Byob establishment: [[HIGHLIGHT]]As you first walk in it gives me basement vibes. That can be a good/bad thing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is extra small. There is no place to wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The high top chairs are not made for people with hips or larger butts. They are uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My friend and I were sat near the restroom with the heat blowing right on us. Not complaining about the warmth of the place but a bit bothersome with it blowing directly on you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Teiana was nice and came in a timely manner. We had no issue with service. The rating is strictly on the food. The menu doesn't state it but the entrees do come with 2 sides. We shared the Jay's trio. My friend ordered an a la carte lobster and I added a side of Mac and cheese. We ordered the lamb chops med well. They came out well done and a bit tough to cut. The salmon was bland. Unbeknownst to us, they poured an Alfredo sauce over the mash potatoes. The sauce was good but would've preferred on the side. The shrimp was seasoned well. The Mac and cheese was 3/5. We tried the peach cobbler and definitely do not recommend because when did jelly, compote, or whatever it was start getting used in cobbler??

Me and my husband went up here for a little date night. It was his decision to pick and might I say this place was wonderful. It's very small but the food is so big. The service was so good. The manager was coming over to check on us the recommendations that she gave us for food was good and the oysters OMG, the oysters Was so good.

Decided to slide here on a Saturday afternoon and overall this place was pretty cool for the most part! I ordered Red Snapper dinner with Mac and cheese and Collard Greens! Red snapper was pretty good and so was the Mac and cheese!! The greens were a lil too spicy and salty that was the only bad part! I liked the fact that this place is byob and they serve complimentary mimosas! The service was pretty cool and the food didn't take long at all. I will definitely be back!!!

Went while visiting friends in the city, ended up inviting our family that were also in town. This venue is new, no one had tried it. They're trying to be upscale but fell flat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Chairs are wobbly & hazardous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was so unprofessional it was awkward. She literally sat down at a hightop behind our table to take our order. Prices are too high. Custom lemonade were a joke for $9. I ordered a pineapple lemonade & it was horrible. Not sure how you mess up lemonade. Others were disappointed with their but I was only one to send mine back. Food choices were made were half & half. They ran out of fish so only one guest could order. Out of two salmon orders, one was good & the other must have been frozen. It came out a long time after everyone else's & was not prepared or presented the same, didn't get photo. Greens were inedible and way too salty. Egg rolls, Sweet potatoes & Macaroni & cheese were delicious. I stayed safe with shrimp & my husband enjoyed his jersey pasta dish. 20% Gratuity is too much for the basic service we were given. But we were a table of 6 so we understand the hike. I would not return.

This was my first visit to Truffle, and unfortunately, perhaps my last. It was on my radar as I have dedicated most of my dining out to explore Chicago's best Black owned restaurants and bars. It was Truffle's turn to dazzle me and my partner with amazing southern-inspired cuisine. But my real-life experience was less than amazing. I will give Truffle 2 stars: one for excellent friendly service and another for presentation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entering the establishment, you'll find it quite cramped with no immediate place to wait for your table[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We opted to sit at the bar. BYOB, so no fancy cocktail offerings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar seats were quite uncomfortable as was the frigid temperature we endured being next to the large windows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now back to the food. After scanning their offerings, I was drawn to the absurd and astounding price of 6 whole chicken wings at the cost of $30!!!! After looking at the price points on the entire menu, consensus between my partner and I that these prices would be indicative of a fine dining experience on Chicago's Gold Coast somewhere. I shook my head, then we ordered a side of greens, and one order of Buffalo shrimp (5 medium sized shrimp) which came with overly salted fries. We sent back the fries and were accommodated with unsalted fries. Nothing else was ordered. After the tax, tip and gratuity for two items (an appetizer and 1 side), the bill totaled to just over thirty one dollars! Needless to say, Truffle, thanks but no thanks.

