My wife and I like Dr. Bohn; he is very good and fit me in when I had a dental emergency. I was not a big fan of the other dentist in the practice. He is no longer there. The hygienist was friendly and professional. My major dissatisfaction is around miscommunication between the staff to us. We were told my insurance was accepted and then received a full bill for the amount of my wife's last visit. We appealed our bill and it was reduced by 50%. We have since established at another practice. I am very disappointed in how this was handled. The counter from the staff was that some people do not mind paying, I obviously do otherwise I would not carry dental coverage. I recently moved to the area and absolutely hate having to find a new dentist. After reading some reviews I decided to go with Dr. Bohn at Wake Dental Care. Both times I have visited I have received wonderful care! The office is nice, the hygienists are very friendly and knowledgable, and Dr. Bohn really seems to care about his patients and their outcomes. It is very evident that this office is not just focused on making money and that they love what they do! The second time I went I had to have a few fillings (which I always absolutely dread). Dr. Bohn and the hygienists really helped me relax and were very focused on making sure I was not having any pain at all. Dr Bohn is undoubtedly the most talented, honest and caring dentists I have had the pleasure of meeting and providing dental care for me and my wife. I had an infected tooth with a cap and root canal, Dr Bohn gave me an antibiotic and referred me to an endodontist who advised tooth removal. Dr Bohn removed the tooth and asked if I wanted him to try to re-implant the tooth after he repaired the tooth. I agreed and he offered to redirect the cost of this procedure if the tooth did not retake to the cost of n implant. How many medical professionals would offer to do that for you. read more

The office is immaculately clean, the staff is friendly and the appointment making/reminder system is light years beyond the "pre-write your address on a postcard that gets sent in 6 months" system that many places still rely on. They have a convenient location (I work up in RTP, so its right on my way up from Apex on 55 and minutes from 540 (Green Level West exit) The hygienists are very skilled and professional, with a friendliness that adds to the comfort level. Dr. Walker has excellent chair-side manner and seems very focused on detail, which is probably what you want your dentist to be! He did a great job with some small fillings - the local anesthesia was very adequate, and he was quite skillful while working in there - you can tell this isn't his first time at the filling rodeo. Insurance has been pretty seamless thus far - have Metlife through work and I haven't had any issues with it - the billing folks know the process and handle it. Would definitely recommend! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I do not like the dentist but Dr. Bohn and staff, from assistants, to hygienists, to the ladies at the desk for check in check out and billing are just awesome. They work as a well oiled machine. The are super cautious for Covid19 with processes, air purifier in each room, air from vents are blue light filtered and the place it treated nightly. My wife and I moved here from IL a month ago. As luck would have it, I needed a filling repaired within a week after we arrived in NC. After a bunch of research, I discovered Wake Dental Care in Cary. Their reviews are uniformly excellent online, and now I know why. They scheduled me in to see Dr. Allen quickly, and he has great skills. His chair-side manner is superb also. Every single person at this practice is warm and welcoming. Cady and Jeannine are great, and all the ladies at the front desk area (Karen and her colleagues) are all super-friendly, and nice. I have a phobia about getting dental work, and need a bit of extra support during any procedures I must have. Everyone on the clinical side at Wake Dental Care was very gentle and understanding, and provided me with some of the best dental care I've ever had. My wife is equally impressed with these folks. Visited Wake Dental Care experiencing tooth pain and was warmly greeted by the office staff. The offices were extremely clean and didn't smell like the normal dentist office. I was quickly taken back and assessed. Dr. Durusky came in and explained what I was experiencing and the treatment. The latest technology was in use all over the office. If I could give them a hundred stars I would. I'm very picky about dentist after growing up in my aunts capable hands. Needless to say after moving to NC it took me awhile to find someone I liked and I became neglectful to my teeth. The first few places I tried just didn't work out and I was starting to get into a bind because my kids needed to start seeing a dentist. We moved to the west side of cary and one day I happened to drive past Wake Dental Care, having nothing to lose except for my teeth at this point I checked that they were in network (MetLife dental) and made my first appointment for my kids. (They were my test subjects) They're first appointment went amazing, everyone was so helpful and nice even though my son didn't let the dentist near his mouth, (sorry Dr. Walker). But my daughter let them do everything so not a wasted appointment and because they were so awesome my sons second appointment went 100% better because he remembered no one forced him to do anything. Now it was my turn, the last dentist I had seen listed everything wrong with my mouth including the beginnings of periodontal disease to the tune of 5k out of pocket. Dr. Durusky was amazing, he really took the time to go over everything in my mouth and explained how he prefers the least invasive treatment forms. He was even willing to send his findings to my aunt for me to get her opinion, not necessary but appreciated. He even asked my opinion on what I felt was the priority spots. Also no sign of periodontal disease which was a huge relief. My first round of fillings took about two hours and he and his staff were amazing, my teeth came out amazing and I had never been more relaxed having my teeth drilled. And the best part my wallet isn't sobbing from an assault afterwards. This place should be on everyone's list whose looking for a new dentist. Just try them you won't be disappointed. read more

