Perhaps it's just the comparison to my previous dentist's office (in a dilapidated office park with no natural light), but RFD felt downright luxurious. The televisions at your chair are such a lovely touch and really help time fly during a cleaning. There are also wall-to-wall windows which is nice to have in a healthcare setting (they're covered with blinds, but still provide nice light). Both my hygienist and dentist were very kind, took their time with me, and made me feel welcomed. The dentist herself made sure my questions were addressed, talked to me about options for things, and was not pushy--as has been mentioned by other reviewers! But perhaps the best part is that I got an itemized list of pricing for future services at time of checkout. That is rare to find in healthcare and it helped me understand whether I could afford the recommended treatments. Pricing transparency in healthcare is desperately needed and I just wish everyone provided this service. I hope I can continue visiting RFD for years to come! I felt very appreciated and it was a great experience. I've been telling everyone I can to check them out!

When I lived in Charlotte my…read moredentist absolutely spoiled me rotten (Pearl Dentistry) with free in office whitening and state of the art equipment. I am 100% confident that this dentist office is the nicest and most professional in the RDU area. (I did hours of research) Here's Why, explained with a list of pros and cons: Pros: -YOU CAN SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT ONLINE. I scheduled a new patient appointment online, at 3:00AM with ease. Don't judge, these are the type of things I think about when I have insomnia. -The Office is both sterile & stunning. They are taking every precaution when it comes to COVID-19. This is extremely important considering the mouth is what spreads Covid. There is an air filter in every examination room that captures dental aerosols, and I think this is just awesome. It's modern and chic! You can tell that they care a great deal about their image. -The examination rooms have the latest and greatest state of the art equipment. It's obvious Dr. Russo spared no expense on tools, X-rays, camera's, and software. It brings you a sense of ease knowing you're getting the best of the best. -My dental hygienist (Courtney) was lovely. Skilled, sweet, and knowledgeable with a great bedside manner. I have a lower retainer from having braces and it's a pain to work around, but she made the whole process seem effortless and pain free. Also my teeth are shiny **Grins** CONS: -My teeth are not perfect, but I have been going to the dentist every 6 months since childhood, I use the most expensive toothbrush on the market and I floss regularly. My prior dentist has not suggested any additional dental work in 7ish years. During my last exam I was given the thumbs up and told that everything looked great. I am not questioning Dr. Russo's expertise as I am not a professional & he clearly is, but it's concerning that he is recommending TWO crowns on my back molars when there was no mention of this by prior dentist. This is a concern that other patients have shared in their reviews as well. I AM going to entertain his suggestion, but I'm not in a super hurry to schedule that appointment as I can tell it's not urgent. -I love that there's a giant tv hovering above me with NETFLIX, but you cannot hear it. Headphones would be awesome! And would also distract patients from the drilling. -The "goody bags" were a little sad. Just 1 toothpaste option, toothbrush, floss and cheap lip balm. This is definitely not a huge deal (again I'm spoiled). This place is very expensive and some customer appreciation would be really nice. Choosing this dental office is going to cost you a pretty penny, but you get what you pay for and it will be well worth the investment. I will be back!

Second thing is their treatment plan. I know my teeth are not perfect, but I've been living with them my whole life and know what problems with them are. They created a plan for treatment with an estimate of more than $15,000, they included everything which didn't even bother me, and they didn't even ask me can I afford such money. They didn't ask me to prioritize it, it seemed like they just insisted on what they came up with. This is what's called the opposite to customer oriented business.
