No one likes getting a root canal but the experience at Dr Mann's was as good as one could be expected.

That being said, I'd like to give my honest feedback in regard to a few things that bothered me. I went through Invisalign treatment at this location with Dr. Lou, which overall was a very pleasant experience. However, when I got to my last set of trays, they had me come in early (right as I started them) to have a retainer created and the attachments removed from my teeth. This seemed odd, as I had just started my last tray, but I'm not the doctor here. I asked how often I should wear my retainer as well as for how long I should wear it. I was told wearing them at night would be sufficient and that the length of time varies. I still have no clear answer on when I can stop wearing a retainer, or if it is now a part of my life. Vastly disappointed. Finally, I missed an appointment due to an unforeseen personal reason, and tried to call beforehand (the day of the appointment) to let them know. My phone call was not answered, and I didn't have time to keep trying. I then received a letter telling me I could no longer come to this location for my dental needs, as I had "missed two appointments" which is against their policy. To my knowledge, I have only ever missed one appointment, and I was not aware of this policy to begin with (not that it is important, it could've been fine print or something.) In conclusion, I am rather disappointed with the outcome of my dentist breaking up with me, and to top it off, I have more questions about my Invisalign treatment. I have noticed my teeth beginning to shift despite following instructions for wearing my retainer diligently. I would prefer to speak with the people who provided that service since they are located 5 minutes from me, but their letter to me was very clear and made me feel like a number rather than a person. I would still recommend them for their quality service, but they have left a sour taste in my mouth (not literally, the dental cleanings were great.)

The dental assistant did not even know the names of the tools the Dr. was asking for and unfortunately for my mouth was not knowledgeable about using the equipment (you know when the dentists asks the assistant if she if left handed... things are not going well... and clearly they have never worked together before). Beyond the associates at the practice, the processes for checking equipment, starting in the morning are not in place. Equipment can fail, but one would expect for the room to be checked prior to bringing in the patient - not after the numbing and when you need to start using the tools. Bottom line this is a poorly run dentist factory with poor processes and training/hiring. would not recommend.

I had been a patient of hers several years ago and this is why I came back. I called on a Tuesday morning because my tooth pain was getting worse and worse. My regular dentist (who I should but won't name) kinda shrugged if off. He sent me on my way with a tube of Sensodyne. I was in luck that there was a cancellation and I went to Dr Bills office right away. It's a super convenient Cary location. All of her staff is super warm and caring. She even has a therapy dog on staff !!! She numbed me up really well and the procedure was painless. She and her assistant chat the entire time so that really keeps your mind off of what is going on in your mouth. I would so HIGHLY recommend Dr Bills and her staff. A root canal isn't really that bad.

I have spent the past month of my life in hell. It all started with a filling 2 months ago. That…read morefilling caused me such extreme cold sensitivity that it made me tear up drinking iced tea. Ice cream? Forget about it. The dentist said it was normal, it would go away. Fine, I would wait. Then I was waking up in the middle of the night with the worst pain I have ever experienced in that side of my face. Both the top and the bottom of my mouth. Dentist said I was grinding my teeth. Gave me a night guard. Night guard didn't work, dentist said I probably had a sinus infection because looking at the x-rays, my teeth were perfectly healthy. (I'm glad they looked healthy, they felt like they were about to explode but thanks for that.) I went to the doctor. Not a sinus infection. Dentist referred me to a TMJ specialist. Instead I looked on the internet and found Dr. Bills. Dr. Bills and her staff started off on the right foot by TALKING to me. Asking what was going on, explaining things that the dentist didn't bother explaining to me. Then she tapped on my teeth and sprayed water on them. The whole problem with my mouth? One tooth. The tooth that was filled 2 months prior. It would need a root canal. They didn't have any openings for 2 weeks, but since I was in pain for over a month, they made one. I don't like dentists. I especially don't like the idea of a root canal. I had never had one, I was scared to death. I told Dr. Bills that I would prefer to be put under. She disagreed, telling me it wasn't as bad as I thought and that it would cost extra and instead she could give me Valium for free (even though she thought I didn't even need that.) So I reluctantly agreed. She's the expert, right? So my parents took me in that day since I couldn't drive myself on the Valium. I was relaxed. High as a kite, really. I am not kidding ONE BIT when I say that I have had TEETH CLEANING that were more painful than Dr. Bills' ROOT CANAL. Just the tiniest prick from the needle (and really, it was the least painful needle prick I've ever felt) was the only thing I ever felt. I think I might have ever gone to sleep during part of the procedure. And thanks to the valium, I slept for 4 hours, woke up with the numbing effect worn off. The procedure was at 6:45 am, and I have not had any pain killers since. Around lunch time I ate ice cream. I nearly cried. Not in pain, though. Quite the opposite. Dr. Bills is the real deal, y'all.
