I was referred to Peak by my dentist after shadows showed at the roots of all four of my first molars. I was quoted nearly $700 for scans and a consultation because they wanted to perform a CBCT scan on all four teeth. One of those teeth had previously been treated by Advanced Endo, so I went there to confirm the treatment plan for that specific tooth first (as a follow up). While I was there, they offered to do the same CBCT scan for half the cost Peak quoted--and only needed to scan once for the entire mouth. I agreed, especially since Peak had told me over the phone that I could bring in the scan on a thumb drive for them to review. Advanced Endo also confirmed they use the same software and had previously received scans from Peak. When I finally had my consultation with Peak, they took the thumb drive to the back while I waited in the lobby. They came back and claimed they couldn't read the scan and said, "We'll have to redo it for $500." That didn't make sense--how could they not view the scan? And why was the price different from what I was originally quoted? Since I couldn't afford additional scans, I took my thumb drive and left. Out of curiosity, I did a quick Google search and was able to open and view the scans myself on a standard laptop--no special software needed. I called Peak to let them know, but the conversation went nowhere. I kept getting different explanations each time about why they couldn't use the scan. They eventually offered a "discount," but at that point I wasn't willing to pay anything more after being told I could use the original scan. I decided to take my business elsewhere and share my experience so others can make an informed decision. Advanced Endo and Ritter Endo are far superior to this office. I was referred here by a dentist who said this was their friend and did a good job. I had an abscess tooth that was not drained properly. I can tell something was off after the root canal was done. I came back three months later and they told me that they could not do much and that I would have to come back after a year for them to see what everything is looking like. I've had previous recalls before and I can tell when it is done properly usually by how the tooth is feeling afterwards. Three months later with pain when I initially went in for the pain, didn't make any sense. I paid a lot, and I was given some trouble at the front desk when I was being charged numbers that did not make sense and that were not presented to me prior. Overall, the quality was not there. Two years later and I'm still dealing with the infection that they were supposed to fix. read more

While the staff was wonderful, Dr. Rivera has too much ego wrapped up in his ability to deliver on promises. My dentist sent me to Peak Endodontics after a dental exam because it's tooth sensitivity and what look like might need a root canal. The staff was very responsive and friendly, the facility itself is very posh. Dr. Rivera reviewed my chart and told me that he could save my tooth. Wonderful! After three visits, I ended up having to have the tooth removed by my regular dentist. I don't know about the other endodontist at this office, but my experience with Dr. Rivera leaves me not recommending this office. read more

Dr Maresca was negligent to send me away without treatment on the 12th. Today she called to "apologize" & in the same breath tell me that two dr's were wrong about this being an emergency. My BP was 200/80 for weeks, rapid heart rate, shakes, dizziness/vertigo, trouble walking & sleeping, neck pain, severe headaches, ear pain, clammy, hot flashes, liver pain, chest pains, shoulder pain, left with an infection in my gums going into my sinus yet I wasn't in an emergency situation in her eyes. The dr's that actually helped me highly disagree. I am lucky I made it out alive. But I lost my tooth, 3 paid work days, my dignity, my faith in humanity, $$, and most importantly, I lost time with my toddlers. Front staff is awful & rude. read more

Professional and courteous. Seems to do the job well and efficiently. Insurance overpaid and they promptly refunded the difference into my checking account on my check card that I used when I went in there. Seriously there was no delay it was within a week or two of receiving service. So I would say honest and it's hard to say that every place would be that quick to be that honest with my hard earned money. read more

was referred here by my son's pediatrician to bring him in for a consultation on a tooth that was fractured a few months ago. We arrived 15 minutes early like we were told to fill out any necessary paperwork. I filled out the paperwork and then we sat and waited, finally after after about 25 minutes my son who is 9 was taken back for x rays. I couldn't even walk back with him, " we don't have a room ready for him you just have to wait here." So that's what myself and my other son did. When the x-rays were done only my son walked out, noone walked him out and we were informed of nothing else. After another 30 minutes or so we finally gor called back to a room where u was asked a few questions and so was my son and then another xray was taken. The gentlemen who did all of that left to go ask the doctor a question an noone returned for another 30 minutes. Finally a woman came in to ask how we were doing and by this point in time my children are impatient and so am I especially since we have been informed of nothing. I told her that it was just okay and asked how much longer it would be, she proceeded to ask me if I had another appointment somewhere. I told her I had to pick up my daughter at 4:00, it was currently now 4:00. She said they were super busy and that it could be another 10, 15, 20 etc minutes before we were assisted. I told her that it would be nice to be informed of these things especially if other things are taking longer. Especially since I made it to my appointment earlier, and then two other folks walked in because their dentist had called and the office "wasn't busy and had open availability" and I was just told the opposite. The woman walked away and a few minutes later came back with the doctor, Dr. Rivera, who procedes to say " Should we get him going?" I said that would be great. And he repeated himself more so sarcastically, and I then asked are we being kicked out of the practice? He said we'll it doesn't seem like you want to wait. I told him I've been waiting, I've been informed of nothing, there is no communication here whatsoever and it's uncalled for. He told me that I could leave then, so I said I would gladly take oue business elsewhere just refund my money and we will go. He still proceeds to block our way out and continue to talk, " well you don't want my expert opinion on your sons tooth?" Well not if he is going to ask this unprofessional especially since I really don't feel as though we were in the wrong when normally an office will at least inform you of some things and check in on you periodically. The Dr finally let's us out of the room, follows us up front to tell the lady working their to refund me and he is still going on about wanting to give me his expert advice on my son's tooth fracture, when I knew why I was there to begin with. I told him his commenting and going on and on was very unprofessional when I was just trying to get my money back and leave and he says to me, so you just want me to shut up then. I said sir I hope you realize how unprofessional you sound. I am not going to put my son or myself through that. I will find another practice to go to. read more

