We gave him a deposit and he let us know approximately when the job would start. The crew showed up on time and immediately went to work. Nick, delegated his crew and I honestly don't think they took a break till lunch! Super hardworking crew. They cleaned up and very respectful of our property. I would give 10 (ten) stars if I could. Very disappointing. Said they were coming and didn't without letting me know. Added costs without asking. Drove a roofing nail through my ceiling. Waited until the roof was done to say the gutter job would be weeks later, leaving me with no gutters. And takes no responsibility for any of it. read more

Unfortunately, I spent $30k for a new roof, including new sheeting, only to discover that they would use a really poor subcontractor to execute. Ava had to come back to fix the issues we (as homeowners) uncovered, like: -used finishing nails instead of roofing nails in high wind areas -not tarring over exposed nails -had rippling of shingles in the back of the house -ridge vent didn't get added to the full roof -broke a beam and originally used a 2x4 on one side, didn't even notify me that this happened. -didn't cut soffits where they were supposed to -put feet through our ceiling in 2 areas and I discovered it on my own They fixed all these things properly and quickly, but only after I called to explain the same sub contractors they sent back originally, didn't do a good job fixing some of them. So then I asked for their actual internal installers to come out and fix. When they did that (sent Billy), the craftsmanship was much better. Now, 4 months after installation, my brand new bathroom vents are blowing air back in and not as strong anymore. We discover it's because of the way they installed the the roof vents. The grates are pushing up against the opening so they can't open fully. I'm beyond frustrated that poor installation caused all these issues to appear! Although Ava has come out each time, if I was an uneducated home owner, I would not necessarily be able to find these issues and push to get them fixed. If you choose to use them, make sure it's not a subcontractor doing the work and that they are using their internal team. read more

I am not related to this company; I am customer. WOW!! This is a great company. I needed a gutter replacement for my whole house. I received an estimate from another company last year which was about $5-6,000 higher than what I was seeing online for this area. So this year, I called AVA. Adam came over, looked at everything and gave me an estimate that was right on the money. He explained everything - how much gutter I would need, how many downspouts, special color options, installation - everything. I received the estimate the next day and could not believe what a good price they gave me. The job was completed the following week The house looks beautiful - and I now have new gutters that exactly match the house trim, large enough to handle the weather the house gets `AND GUTTER GUARDS!!!! The installers were so professional - meticulously neat and efficient. We even had a neighbor from down the road stop and ask the installers and how to get an estimate for his own house. I called and the woman on the phone did not have me in their system, even after receiving emails and text message reminders of the appointment. I hired AVA Roofing to do a complete new roof, vents, gutters and down spouts after seeing firsthand the exceptional job they did on my sister's home in Snyder- and they did not disappoint. From start to finish- completing a quick form on their website, they were able to do an assessment using satelite imagery of the roof down to the square inch and calculate what would be needed and a fair estimate for the work- followed by an in home visit of one of their sales reps with an impressive array of options available. No rush, nor pressure but an excellent presentation of what would be done and all the options available with the best material and products available- all backed by their 10 year/lifetime guarantee. (Yes, you read that correctly!) Once agreed, we just had to wait for the weather to cooperate and let me tell you, they showed up with an "army" of workers, trucks and machinery at 7:30 a.m. on the dot and worked from sun-up to sundown on day one---quietly (as possible) professionally and efficiently doing the tear down, repair(s) , shingling and nearly finished in one day. Day two was the same- they finished by noon. In addition to an excellent job, it is worthy of note- the owner of the company would usually come by on site to oversee and answer any questions I had which was great and appreciated. Also of note--throughout the whole job, some of the workers were devoted to doing nothing but cleaning and sweeping and ensuring nothing disturbed the neighbors...in fact, they left my property cleaner (immaculate) than before they arrived complete with doing a "magnetic sweep" of my entire property to pick up any loose nails. While they did sub-contract the gutters and downspouts out- I would also like to give "Jacob's Gutter Service" a quick shout out as well!--These guys were awesome!- Much like AVA- they showed up on time and did my entire house in about 4 hours- everything (materials, measuring, cutting and precision installation all done on site. What I also really liked was they take great pride in their work and want your business--they didnt leave until it was "just" right--but rather-- EXACTLY right--which was nice to see. This company is awesome. They identified the roof leak issue, outlined a plan and completed the job. That was a couple years ago. I recently called them for a possible issue and they were there within 2 hours. Pointed out the problem and took care of it. It was unrelated to the roofing job but the service person fixed it. Full roof replacement was rushed, and AVA missed many simple details (shingle-drip edge overlap) or cut corners (use of inferior brands not agreed to in the contract, excessive use of sealant, damaged and mismatched flashing, gaps in flashing where there shouldn't be any) which leaves me questioning the integrity of the entire job. To make matters worse, the job LOOKS rushed. After stressful months of back-and-forth, they eventually performed a few minimal updates and then threatened collections as the next step. I'm considering small claims with my lawyer. In the meanwhile, I get to cross my fingers that all leakage issues were addressed...and that I don't have to call to ask them to honor any warranties. Buffalo homeowners deserve better. read more