I always hated having to go to the dentist, but this is the best dental office I have been to. Not only does it look awesome inside (TV's every room) and very modern, the doctor's and assistants are extremely nice, helpful, and caring. I had my wisdom teeth extraction done here by Dr. Driskill and he explained the whole process to me and made sure to stop whenever I was uncomfortable or feeling pain - he also followed up with me after to make sure I was doing alright. In my old dentist, even if the appointment was at 11am, I would always be in the waiting room for at least 30 min, but at wake dental care, as soon as you arrive for your appointment, you don't have to wait for more than a minute. Wake Dental Care is by far the best dental office that I've ever been to. I normally see Diedre as my hygienist and she is always very gentle but thorough and great at giving tips. I have seen both Dr Bohn and Dr Driskil as my dentist, and both are top notch. Dr Bohn in particular is very humorous and keeps you extremely relaxed throughout your visit, even if it's to get a cavity filled. Whenever you have an xray done, they are very detailed in going over the images with you and never try to push unnecessary procedures. They remain very conservative and keep watches on spots that are small and may never get larger instead of just drilling away at anything. I highly recommend this place to everyone! read more

I couldn't be happier with Dr. Bohn and the Wake Dental staff. My family of five has been using this dental practice for two years now. Yesterday my twelve year old had to get a tooth pulled. I was very impressed with how much time Dr. Bohn spent talking with her. He extensively explained what he was going to do and what she should expect to experience. He really comforted her. A few month ago we changed insurance plans. We had some problems with the insurance company refusing to pay for a routine cleaning. Dr. Walker and his staff at Wake Dental Care are marvelous! They are very caring and sensitive. My 12 year-old daughter has a lot of anxiety regarding dental care. Dr. Walker and his staff were so nice and made sure she was very comfortable. She has much work do be done, but after her cleaning she is not so nervous about going back. I, also have much work to be done. I went in for a broken tooth and Dr. Walker kindly and gently explained that I would need a root canal. He took care of the broken tooth and started the root canal. He very funny and a true joy to be around. I am almost looking forward to going back for the rest of my dental work! His staff is quite impressive and fully explained all the work both my daughter and I need to be done. After trying two other dentists in the Cary area, I decided to listen to my fellow Yelpers and try WDC. Success! Finally :)) So pleased. I saw Dr. Driskill for a consult and then to fill a cavity. I'm so afraid of drills, but I was able to get nitrous oxide before my procedure, which really helped. The girl who assisted him was great, talking to me every step of the way to make sure that I was comfortable. The Dr. also explained everything he did, before he did it. I've been a patient of Dr. Bohn's for quite a while. He first took me on a near emergency basis as I'd not been to the dentist for several years after moving away from my old dentist. I have high anxiety being in the dental chair but Dr. Bohn was extremely patient and understanding. Even when need to stop the procedure for a moment, he was never once anything but kind and easy going. He explains what he's going to do before he does it, he gives options for procedures if necessary and explains the pros and cons of each option. The office is always ultra clean. After not having stepped foot in a dentist office for about 13 years due to financial situations when I was younger, I was finally able to receive dental aid. From the moment I called and spoke with the woman on the phone I was put at ease and told not to feel uncomfortable because there were so many other similar situations other patients went through as well. I went in, cried a little from being so worried about all the things I may have wrong (wisdom teeth, cavities, etc..) and my worries were out to rest. Dr. Bohn went over every single detail about teeth, the bone, nerve endings, decay and when and where that would show up, the x-Ray itself, and answered all my questions. I couldn't believe how honest, caring, and supportive he and every single staff member was. They made my entire visit easy and really took care of me by fitting me into an opening they had come available at last minute. I know we all hear the horro stories about dentists office and the children going in and coming out with teeth pulled or filed down, and I promise you that there is nothing to fear at all going here.
