Falls Lake Dental is truly a great office. With modern technology they are able to get a much better picture of the work needed to be done. I also found they offer many plans to assist those without dental insurance. I do recommend their savings/discount service which is a monthly fee, but can not recommend Care Credit which I looked into upon a suggestion from office staff. The 4 times I've been here now I've had a first exam, two deep cleanings, and a filling fixed. Each time was very professionally taken care of and everything was explained before started so there was no sticker shock on prices. read more

Found this dentist after reading reviews here on Yelp. They had good reviews, a $100 new patient special, and were close to my home. I liked that I was able to get an appointment as quick as I wanted(couple of days out), they were able to forward forms to complete in advance, and they had a multipoint appt. reminder system. When I arrived I didn't wait long in the lobby...something like five minutes. There is coffee and water available in the lobby. As mentioned in another review Dr. Patel actually does the cleaning. I liked there is a monitor that can show pictures of my teeth and any issues. This is different than the xrays. Rather it's a color photo of the tooth. My old dentist didn't have this tool. I also went back for a follow up to have some cavities filled and my experience was positive then too. Well, as positive as that can be. read more

Dr Patel is an excellent dentist. I have been seeing him for a couple of years and appreciated his many innovations to make those dreaded dentist appointments less painful. At his suggestion I recently got six crowns on my front teeth, after numerous problems and lots of patching. It was traumatic of course, but he worked quickly and has a light touch, very helpful in dentistry. He also has empathy and was attentive to how I was feeling as the work progressed. Ii watched a Netflix show on the ceiling TV, a great distraction. The crowns are now in my mouth and he did a wonderful job fitting them. They feel great, like my own teeth only better. Everyone in the Falls Lake Dentist office is warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. They take time to get to know you and what your concerns might be. After your x-rays, they explain what you're looking at and the best course of action. Also, there's a tv above the chair so you can watch Netflix during your cleaning. I mean, cmon. Went here because they had a groupon, but so glad I did! Was seen quickly, was given the cleaning by the dentist, rather than a hygienist. Dr. Patel was personable and funny, offices are clean. Not condescending as other dentists are sometimes about the fact that I don't floss every day (although I do try to floss frequently). I am new to the Raleigh area (with no dental insurance) and was attracted to the $100 X-ray and cleaning special. There normal prices are very good also. I was shocked at how inviting the office was. Everything was sparkling clean and very up to date technology. Dr. Patel is very gentle and informing while cleaning and yes the actual dentist does the cleaning! Dr. Patel is funny and makes sure you are comfortable and feeling no pain during the procedure you. After having a cavity filled, he called me a couple hours later to follow up and make sure everything felt okay. This is now my dentist office for regular cleaning and maybe even a whitening in the future. read more

When I first began going, I was impressed with the short wait times and state of the art technology. Eventually, I needed more involved dental work done. Dr. Patel and his team seemed uneasy with my questions. When I asked for medication for my pain, like 800 mg. Ibuprofen tabs, Dr. Patel at first refused. After a few weeks and my pain increased (I had been in less pain when I first went to him) he finally prescribed me a narcotic. He asked me to let them know if the pain got better. It didn't, and I called to let him know that the ibuprofen I was taking worked better on my pain. He just wrote me a stronger narcotic. Then, when I was scheduled to have the procedure done, even confirmed the appointment through their texts, I found out the day before that they had decided to refer me to an oral surgeon and had given away my scheduled appointment time. I called the oral surgeons, but none were able to get me in the same week, and I was in constant pain. I insisted on Dr. Patel doing the procedure and told him that I would be willing to go to my GP for any follow up regarding pain. They agreed and I had the procedure done later that week. I still had to ask for Ibuprofen (which in high doses is cheaper through my insurance) and the staff did not schedule a follow up with me at all, not even to check on their own work or to make sure I was healing normally. I would not recommend Falls Lake Dental for anything besides a standard cleaning. read more

It has been the worst experience dealing with Jennifer the head of financial services at the dental office. They over charged me by $567. They billed my Delta Dental insurance for a crown that I never had done. and now it is over 6 months later, and I am still trying to get my money back which they charged. Be very careful at check out, they will take your money. Review your bill before paying. read more
