The cost was comparable to trex…read more While this should have been a simple build upon taking off the old deck board Pavel discovered a lot of rot. He is so meticulous we decided to replace studs and all the rim board. Then he was very concerned about the source of the water that caused the rot, he went to great lengths to protect the new studs from water. You can see he added crushed stone and also decided replacing the siding with a better install. Being handicapped in a wheelchair, he was nice enough raise the deck and install railing and deeper steps to facilitate my ingress and egress. I have nothing but praises as he really took the time to make the build correct and precise. The photos show beginning to end (follow the numbers as they are out of order. We are SO happy. His work looked good so I ordered the table "paint and stain ready" as My wife wanted to paint it herself. Cracked, holes, cheap 2x4's, half of it was sanded..still had sticker on the wood. Not routered,screws showing etc. To top it all off it wasn't even his picture. He got it from a website, which had directions right in it! Was told he would fix the cracks and holes, but "she knew what She ordered and she would have to paint/stain and fill holes" (wrote it was paint and stain ready) and would not be refunded because it was a custom piece and I knew exactly what I was getting. paid $157.00 for a $30 table. And he is continuing to post the tables. Shame on me for using marketplace instead of a real business, so don't make the same mistake as I did!

Although, the merchandise was delivered on time as promised by the owner but on the day of the delivery, the delivery man whoever delivered it placed the table right in front of my garage door. He promised to come back that same day to move the table but he never did. After numerous text messages and calls, he finally came back but instead of putting the table in where it should belong , he moves it in the driveway away from my garage door. And he said he can't move to the back as my gate was so narrow to do so but a visitor of mine came and said the table can be move if they have to move it side ways. The table is so flimsy and not stable and it's woobly as the brace in the middle can not hold the weight of the table. And I think that's his reason why he can't move it sideways because he is so afraid that the table will breakdown knowing the quality of the craftmaship is very very poor. As of this writing, the table is still sitting in my driveway so i requested him to come and pick up the table and sell to whoever can accept the quality of his work and just refund me my money. I will never recommend this business establishment.

Based on the reviews he read here on Yelp he decided to go with Alt Builders and their owner Dan. He contacted Dan and was who responded very promptly on a Sunday afternoon. Dan came out the next day to size up the job. He was prompt and very knowledgeable about what Jeff was looking to have done. The patio door was ordered and came in approximately 3 weeks later. Dan and his crew were able to come out to do the job within a couple of days and completed the job in a day and a half just like he promised. They cleaned up and the installation went smoothly. The price was very reasonable and Jeff is definitely going to hire Alt Builders in the future to get some doors installed. He highly recommends Dan for any work or repairs you might need.
