At this point in time he's taken thousands from my family and he's done no work. The promises to start the work started in May 2021. I would constantly reach out as I was wondering where he was and looking for updates. He did respond most of the time but not always timely. However, there was always a different reason he couldn't start or a false promise that he was starting soon. Some of the excuses he gave were due to delays from covid, a hurt worker, lack of staff, issues with his truck, needing to see a dentist, etc. The list goes on. He knew all of these were obstacles before he signed a contract with me and even after. I just wish I knew because I wouldn't have signed a contract with him considering my situation. I'm shocked he continued getting others to sign new contracts with him without disclosing any of this or simply being up front that it would take months and months before he could do the work. At this point in time he won't refund my money as he said he'd already put all the money into the supplies he bought. However, similar to others he can't provide proof of all the supplies he bought. I feel as if I was taken advantage of. I pray he does the right thing and pays me back as well as others in the same situation as me.

As soon as we stepped inside this unpretentious set up, I knew we'd found our cabinet maker. We chatted and learned way more than imaginable about cabinetry and countertops. He even opened a drawer and (gulp) stood in it. That is how sturdy he builds cabinets. Handsome gorgeous cabinets. John has the entire process of building cabinets to an art. He visited our home on several occasions and gave input and advice as needed. We visited the slab yard and selected granite from the beautiful pieces available. Once he measured he returned and double checked with us certain areas so he could build the most efficient spacious cabinets possible. John is a stellar carpenter and doesn't like to waste any space, claiming to be all thriller, no filler (no faux panels). We honestly listened to John when it came to best depth, width and such details. This is his forte. He reminded us regularly that he wants us to have it our way. When he suggested knobs (and a place online to order) and not pulls we listened. The cabinets come with all slow close, superior hinges, and made for your needs. The shelving has sturdy metal grommets and pegs and holds 60% more weight than standard cabinetry allows. I asked for a cabinet to store my stringed instruments and got that. He even lowered the placement available for the oven/microwave combo 4" so it'd be easier for vertically-challenged me to reach! Plus full depth over the refrigerator storage cabinet. So very happy with this local business.

We called on a Saturday morning and he answered right away. We asked if we could make an appointment. He was very accommodating and said that he could squeeze us in between two other appointments that day. He showed us some products, gave us a tour and gave us a quote right on the spot. We were so impressed we decided to do the job. We were not disappointed! John came out to do the measuring and then a week later was there to do the install. He answered any questions we had, was SUPER neat, we are clean freaks so we very much appreciated that! I can't recommend Red Leaf Milling enough! On this visit I heard a strange banging outside the second story bedroom and realized that the flashing under the eve had come off and was hitting the power cable coming from the pole to the house. Mom is 88 and I'm not a spring chicken either, so the thought of finding a giant ladder and trying to fix this was out of the question. I had remembered that Robert's did the siding in the 90's, the garage roof in early 2000, and put 2 new windows last year. They did beautiful work each time, so I decided they should be my first call. I explained my situation to Sarah and she immediately hooked me up with Jerry. He remembered my Mom and her house and said "I got a few guys in the neighborhood, I'll send them by this afternoon"! What incredible service!!! Twenty minutes after talking, two great Techs were in Mom's driveway! They searched the bushes and found all the parts that had fallen off and then re-attached them. They then went and made sure all the other pieces were secure. Less than a half hour later, the problem was solved! I talked with the techs about two areas where the siding had gotten damaged by the trees and they said they could see if they could find some matching siding. The Good: - The…read morepre-sale process was smooth. Jake had an excellent presentation - They were the lowest bidder - The roof looks good and I have not had any issues with it. - Their "A" team came out to correct some issues (the flashing looked like it had been installed by a 4th grader) The Bad: - I was told that a PM would be onsite the entire time. In reality he was on site for maybe 10% of the project - My project was sub-contracted out to a another team and I was NOT informed of this. This became a major problem when I started having issues and could not talk to anyone (the subcontractors did not speak english). Note that Buffalo Fresh Roof is NOT the company you are signing with. The contract is actually with Bors Pros Construction - Within an hour on the first day, the protective tarps had come down and there was debris raining down on my deck and flower beds. When the PM showed up at the end of the day, he said that this could not be helped. Of course, that is garbage - they wouldn't put the tarps up if they didn't have a purpose. Also, this is not what I was told in pre-sales. As a side note, I saw the same sub-contractors working on a project down the street for another company a few weeks later. There were no problems with the tarps on that project. - The roofers decided to try to do a u-turn in my lawn and got stuck (I still have the ruts). They then gave me attitude when I refused to try to pull them out using my truck. - I have damage to my gutters, deck, flower beds and lawn. - I am still finding nails around the perimeter of the house To be fair, the PM did knock off the additional cost incurred in replacing some of the plywood. It wasn't worth what I am going to have to spend in the spring to fix my yard, flowerbeds and lawn - I just wanted them gone.
