IV sedation is the way to go. I closed my eyes and before I knew it I was finished and waking up. I'm recovering now with little discomfort. I can't thank them enough for their exceptional care.

Dr. Englehardt is somewhat reserved, but thorough. He is very experienced…read more Though I did not engage his partner Dr Van Berg, he seems much more talkative (not saying he is not skilled). Dr Englehardt did a good job excising a large wisdom tooth, in a delicate spot near sinuses, with no problems or side effects to report a week after the procedure. I had general, not local anesthesia. You will want to prepare for that decision and know what anesthesia and pain medicine you prefer. The one slight negative was on the day of the procedure, we had to go through that decision all that again. The combination of versed and propopil(?) worked well for me the 15 minutes I was "out"- virtually no down time recovering. I did not want fentanyl because of all the bad press about that. The staff was courteous and got the details right, except for the one encounter on day-of in the Garner office where they asked again about anesthesia, like nothing had been decided before. It took a lot of skill to get out a delicately placed wisdom tooth and Dr Engelhardt and his assistant seem to have done an *excellent* job.

My wife, Lenke (who is Hungarian), recently had four implants placed in Hungary. One came loose…read moresoon after we returned to the U.S., and her dentist back in Hungary assured us it was likely just a quick fix requiring a common 1.25 mm hex driver. Unfortunately, another local dentist (Triangle Family Dentist in Apex) told us it would be a long, expensive ordeal--potentially costing thousands--and actually suggested Lenke fly back to Hungary. Their dismissive attitude and lack of empathy made the whole situation feel demeaning, especially given Lenke's foreign background. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience. By contrast, Cary Implant was an absolute lifesaver. From the moment I called, Lauren at the front desk was incredibly friendly and compassionate. Dr. Jeff took an X-ray, confirmed they had the exact tools to tighten the implant, and fixed it in about 15 minutes. The total charge was just $50, saving us a ton of time, money, and stress. We were so grateful that we even donated $100 to their Christmas tree food drive on the spot. Cary Implant's honesty, professionalism, and genuine care for patients made all the difference. We have already booked two more appointments in February and couldn't be happier with their service. If you're looking for a dentist who will actually listen and do what's best for you, Cary Implant is the place to go. They've earned our trust--and our business--for life!

Nobody needs to come in and…read morehear christian mythology noise (as it is too unfortunate sounding to call real music) as punishment when they're already having dental work. So loud and so so bad it was almost comical, I couldn't even concentrate on paperwork or what the hygienist was trying to discuss with me. Front desk lady was extremely snobby and rude the entire time total nasty mean girl energy. I asked so are you all a christian business and she yelled YES WE ARE ACTUALLY!!! So passive aggressive and entirely unprofessional from the time I signed in to her going over my pricing at the end. Otherwise the dentist and hygienist themselves were wonderful. Sadly the MAGA music and her little Karoline Leavitt attitude (so typical for these poor misguided people, I could tell basic intelligence was just not her forte which must be hard for her in a medical office setting, thus her defensive demeanor) spoiled the entire appointment. Will not be returning. Given how her bizarre behavior contrasted so badly with the rest of the staff who were so nice and polite, I would highly encourage the owners to evaluate her position at this facility. Her personality is more fitting for an auto repair shop, not a dental office.
