Called this company for a quote on my leaking roof. Was spoken to very rudely by a man who told me that his time was "too valuable" to come out, because he believes most customers who call this time of year are dealing with ice jams, not truly leaking roofs. He wouldn't even look at my roof without charging me. His time may be valuable, but so is my hard earned cash, which his company clearly did not want. Happy to take my business elsewhere and not give thousands of dollars to someone who speaks so rudely to a potential customer. read more

I recently had a tear off and roof replacement completed by Dalex Roofing. They also replaced some gutters that were always overflowing with wider ones for greater carrying capacity. Igor, the project manager, was very flexible and easy to work with. Their price was competitive. Dalex uses high end roofing material, this was a big plus for me. And, it looks fantastic. Cleanup was really impressive, virtually nothing left behind! Would definitely recommend Dalex. read more

I'm in the process of packing up my attic to get ready to list my house, and I'm dealing with all of the nails that Dalex put in my roof that don't actually lineup to the rafters, as well as the massive mess that they left behind when they did not tarp the contents in my attic, and allowed 100 years of debris to fall all over the items in my attic. I am now cleaning up that huge mess so that the next owner of my home does not have to. read more

We could not be happier with Dalex. Provided a quick, accurate estimate and did some additional work for us on our siding. Igor and his team were professional and courteous, left the property spotless and did high quality work. Very satisified, would highly recommend. read more

First of all, I want to thank my fellow Yelpers for helping us choose our roofer. That is what we're here for after all, right? Our roof was really a mess. (I wish I had a "before" picture. Boy, was it ugly!) My husband and I are terrible procrastinators, but we just couldn't put it off any longer. Rather than getting multiple quotes, I trusted all these 5-star ratings and hired Dalex. No regrets whatsoever. After Dimitriy made his inspection, he explained what we needed and made suggestions on improvements, then presented a detailed proposal. Everything was carried out exactly as outlined in the contract. The crew arrived first thing in the morning, big boss Alex stopped by in the afternoon to make sure everything was going well, and by 8 p.m. they were packed up and ready to pull out, leaving our driveway and yard even cleaner than it was before. To say nothing of that gorgeous new roof! read more

Outstanding professional workmanship on re-roofing our entire roof and gutters! After the November & December storms of 2022 we had no leaks or ice dams. Dalex in the beginning covered all aspects and concerns. The craftsmen who did the work were truly happy in their work, most respectful and did the job as if this was their home. I cannot express enough how highly I recommend Dalex Roofing. On our street alone they re-roofed 3 homes! :-) read more

Dalex roofing went above and beyond what was promised to fix my roof. Every person I worked with was polite and professional. Outstanding value and expertise. read more

Stop looking for a roofer and just save your time and call Dalex. For years we've had a slow leak near our chimney that ruined one of our bedroom walls. I got quotes from 3 roofing companies, but Dalex seemed the most knowledgable with reasonable prices. The initial dianosis by Dalex was that the pointing on the chimney was cracked, and therefore was the problem. We hired a mason, and for a time, that took care of the problem. But then it leaked again. This time, we were sure it was the roof. Dalex re-tiled near the chimney and put new flashing and sealant on. Again, that took care of the leak for three years, but it started leaking again about 1/2 year ago. One thing I know is that Dmitry Dedovets, owner of Dalex, backs their work. He came out today, got on my roof and for hours sprayed specific points to determine the leak origin. We discovered it was in a key mortar joint, which had been "finger pointed" (and was now cracked), instead of ground out and re-pointed correctly. Dmitry sealed the crack (plus a bunch of others), and we re-tested the roof, unsing high pressure spray. NO LEAKS! Throughout the process, Dmitry sent me photos of each problem area - even a video of where he was spraying. He communicated the mechanics of the leak so I was confident in the process we were following. I feel confident should there be any more problems, Dmitry will continue to back his work. I now call Dalex, "The Roof Whisperers." read more

We had the DALEX crew replace our roof with a metal roof. They did this in January 2021, which is no small task in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY! The gentlemen were wonderful to have here. We have a rather large roof with a problem area on the northern side. The crew was courteous, respectful and an absolute joy to work with. I cannot say enough about the entire crew. We are very happy with our metal roof, and would not hesitate to highly recommend DALEX. We were very impressed with the reliability of this company. They are in communication with you every step of the process. read more

They managed to squeeze me in for a small roof repair, even with all this rainy weather. Very pleasant and courteous. Seemed thorough. I'd hire them again. Great experience with Dalex after this weekend's wind storm. I'm sure they were very busy but they took my one missing shingle (from a section of roof that had not needed work before) seriously and were very efficient and responsive. read more

