The roof started leaking at the vent pipe location. They first sent a guy who, instead of taking responsibility, completely denied there was any problem with the roof and said the vent pipe itself was the problem as it was rusted. We spent a $100 on getting the vent pipe checked out by an HVAC technician, who told us that the pipe was fine - no issues. So, I had to climb on the roof with a garden hose and run water on the roof to show that it was because of bad roof installation - I sent JP the video of the problem (the flashing of the vent pipe was not properly meshed with the shingles), and only then they agreed to fix it. The second problem is with the gutters, which are still not fixed. There is a gap between the new gutters and the roof, which is letting water to come through the gap. I have been trying to get hold of the person - they have promised to come 4 times over the last month but still have not fixed the problem. I have stayed home from work a couple of times just for it, and they did not even inform me that they were not going to make it that day. All in all, a very bad post-install service - a complete lack of professionalism!

Cary (the owner) came in with the first of several estimates. Of the contractors I contacted, he best understood what I wanted. My house had rotting window frames, uneven bad-looking shake shingle siding that was long past the day I should have done something about it. A house down the street had the look I wanted, and Cary quoted me the price. I also asked about replacing my front and side doors. The siding color I wanted was a special order, so I had to wait a couple weeks for it to be made. It was well worth the wait. Lifetime supplied a brand called "Perfection" and it is truly perfect siding. The siding sections lock together in a way that I don't think even a hurricane would loosen them. All the rotted wood was replaced with Azek trim. The result is my 70-year-old run-down house now looks like a new build. The doors that leaked cold air during the winter are gone. I am very satisfied.

It was leaking when the snow buildup started melting and then freezing again causing an ice layer under the snow which then melted again. Dollar signs were flying around my head! We called Rott for an estimate and received a call back the same day. This is not always the case when trying to get estimates. They were out the next day and arrived on time. After looking at the roof they pretty much said when we thought and also said our entire roof did NOT need to be replaced. Good news. They gave us an estimate which we thought was reasonable and we set up the appointment for the work to be done. Work day arrived and they again arrived on time. It was a 2 man crew and they got right to work. Only complaint was we had to ask them to lay plastic over the garden area in the front of the house to protect my just starting to bloom garden. The work was completed and they cleaned up the whole area, even removing some yard debris that was already there. Obviously we won't really know if the work is ok until next year but at this point we're happy with the service, the look of the finished product, and the price. When that happens, you need a company led by people who take responsibility, not leaders who dismiss documented evidence. The roof was installed before I purchased the home, but its premature failure within just 7 years has caused severe issues: 2026 ice damming, living room leaks, and heavy Cladosporium mold growth--a serious health risk for young children. A properly installed roof is generally expected to last decades, not fail within 7 years. I want to be clear that my concern is with the installation and with how leadership has responded--not with the individual installation crew, who I do not believe are responsible for these decisions. An independent inspection revealed a ventilation design conflict--a ridge vent paired with gable vents and limited intake--creating a "short-circuited" system that trapped attic moisture. Ventilation design -- Given that no intake vent was installed and unsealed gable vents were already present, what was the reasoning for adding a ridge vent, creating an unbalanced system? 4.Flashing and fasteners -- My concern is specifically about exposed, unsealed fastener holes from reused flashing, not whether pan flashing itself should be visible. How does reusing flashing without resealing align with proper water-intrusion prevention? 5. Liability basis -- Separate from contractual technicalities, what is a contractor's responsibility for non-compliant work, especially since liability insurance opened a claim? We were quoted for a new roof on our home in April 2025 and work began soon after. The workers had total disregard for our property. They stomped across our front garden, left their empty cans in our children's sandbox, and left nails just all over. They also smashed and snapped a huge limb off of our lilac bush (I watched them do this carelessly). They left extra pieces of roofing on the roof that blew off into the yard as well as a significant amount of nails on top of the roof of our porch. I understand the work can be messy, but this seemed outrageous. I was picking nails off our driveway for months afterward. The real issues started this winter. We live in Colden, NY and are used to harsh winters with an old roof. However, you'd think after almost $30k for a brand new roof you wouldn't have to worry about leaking/ insane ice issues on it. We have had leaking in the past that we were told would be remedied with the new roof. Instead, the leaking has been significantly worse this year causing more damage through our walls and ceilings. The first time they sent a repairman out to address the issue I was not asked if we were home or if they could come on the property. They called and told me (again, not asked) they'd be at our house in 20 minutes. While I appreciate the quick response, I am a SAHM with two littles and really did not feel comfortable receiving a call that someone would be coming into my home while I was home by myself. In addition to this, they gave the repairman the wrong address and he ended up stuck in my neighbor's driveway which was completely torn up when they pulled him out. The repairman did nothing but take photos of the house and shrug. He told me he couldn't do anything because the amount of ice on the roof would further damage it. The second time this happened, he took a ladder up to look at the issue and told us it was because of the siding. Our siding is old, however we are not convinced the siding is the issue. He found more pieces of roof that'd blown off in our yard and told us he was going to leave to reshape them and come back later that day to reattach them.