They don't do what they say they do. They replaced my roof in August, when they replaced the drip edge they broke the seal between the gutter and the fascia board. Now water, and debris is draining closer to the house than I like, as I have had leaking basement issues, this is why they were sealed. Now the company says that it's not their responsibility. Unbelievable, customer service sucks. I guess 18k buys you a wet basement. These gutters were sealed all the way around both top and bottom roofs in October of 2022 by Expert contracting in West Seneca. This is less than a year ago. Not a drop of water dripped between this area until you touched it. If it's not rainy tomorrow, I'll get on the roof myself and show you where they were sealed. You obviously don't have the correct details yourself. read more

Ava did an Incredible job on my roof. This service was Very pristine fast and quick. They even sent out someone to power spray any left over residue from my roof and collected the rest of any nails remaining in my driveway, front yard and back. This company gets 10 out of 10 stars for communication and fast response along with quality of work. The sales representatives were very friendly and answered any question I had. We used them to clear snow off our roof and driveway after the big snowstorm. They caused $6,000 of damage to our car and refused to take any responsibility for the damage. Have not paid them and they are adding finance charges to boot. I enjoyed the commercials they did. I didn't enjoy the damage to my car. read more

Salesman talked a big talk. To my surprise subcontractors came the day my roof was to be done. I don't know how AVA's work is, because the subcontractor did it. If you want AVA to do your roof, get it written in the contract. If not, from my experience, they will subcontract smaller roofs out. read more

I had a leaky roof issue that was addressed a few years ago, but just came back. We were prepared to pay for a new roof. I used the AVA website to schedule an estimate. They were able to come out the next day. Russ assessed that we did not need a new roof and developed a plan to fix the problem. You have to really respect a business that doesn't try to sell you what you don't need. And Russ was so friendly and easy to talk to. He bought us some more time with our roof, and when it's time for the new one, I will absolutely use AVA. read more

Put roof on house when they knew storm was coming. Said they would beat the storm! Unable to get roof done before big storm started! They knew this yet didn't care! You guessed it, water came into the house! They told us it wasn't a big deal and the water would dry up. Had to repaint the ceiling, it will never look right again! read more

AVA Roofing did a wonderful job re-roofing our house. They were low bidder out of several companies who bid on the project, & were the only ones who seriously seemed to want the job. It was scheduled for the first week of October, but in the middle of September one of the owners called & said they could start the next day! We were thrilled. The job was done in two days & our roof is absolutely beautiful. They cleaned up the yard very nicely also. The man next door saw the job they did on our house & also hired AVA Roofing to do his roof, which they did the following day. We are delighted & I recommend this company highly. read more

Jobs are higher priced as they pitch it as a family company. Make sure everything is detailed in the contract and phone calls are followed up with emails to confirm. Jobs were subcontracted out when it was outside of the busy season. Paid for Ava but got a sub contractor. They show up for payment though. Had my rental property done 2 months ago and it took them 4 days for a small roof. Also they are not the only certainteed provider in the area which is one of their pitches. read more

I would not even give this business one star. I live in the same town as AVA Siding. Would love to support local businesses. I was hoping to get an estimate for siding. This time of year is not busy for this type of work and was hoping for a quick turnaround. I called and left a message on voicemail, but did not receive a response. The next day I visited the AVA Siding website and submitted an inquiry for an estimate. I did receive a phone call from the owner? We were scheduled for an estimate today at 10 am. It is now past 12 noon. No phone call, no email, no show!!! We are all busy and have to adjust "our" schedules accordingly. There is no excuse for this, especially from the owner of a company. I started shopping around for quotes for a new roof. Met with Anatoliy from AVA and felt very comfortable from day one. He took the time to explain their entire process and at no time did I feel pressured into any additional expenses. After several other quotes, I decided to have AVA as my contractor and scheduled roof replacement for May. Not only did they provide a detailed quote, it included all the necessary equipment and permits needed. Anatoliy called on April 13th and had a cancellation and service was provided on April 14th. A crew of 6 arrived at my home at 730am. Anatoliy arrived at 9am checking on his crew and to meet with me. The crew had most of the roof torn off by this time, and it was found that the plywood on my roof dormers were rotten and needed replaced. I was provided immediately with the additional costs and was comfortable with the additional expense. The crew worked all day - only taking a small break for lunch. They worked till dark (9pm) and cleaned up all debris and equipment. They returned the following day for a few items they needed to complete and when completed removed the full dumpster and any removing debris. AVA exceeded my expectations and I was very pleased with their service. I won't be hesitant in recommending this company to anyone. I give them 5 out of 5 stars!