I recently had storm damage to my garage roof. I called four contractors to give me a quote. The first came out as he said he would, however gave me no formal quote. He had a "just trust me" attitude about him. The second, Dalex, told me when I called that I would pay a fee for the estimate, and then if I chose to do the work, that would be credited to my final payment. That seemed reasonable to me, so I scheduled them to come out. While Max was at my home, I received both a printed and emailed bid for my work and zero pressure to make a quick decision. The third and fourth contractors did not return my phone call. I decided to go with Dalex, the company that gave me a formal quote. Max came back to my house to have me sign the paperwork and to answer any questions that I had. When they came to do the work, I found all of the workers that I came in contact with to be both polite and professional. The work was completed in less than the time estimated. After they left, Vitali, called me to say that they had inadvertently missed a portion of the work. He instructed me not to make my final payment until he could get that piece of the work done. He apologized at least three times for his oversight. I was able to tell him truthfully that this was not a big deal to me, that I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. They then completed the work in a much more timely fashion than I had thought would happen. Over all, it's not just how you do the job well, it's also how you recover when there has been some mistake or oversight. This experience left me feeling great about Dalex and feeling like I had been well taken care of. Highly recommend. read more

Need a roof? Contact Dalax! Great experience with this company; very knowledgeable about roof materials and ventilation. I received 4 proposals; it was not hard to select Dalax, I did a lot of research before starting estimates and Dalax was consistent and accurate with information that I gained on my own and directly from Certainteed. Dealt with Max (estimate) Vitaly who handled scheduling and was at the job every day and Frank the job foreman. Frank was phenomenal and something I didn't expect but observed was the professionalism in his management style with an equally terrific crew. Work done; roof replacement, gutters, reinstall gutter guards, soffits w/new fascia trim, baffles & new steel chimney. Great company, unconditionally recommend. read more

I was absolutely wowwed by Dalex Roofing all the way around. After several estimates by other contractors, Dmitry came out from Dalex. He spent quite a bit of time in my attic checking everything out and taking pictures so he could explain things to me. He was concerned about venting, insulation, copper stripping and anything else that had to do with the integrity of the roof. He was very thorough, detailed and professional. He gave me the confidence that everything in my home from the ceiling up would be well attended to...and then they delivered on it! The workers showed up on time. The project manager Igor was very communicative throughout the whole process. They completed my roof in a day. They put everything back in its place around my home and went around with a magnetic rake to assure that no nails were left. I was in such appreciation for their work ethic, integrity and commitment to excellence on every front. It was clear that quality and workmanship were of great importance to them which I deeply value. I simply can't say enough. Dalex rocks! read more

We had a wonderful experience with the Dalex Roofing company. Everything was explained to us and Demetri answered all of our questions. The crew was very prompt, arriving on time and covering all of the shrubs and garden plants with tarps so they would not be damaged. All of the workers were very friendly and polite, and they did a thorough job of cleaning the area after they finished installing the roof. The next day, Alex arrived at our house and talked with us, asking if we had any questions or concerns. We were so happy with the Dalex Roofing Company, and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a quality roofing job, at a great, competitive price. read more

I recently hired Dalex to perform a complete tear-off of my roof. Their estimate was right in line with other companies, if not less. I chose them because I heard so many positive things, not just because they gave one of the cheaper estimates. I was incredibly pleased with the work performed. They are so easy to work with (I LOVE contractors who text and e-mail rather than just call - so much easier for me). Their crew is incredibly hardworking. In the first couple days they worked from 9 a.m. - after 10 p.m. The place was an absolute mess but by the end of the project everything was cleaned and I have only found a few remaining pieces of debris (quite impressive considering the magnitude of the work performed). What really sealed the deal for me was when they installed my skylight. A younger employee (maybe early 20s) came to finish the interior; seal and stain the wood. At the end of the day I heard a light knock on my side door. In a very friendly, polite and even shy way, he asked if he could borrow my vacuum cleaner so he could clean up his work area. He lugged my heavy vacuum up to the third floor and I heard him cleaning for no less than 20 minutes. What other contractor provides that type of service? read more

Our old landlord, who owns several properties in town, told us that Dalex was the only company he would trust to do his roof. We went with his advice and hired Dalex for a full tear-off and replacement of our roof (including a flat roof that we use as a patio in back of our house). The quote for the job was not the cheapest we received, but we went with Dalex anyway. Here are the reasons we are glad we did: -- All the Dalex folks, from Dmitry who gave us the quote to Alex who was on-site, were very courteous and professional. -- Dmitry in particular was extremely patient in answering all of our questions. He provided clear answers and called back quickly when we had something to ask. -- The job we had was a pain in the ass, and Dalex was flexible in working with us. They ended up doing the job in two parts: They did the flat roof in mid-October, before the weather got too cold to use the material we wanted, then came back later to do the main roof. (We requested this delay because we needed to get our chimneys fixed before the main roof was replaced). -- Good clean-up around the outside of the house. -- The price quoted was the price we paid. This may not be the case for all jobs, but they did not find any reason to charge us extra at the end, as many companies do. Cons: -- The attic was left really dirty, though they promised it would be cleaned. -- The yard looked a bit messed up afterward, but I don't know how any roofing company would have gotten around that. We were very, very pleased with the job. Very glad we went with this company. read more

Very happy with the roof they replaced on my shed. Showed up on time and cleaned the entire work area up after.