Really good food! Everything was delicious, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Taya's service was impeccable! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is kinda small but the flavors were really on point.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I love Black-owned businesses My sister and I just finished church and were looking for a place to get something to eat. This new restaurant called Truffle was suggested, and it just so happened to be in the area I used to live in, so I was excited to try it out. The location is a nice size, almost Café style. The interior is sleek black with tables for two, but it can easily be put together if you have a larger group. They have a small bar, and the restroom is clean. They had one staff who was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. The prices were decent, not too expensive. My sister got the salmon sliders, which she enjoyed. I got the chicken and French toast with a side of breakfast potatoes and eggs, which were good. The waiter asked me if I wanted strawberries on my French toast, which I was happy to accept; I would note that it was strawberry jam and not strawberries. Another interesting note was that they did not have ketchup or coffee, but they did have orange juice, hot sauce, and ranch. If ever in the future, I would suggest they add coffee to their menu. It is a trendy item, as is ketchup. All the food was seasoned very well, and I even met the chef. It was a very nice first experience. I would try out Truffle again, and I genuinely hope this business does well. Try Truffle if you're in the area and would like something different in Pilsen. On the first experience, solid 3 1/2 out of 5

I ordered DoorDash and got the chicken Alfredo with fried chicken. It came with a piece of bread and everything was delicious ! Super crispy chicken and well flavored Alfredo. HUGE portion !

The food was Awesome ad the service was Amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Ambiance was off the chain[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . And the young man that was seating us make it a special day for my sister birthday.

It's very clean and modern. The food was amazing. I started off with a peach lemonade/tea drink that was very good. I cannot remember the name, but it was spirit free. Next, I got the collard green dip. This is a must try when you go. Its so cheesy and delicious. It was perfectly seasoned. For my entre, I got the smother pork chops. OMG I did not expect that food to be so good. IDK what they seasoned that gravy with, but it was fire. The porkchops were delicious, and I loved the seasoned rice that it came with. My only complaint was that the kitchen moved very slowly on the night that I went. It took forever for my food to come out; however, I will say the taste of the food made up for the how long it took to come out.

Front of the house staff was very nice and kind and I was seated right away. However once we ordered the wait time was so bad that my cousin had finished her appetizer and we waited an additional 30 minutes for my collard green dip which was very good by the way. Everything was served one at a time with long wait times in between. By the time I received my entree I was full. I took a few bites of the Chicken and Fish and everything else I took home. Literally as soon as happy hour was over everyone around us started receiving their food very fast. The food was ok a little salty (batter from the chicken, fish and tomatoes). In addition your staff Karen was not so kind and very forgetful of what we asked for. I know she seemed overwhelmed for the area that she had. Our sentiments were shared with the manager but that was it. The owner came by to check in but she just breezed by. I'm not sure that told her of our complaint but as fast as she went by asking was everything ok I dont feel like she would have been open to what we had to say. Overall it was ok, A few suggestions...and yes I would return because maybe today was an off day and everyone deserves a chance to get it right, During Happy Hour everyone should get the same level of service, and if a different menu is offered it should be offered to everyone upon arrival. Nothing is perfect and we understand that and gave grace by waiting and being patient. But these are some easy fixes and I look forward to seeing that on my next visit!

Music is pretty loud in this small space. We decided on the 3 entrees for 69.00 with a glass of wine. We chose the pepper steak, smothered chicken, orange chicken, catfish and spaghetti, and the bbq catfish. Overall the food was ok., The bbq fish was a little to fishy and the smothered chicken was heavily salted. The star of our 6 dishes was the fried piece of catfish. The food came out quickly but nothing was piping hot. The server was OK as well, he did exactly what we expect of a server nothing more nothing less. I will say next time I would take the drive to the West side location, to me the food choices are better as well as the service.

I was between that and the biscuits. I recommend the uncle honey as a drink because the flavors mix together so well! Also get the Millie's pudding (banana pudding) for dessert!