I met with Dr Maresca in early 2019. When I walked in there was a infant crying by the nurse's station. I was handed tablet to fill out personal information. I dropped the tablet before noticing the screen was shattered. When I asked the receptionist about the cracks, she said not to worry they had been there for months. When I entered the procedure room the TV was tilted 15 degrees sideways. None of the events were concerning but were subtle clues about the practice's lack of attention to detail. I was told an x-ray of my tooth was needed and informed them my dentist had transferred x-rays over. They said they were unable to read x-rays from other dentist and need to take another. Their x-ray machine was a little handheld unit. I then went through a sensitivity test where a something cold was sprayed on a tool & then touched to the tooth next to my troubled tooth after which I raised my hand once I felt the cold sensation. The tool was sprayed again and touched to my troubled tooth's other neighbor until i felt coldness. Finally the tool was NOT sprayed and then touched to my bad tooth where I felt no cold sensation and the doctor quickly proclaimed the tooth was dead. I was given a topical anesthesia which was allowed to sit for a maximum of 2 seconds before a needle tore into my gum. When the doctor returned she grabbed a drill that was repaired with tape around the base. After drilling for a couple of minutes she hit a nerve and I nearly leapt out of the chair. I received another injection of anesthesia and drilling continued. After a spray of either air or water was used to clean the drilling debris a nerve was hit again, on my dead tooth, and I nearly leapt out again. The assistant commented "I thought the tooth was dead". I received a third injection of anesthesia. After finally drilling down to my roots the doctor switched drill bits and a slow process of in cleaning out each root began. During that time the doctor and assistant started a conversation which later turned into the assistant singing and telling jokes which caused the doctor to laugh out loud multiple time while continuing to move the delicate bit in and out of my roots. After the ordeal was complete I was told that even though my insurance covers 100% of the root canal I needed to pay 10% of the cost which would be reimbursed later. When I asked about a prescription for pain killers I was told to take Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Two months after my procedure my tooth pain returned. read more

I am thankful for this place because they made time and effort for me when I really needed it. I was in desperate need of a root canal- it lots of pain, couldn't sleep, laid around with an ice pack on my face, and couldn't take hardly any meds because I am pregnant and due next week. I really needed to take care of this problem before the baby came. When I called for the first time, the receptionist was kind to me and said why don't you just drive over right now and we can examine the tooth. So I drove there right then. The endo was willing to come in the next morning at 8 am to start the root canal process. I ended up switching the appointment to later that afternoon and was happy with the care I received. The assistant, mimi, was a very sweet girl with a big caring heart. read more

I was sent to Peak Endodontics by my dentist to see if I needed a root canal on a tooth that needed the crown replaced. I was examined, X-rayed and told no in the doctors opinion a root canal was not needed. On a Friday of a holiday weekend I was getting my new crown and my dentist told me I would need a root canal and I might be in pain over the weekend as the pulp was exposed. Peak Endodontics agreed to do an emergency root canal on that same Friday after leaving my dentist office. The doctor doing the root canal appeared to be in a hurry and wanted to finish and get out of there (Holliday weekend). Unfortunately he broke part of the file off in my root and cemented it in, I was told this happens from time to time. My doctor put a permanent crown on later that week. Unfortunately the tooth has given me nothing but problems since. Never get major dental work on a Friday or around a Holliday if you can at all help it, and I was not happy with this practice. read more

No one wants to hear they need a root canal. If you have to have it done, this is the place to go. Dr Rivera is funny yet calming at the same time-he explains everything and lets you know what's happening along the way. The staff is super friendly as well. read more

So having dental work is never going to be fun but I can highly recommend Dr Eveland and his team for making me feel relaxed and comfortable, especially as I had challenges with feeling full effect of anesthesia. They were professional, friendly and caring. If you are looking for a great practice, I highly recommend them. read more