DALEX Roofing is reliable and professional. They take the time to explain all procedures, answer your questions and address all concerns. The DALEX crew works well together to resolve problem areas and get the job done. They were great to work with from day one, of getting estimates for a large job to finishing the project. Communication was excellent throughout the project. I would definitely work with them again! Thank you DALEX! read more

Dalex did a phenomenal job on our roof. They were courteous, prompt and addressed all of our concerns. Of the quotes we received, they were the only ones to go onto the roof, inspect it, and show us exactly what was going on. Would highly recommend them. read more

Dalex roofing is a top notch roofing company . Dmitry being the owner along with family gives you on site estimates , evaluates needs let's you know ahead of time the cost. I compared his estimate to others and his was the fairest for the work done . Tear off , new facia , certainteed shingle , aluminum wrap on facia , longer drip edge to fit inside gutter . New gutters and downspouts , about 14 square , ( on barn ) all done and cleaned up with magnet wheeled cart used to clean up nails . All this was done in 6 hours except for gutters that were done within a few days taking less then 2 hours . Went back to Dalex after having House done 5 years ago ... Something to consider - family owned and operated , been in business 15 years , triple A rated by Better Business Bureau . read more

November 15, 2020 there was a high wind/rain storm with winds projected at 55+ mph sustained (Buffalo, NY weather). During this storm, roofing shingles (3ft x 3ft sections) were ripped off the house as well as quite a few sections off of our shed. I thought I was in OZ and so did my brother who has a disability. The next day I searched online for roofing companies after my former roofer (16 years ago with 25 yr shingles) was unable to assist. The woman at Dalex told me she would do what she could to help, explained that there is a cost for the estimate which I had no problem with, my house is "broken" and needs fixing. Plus, guess what, it gets credited towards the cost of the project if you choose them to do it. I was fine with all that esp seeing all the other companies either gave me the runaround, just an amount with no explanation of what needs to be done or never showed. Dmitriy explained everything that needed to be done in detail and why the shingles came off. He also mentioned that with the ins adjuster putting a tarp on he wouldn't know exactly the full extent of the damage until repair day. He had a good idea from all the debris around. Very upfront and honest about everything right from the get go. It was 16º with scattered flurries on repair day and the crew showed up promptly, were polite and hard workering. They did an excellent job restoring my roof and cleaning up. The quote was spot on, Dmitriy is extremly knowledgeable. I definately recommend Dalex Roofing and am going to tell all my friends and family about them. Oh and by the way they are also listed with the BBB, Angies List and have several awards and certificates. No doubt about it, they are THE BEST in WNY! read more

BEST Roofing company in Buffalo to deal with!!! Dalex did an outstanding job on my roof in the city of Buffalo. Our old roof was in terrible condition and our house has very little room around it to work and we are in Allentown - a historic district with a lot of zoning rules. Maksim and Vitaly from Dalex worked with the City of Buffalo permitting and requirements and they and their crew did an outstanding job. They worked tirelessly with lots of obstacles and did a phenomenal and neat job. Can't say enough about this company and would highly recommend them to anyone!! EXCELLENT! read more

When I contacted Dalex Roofing to look at a roof leak they were very responsive and sent someone out the next day. The cost to inspect the roof would be $50 which I paid. The gentleman that came to inspect the roof was very polite and professional and informed me a quote for the repair would be provided within two days and a quote for a new roof would come a couple days later. After a couple weeks and no quotes I called and left a message with no response. Since then have called several times and still no response. A month has gone by with no quote. Very disappointed. read more

We just had a full tear-off roof replacement done by Dalex. We were impressed throughout the process (from the first visit to quote the job to the final clean-up after they were done) with the professionalism and attention to customer service that the brothers who operate Dalex demonstrated. We selected Dalex based on references from other satisfied customers and we were not disappointed. We live in a Preservation District and the appearance of our home is very important to us. We kept going back and forth on the soffit venting detail until a few days before the project began. We never felt pressured or that they were impatient with our questions and requests for examples of other roofs they had done. They also went out of their way to make small repairs to our neighbors' gutters (the houses are very close together) and came back the day after the roof was finished to wash down the area around the house. read more

We used them for the roof on our addition. Dmitry came to meet with us and was easy to work with. I love contractors that text message - and he is one of them. Three years ago I had Dalex replace the windows on the first floor of my 1950's home. Vitaly came to do the estimate. In all my dealings with him he was prompt, informative and pleasant to work with. During installation he and his crew were thorough and efficient. They worked a long day but completed the job in one day. I was very pleased with their work and had no hesitation to have them back the following year to replace the second floor windows -- again, an excellent job. From my experience with Vitaly I have to say he was very fair, highly ethical and does excellent work. read more

Dalex really did an excellent job! It was a lot of work and they explained the entire process. There were no surprises. The work was performed on schedule at the price discussed. It was a tear-down job that required crew inside and out of the house. Everyone was professional and loved what they were doing! When the job was finished the roof looked beautiful and all was clean and nothing was damaged or broken. Dispite the warning I received about roofers I had no issues with Dalex. I could not give them a higher recommendation and I never give the highest. read more
