Would 100% recommend and use Dorner Decking again. The owner (Tim) was very fast and easy to communicate with during the process to get a quote. His quote was significantly better explained than any of the other quotes we got, and his cost was in the middle of the spread of quotes. But the quote was very fair considering the top quality and all the perks of hiring Dorner. His deck photos were also the prettiest wooden decks we saw. He also handled getting the permit himself which was nice. And again, this quote was the best explained. The others kind of made me feel like they picked a number out of their head. With the work now completed, we see that Tim and his team have perfected their art even more than before. Top notch quality, I fear this deck will outlast our house. Massive 6x6" posts were used to support the structure. Amherst inspector expressed he was routinely impressed by the quality of work he puts out. In "The Great Northern Move of 2014" my husband and I had a list of "must-haves" for our new house. Among things that we ended up compromising on was a deck. We imagined a large outdoor space for sitting/grilling and our circa 1964 house offered... a concrete slab. Sigh. Enter Dorner Decking and Renovations. We contacted several decking companies for ideas and estimates, and Dorner was the best on pricing and what was offered for our budget. Our investment has resulted in a large deck with a combination of pressure treated wood, trex posts and metal, as well as lighting. They were able to incorporate storage underneath the deck, which another company had told us would not work. From start to finish, this process was about 7 weeks, with 5 days for the actual build. The team was professional and great to work with, and as a bonus played classic rock while they worked, which was a nice contrast to the Sesame Street playlist I am usually forced to listed to during the day. If you want or need a deck, Dorner is the only one I'd call. Great to work with, down to the smallest detail. This is all about you, and what they can do to make you happy. They pay attention to detail, and the deck has a finished look. Too bad in in the back; this is something you want to show off. It looks that great. In addition they are fast .
