Cary (the owner) came in with the first of several estimates. Of the contractors I contacted, he best understood what I wanted. My house had rotting window frames, uneven bad-looking shake shingle siding that was long past the day I should have done something about it. A house down the street had the look I wanted, and Cary quoted me the price. I also asked about replacing my front and side doors. The siding color I wanted was a special order, so I had to wait a couple weeks for it to be made. It was well worth the wait. Lifetime supplied a brand called "Perfection" and it is truly perfect siding. The siding sections lock together in a way that I don't think even a hurricane would loosen them. All the rotted wood was replaced with Azek trim. The result is my 70-year-old run-down house now looks like a new build. The doors that leaked cold air during the winter are gone. I am very satisfied.

Be wary as they could have fleeced me for $4,500 instead of the $400 that would be needed to fix all the windows!!!

They came out and gave me an estimate where a competitor wanted to come out and do the work but wouldn't give me a ball park number first. Others didn't respond. The weather caused the appointment to be pushed multiple times (snow and high speed winds which is what caused the damage in the first place), but the work is done and the gutter appears very secure now. Pricing seemed reasonable for the time and materials used. They were friendly and open to various payment options. The estimate came slightly under the quote, (rounding distance so very slight) which is always nice. Notes: I know it's hard being a contractor and taking calls while working, but more prompt notifications about appointments being moved would be nice. Communication wasn't timely but I had the sense that there wasn't a home office fielding work, so I'm certainly more understanding. Hard to be timely when you're dangling from roofs trying to get work down before the next storm wave. They were certainly better than some other contractors I recently worked with.

I received an estimate from another company last year which was about $5-6,000 higher than what I was seeing online for this area. So this year, I called AVA. Adam came over, looked at everything and gave me an estimate that was right on the money. He explained everything - how much gutter I would need, how many downspouts, special color options, installation - everything. I received the estimate the next day and could not believe what a good price they gave me. The job was completed the following week The house looks beautiful - and I now have new gutters that exactly match the house trim, large enough to handle the weather the house gets `AND GUTTER GUARDS!!!! Unfortunately, I spent $30k for a new roof, including new sheeting, only to discover that they…read morewould use a really poor subcontractor to execute. Ava had to come back to fix the issues we (as homeowners) uncovered, like: -used finishing nails instead of roofing nails in high wind areas -not tarring over exposed nails -had rippling of shingles in the back of the house -ridge vent didn't get added to the full roof -broke a beam and originally used a 2x4 on one side, didn't even notify me that this happened. -didn't cut soffits where they were supposed to -put feet through our ceiling in 2 areas and I discovered it on my own They fixed all these things properly and quickly, but only after I called to explain the same sub contractors they sent back originally, didn't do a good job fixing some of them. So then I asked for their actual internal installers to come out and fix. When they did that (sent Billy), the craftsmanship was much better. Now, 4 months after installation, my brand new bathroom vents are blowing air back in and not as strong anymore. We discover it's because of the way they installed the the roof vents. The grates are pushing up against the opening so they can't open fully. I'm beyond frustrated that poor installation caused all these issues to appear! Although Ava has come out each time, if I was an uneducated home owner, I would not necessarily be able to find these issues and push to get them fixed. If you choose to use them, make sure it's not a subcontractor doing the work and that they are using their internal team.

This year, we had our roof replaced. After the first day and the removal of the old roof, you would not have known such demo work was done, the yard was that clean. The workers took care to protect shrubs and other garden landscaping. I work from home, but it would have been fine if they had played a radio while they worked - and maybe they did - I didn't hear one, so aside from the nailing, hammering and banter between them, it was fairly quiet. We received a free estimate that was right in the ball park. They even offer a 3% discount if you pay within ten days. Fortunately, you seldom need to replace a roof, but if you are in the market for a roof, be assured this business is reputable and hires only the hardest working people. They must be doing something well, this is Besroi Roofing & Siding's 50th anniversary in the roofing & siding business. I am happy to recommend this reputable company.

No advance notice when they were coming to replace my shingles. There were two gentlemen and one…read morewas very rude and demeaning. They didn't let me know when they were done and left before checking a roof vent. Besroi also replaced gutters. Where I used to have two at the front of the house they changed to one, and now water doesn't properly drain. In the back yard they changed the direction of one of the gutters saying it would be better. It wasn't. I have standing water very close to the foundation of the house and now I have to pay to have a drainage system installed. The company doing the drainage said it was a direct result of the downspout direction and not being properly pitched. My calls to Besroi were not returned. I have lived here 35 years and never had this issue with water in these areas until they replaced/moved the gutters.

Jake had an excellent presentation - They were the lowest bidder - The roof looks good and I have not had any issues with it. - Their "A" team came out to correct some issues (the flashing looked like it had been installed by a 4th grader) The Bad: - I was told that a PM would be onsite the entire time. In reality he was on site for maybe 10% of the project - My project was sub-contracted out to a another team and I was NOT informed of this. This became a major problem when I started having issues and could not talk to anyone (the subcontractors did not speak english). Note that Buffalo Fresh Roof is NOT the company you are signing with. The contract is actually with Bors Pros Construction - Within an hour on the first day, the protective tarps had come down and there was debris raining down on my deck and flower beds. When the PM showed up at the end of the day, he said that this could not be helped. Of course, that is garbage - they wouldn't put the tarps up if they didn't have a purpose. Also, this is not what I was told in pre-sales. As a side note, I saw the same sub-contractors working on a project down the street for another company a few weeks later. There were no problems with the tarps on that project. - The roofers decided to try to do a u-turn in my lawn and got stuck (I still have the ruts). They then gave me attitude when I refused to try to pull them out using my truck. - I have damage to my gutters, deck, flower beds and lawn. - I am still finding nails around the perimeter of the house To be fair, the PM did knock off the additional cost incurred in replacing some of the plywood. It wasn't worth what I am going to have to spend in the spring to fix my yard, flowerbeds and lawn - I just wanted them gone.
