After the storm January 2024 with 8 foot dropping in the greater West Seneca area. A week later with the melt we discovered a few of gutters had pulled away and a couple of wind driven siding needs. I contacted Mitchell and spoke with Faith in the office on Monday Jan 29, to be told someone would get back top me in the next couple of days. Wednesday Jan 31, 4:45pm I get a phone call from Mike Buffalo Roofing, could they stop in a few minutes as they had just finished a job close to me. 10 minutes later 3 trucks, 1 trailer & 6 men arrive and correct the damage. They did not have enough gutter hangers to complete the job and said someone would be back sometime in the week to finish up. Thursday Feb 1, literally at 8 am a Buffalo roofing truck pulls into the yard. 2 men are up on the roof before I can coat up and make my way outside, finishing the extra hangers. I could not be more pleased! Great service! Terrific follow through! Not what you hear about most roofing companies! Many thanks.

It went from the worst-looking house on the street to the very nicest! Jeremy was exceptional and always responded to questions and some changes I made. and helped me select the perfect colors and matching roof tile. I had a piece of siding come loose after a windstorm, and it was fixed without question. Mann Construction also repaired a window sash after the tenant used a window as a door to sneak someone into the house. Mann construction fixed it right away, and the charge was absolutely unbelievably inexpensive. Absolute professionalism and straight shooters.

My husband and I just moved into our forever home when we realized there was a leak coming in. My husband calls Mann construction and speaks with Jeremy who sets an appointment right away. I was impressed from the start as Jeremy not only showed up, but he was early and prepared. He did a thorough investigation of my roof to determine the issue. He was able to determine that I did not have the appropriate roof system up (I have a low sloped roof) and gave me multiple options to fix it. No other company even mentioned that I didnt have thr appropriate roofing system. Right after doing the physical part of the quote, he sent it to me right away! Now I had several roofers say they woukd send me the quote and then they ghosted me. At this point I was sold and nothing was done to the roof yet. Jeremy got us scheduled right away and the day of the work, the crew was early. The crew was extremely respectful of my home and did their best to cover/protect/clean the mess (I needed a partial tare off). The crew did thr work quickly/efficiently and they addressed all of my issues and were very friendly. I can't say enough positive aboit my experience. I would highly recommend for services.

Hired for gutter repair work…read more CW construction replied quickly. They came out and gave me an estimate where a competitor wanted to come out and do the work but wouldn't give me a ball park number first. Others didn't respond. The weather caused the appointment to be pushed multiple times (snow and high speed winds which is what caused the damage in the first place), but the work is done and the gutter appears very secure now. Pricing seemed reasonable for the time and materials used. They were friendly and open to various payment options. The estimate came slightly under the quote, (rounding distance so very slight) which is always nice. Notes: I know it's hard being a contractor and taking calls while working, but more prompt notifications about appointments being moved would be nice. Communication wasn't timely but I had the sense that there wasn't a home office fielding work, so I'm certainly more understanding. Hard to be timely when you're dangling from roofs trying to get work down before the next storm wave. They were certainly better than some other contractors I recently worked with.

When the insurance adjuster came to review the claim, Collingwood was there to make sure the claim covered the repairs. When they opened the roof, rafter damage was found. Larry gave us some suggestions to use existing siding to replace the damaged area and add an accent along the bottom with Versetta Stone. The additional cost was well worth the investment to the curb appeal of our home. Many of our neighbors commented on how nice our house looked.

I went to the Buffalo Home show this year, in part, because I wanted to find a roofer to help with…read morea pesky leak in our roof. I met with Collingwood Construction, explained my problem, and asked if they would be willing to come to my home to give me an estimate. I was unsure of the scope of work and was quite upfront about that. I didn't know if I needed a complete lower roof or just a repair. They enthusiastically assured me that no job was too small and would be happy to give me an estimate. After the home show someone called me to set up the appointment. Good start in my book. They then followed up with a letter confirming my appointment, provided information regarding the services they offered, and even provided references. Great. This is where things got a little funky... A few days prior to the appointment I received a call from a woman confirming the appointment and then asked if my husband would be present. Um, what? Yes, she asked if my husband would be present. Had the shoe been on the other foot and a man set up the appointment would they ask if his wife would be present? I doubt it. I informed the woman that my husband would be out of town, I owned the home, and the title and mortgage was only in my name. Why would I need my husband present? She backpedaled a little and said it was helpful to have everyone on the same page. I assured her he trusted me completely to make the decisions and as a real estate broker I know more about homes, structures, and repairs than he did. She said that was fine and that we were all set for our upcoming appointment. The day of the appointment, about an hour and a half prior, I received a call asking if I was going to be home for the estimate. I said "yes". I actually had to rearrange my schedule and turn away an appointment to make sure I had enough time dedicated for the estimate. Then the man on the phone asked me to describe the roof problem again. I, again, relayed the issues we had been having. He mentioned he remembered me from the home show and even remembered I was a real estate broker. He then said it did not sound like a very big job, they were really busy, East Aurora was far away from Getzville (where they are located) and that he was not going to show up for the estimate. He then said goodbye and hung up. I was shocked. I can't imagine treating any potential client like this. What's more is if you didn't want the work you could have cancelled any time within the two weeks prior when we scheduled. I have to wonder if the fact my husband was not present weighed into his decision to not show up. Being in real estate I refer a lot of work to contractors, roofers, etc. I've not had the best feedback from my clients with regards to roofers recently which is why I was at the home show hoping to connect with a couple new ones I could refer. I would NEVER recommend this company for any work, EVER. They were dismissive to me as a woman and completely disrespectful of my time. Avoid this company.

The roof started leaking at the vent pipe location. They first sent a guy who, instead of taking responsibility, completely denied there was any problem with the roof and said the vent pipe itself was the problem as it was rusted. We spent a $100 on getting the vent pipe checked out by an HVAC technician, who told us that the pipe was fine - no issues. So, I had to climb on the roof with a garden hose and run water on the roof to show that it was because of bad roof installation - I sent JP the video of the problem (the flashing of the vent pipe was not properly meshed with the shingles), and only then they agreed to fix it. The second problem is with the gutters, which are still not fixed. There is a gap between the new gutters and the roof, which is letting water to come through the gap. I have been trying to get hold of the person - they have promised to come 4 times over the last month but still have not fixed the problem. I have stayed home from work a couple of times just for it, and they did not even inform me that they were not going to make it that day. All in all, a very bad post-install service - a complete lack of professionalism!

On this visit I heard a strange banging outside the second story bedroom and realized that the flashing under the eve had come off and was hitting the power cable coming from the pole to the house. Mom is 88 and I'm not a spring chicken either, so the thought of finding a giant ladder and trying to fix this was out of the question. I had remembered that Robert's did the siding in the 90's, the garage roof in early 2000, and put 2 new windows last year. They did beautiful work each time, so I decided they should be my first call. I explained my situation to Sarah and she immediately hooked me up with Jerry. He remembered my Mom and her house and said "I got a few guys in the neighborhood, I'll send them by this afternoon"! What incredible service!!! Twenty minutes after talking, two great Techs were in Mom's driveway! They searched the bushes and found all the parts that had fallen off and then re-attached them. They then went and made sure all the other pieces were secure. Less than a half hour later, the problem was solved! I talked with the techs about two areas where the siding had gotten damaged by the trees and they said they could see if they could find some matching siding. I didn't think it could be possible almost 30 years after it was installed. This morning they showed up and fixed the damage and you can't even tell where it was! Beautiful work! Great Service!
