    Jambalaya pasta
    Keon M.

The food was pretty good. The service was great. I had the jambalaya pasta which was really good. The music was pretty loud so if you're going there for conversation, you may not want to choose this establishment, but it has some great R&B music.

First time trying the new location and it was good! There is low lighting, which makes the restaurant feel more intimate and good for a date night. They have cocktails available, and a mix of food. I tried the hot honey chicken sandwich which had a nice crisp, and the fries were very well seasoned. I would come back to try the catfish next time! Service was good and food was out quick.

The new menu here DID NOTCOMETOPLAY!!! Now the old menu still exists, but it has the new hotness mixed in with it! I got to try some of those new items and I'm definitely glad they made this menu expansion! If you come here on a weekend night BE PREPARED FOR A WAIT!!!!! What I tried : Mac n cheese balls - these things were huge! Not only is the breading really good, the mac & cheese on the inside is perfectly creamy and delicious. It is deep fried perfectly! Hot honey Homestyle catfish- Who knew that hot honey would go so well on top of the fried catfish? Now the catfish on its own is tasty and fried well, but with that hot honey drizzle on top? Anejo lime pasta - my girl tried this and got it with both the chicken and shrimp. She couldn't stop eating it. It has a citrus flavor from the lime, while you get the tequila flavor from the anejo. Midnight Martini & Blood orange mojito- not only are the drinks good, they are strong and get you right. I only needed one! They make sure you get your moneys worth; no watering down drinks in here! When you go, tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!

It's a smaller than expected but the ambience was really nice. The service was very good and the food was great! I had the hot honey fried catfish, collard greens and make and cheese. Also a strawberry martini. Will go back.

Mimi's has a new location that now accommodates inside and outside seating. Tried different options today. The chips and salsa were so fresh. The Birria tacos are so darn delicious and the sauce is no joke either. Each bite was better than the last. The white peach italian ice was the perfect dessert. Alot of sweetness and the consistency is smooth almost like ice cream. I haven't had anything bad from here I'm looking forward to trying more menu items.

Mimi's Craft Kitchen has so much I want to try. Located in Little Italy (therefore parking can be tight) doesn't accept reservations. Went at 1pm and was able to get a seat as the restaurant is intimate. The server was great and patient because I couldn't make up my mind. The food was seasoned just right and reasonably priced! That Anejo Lime Pasta is a hit! I'll have to try the Bourbon Salmon so I know I'll be back.

What is the least busy time to visit? I'd like to avoid a long line.

I suggest ordering ahead online! I picked up an order last night around 6:30pm and there was several people waiting. But I placed my order online so I was in and out.

It was no wonder when we arrived that there was a line out the door. We waited around 45 minutes, and the bouncer was a really nice fellow who kept track of the numbers and people at the door. Upon entering, we were immersed in a dimly lit retro-style lounge. It was quite loud inside and packed as we walked to our seats. The server was great at taking our orders and offering suggestions. I opted for the French 75, which featured sparkling wine and mixed gin, brandies, and citrus. The drink was delicious, but STRONG. I don't know what they put in the cocktails in America, but I am always finished after one drink. Needless to say, we were all struggling to finish our own drinks. My favourite touch was the coasters, I ended up keeping all of them so that I can reuse them at my galentines event next year. The 'bisous' with the kiss on the other side is a perfect touch! I think the drinks are fairly priced for USD. I would love to return someday to try other drinks and bar bites, and also try their sister bar, Sparrow.

Imagine my shock when we didn't even make it past the bouncer because he was so rude, AS OTHER RECENT REVIEWS HAVE MENTIONED AS WELL! We had dinner nearby and walked to Bisous after, and saw there was a line of 5 or 6 people outside. We expected this as we knew Bisous is a first come, first serve bar. We were curious what the wait time would look like, so we approached the front door to ask a host or employee inside (we assumed there'd be a desk with an employee working it who could give us a wait time). We had no problem waiting, just wanted to see how long they estimated it would be! Before we could even fully open the door, the bouncer swung the door open from the other side and hit me with the door. I stumbled back a few steps and he looked at us and said, and I quote, "What do you want?". I laughed at first because I thought he was joking and putting on a tough guy act. He was not. We quickly explained we just wanted to see what the wait time was, and he said "don't you see there's a line outside?" We said yes, and explained we just wanted to know a rough estimated wait time. He just blankly stared at us while ushering us out. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer-service roles for a very, very long time. This encounter was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but he also hit me hard enough with the door to send me stumbling back, and then said nothing about it and continued to address us in a tone that was nothing less than annoyed and irritated. We didn't end up going inside because that encounter left such a bad taste in our mouths. I don't believe in spending my money at establishments that don't treat their customers with the bare minimum respect they deserve! Bummed we didn't get to experience it, as I'm sure it was lovely inside and I can only hope the rest of the employees were much more kind and accommodating, or at least able to answer a simple question. Fire your "bouncer" (??) and hire someone with some basic customer service and communication skills!!

We tried a couple of drinks and our favorites were the espresso martini and the n/a garden smash. The espresso martini is a must order! It's clear and made with chocolate and a coffee foam. We got to speak with the beverage manager Alex and he told us all about how they make all of their syrups and juices in house, the drinks do not contain any major allergens, and many of them have no added sugar. After my drink next door, I would be remiss if I didn't stop in. What I got was one of the more unique and interesting cocktails I'd tried! It was the Sick Day, and while I don't command the English language or my palate enough to do it justice, I can tell you that it was definitely a great sipper. The absinthe mist, despite being just that, has a way of doing that. I want to give some credit to the service. While the bar was shorthanded at the time, the barman on duty did his very best as a one-man show. Can't fault them too much, someone calls out sick last minute, and that's that. However, if there is something I can hold against them it's the heat! I'm not sure why, but the upon coming in, the place was HOT! After settling in, it became more bearable, but this is the kind of thing that sometimes persuades me to leave before I order anything.

I ordered truffle fries--nothing to write home about. Service was also spotty during my class. My server never brought what I requested. The stars are specifically for the floral class which was amazing! The instructor was absolutely fantastic and so informative. We were able to pick out stems and make a lovely arrangement.
