I'm so grateful!! I'm 10+ weeks post-op and it's been incredible. Still have several months of braces but hopefully will be down with them this year!

Sometimes they don't even explain what they are doing as if I can read their minds or I don't need to know. I am not finished but am thrilled with the results so far and the payment plan is greatly appreciated.
