Definitely a hidden gem on Chicago's westside. We came here because of a recommendation and it did not disappoint. It was only a 15 min drive from our downtown hotel and parking on the street was super easy. Everyone was friendly and accommodating from the security at the door to our server. The food was tasty and fresh! The vibe was perfect. The DJ played great mix of hip hop rnb and old skool music. Can't wait to go back!

This place is a hidden gem! I'm definitely coming back. I got the seafood special and my friend got lamb chops. It was delicious!

I had a wonderful experience. I've dined in once, and did takeout twice. The decor and ambience is beautiful. It is a bit small on the inside, but the rooftop has a large area for seating. There are two fully stocked bars. We ordered the seafood sampler which came with lobster, salmon bites, and shrimp. We loved every morsel of this. We also had the salmon entree and the trio sampler that came with salmon, lamb chops, and chicken. It was wonderful. The second time we ordered the samplers again, and one person ordered a side of rice which was like a half of a tray of fried rice and wings. That justified the charge for the rice. The only issue is that the second time we ordered the takeout side of rice, we were given a tiny cup equal to the trio sample size, and it was like half the size of the previous side of fried rice. This is not cool especially considering the price. We had to send that back because it was not acceptable. However, they did take it back and filled the little bowl more, but it still was too small so we won't be ordering that again unless they change the price for the small portion of rice. Note, it is a bit pricey. However, I can tell they put alot of effort into building out their beautiful space, so I'm okay with the price. Yes, there is security at the door and they are checking for weapons. It's not ideal, but it is necessary, so I get it. I'm just glad that a beautiful quality restaurant is in that neighborhood as nice experiences can be had outside of the north side and downtown areas. Everyone I encountered was nice and welcoming. I did not sit at the bar.

Lamb and shrimp w grits and French toast w mimosa

The food was very good from the French toast to the grits w scallion and the lamb chop and shrimp for the Sunday brunch special $30. That comes with mimosa. The menu is touch less and QR. cool to prevent germs from spreading. They also give you take out silverware that's wrapped so it further helps with germ prevention thank you. Pierre was the face of the place bc as soon as we walked in, he greeted us and he was so friendly and kind and open-minded. He made us feel like home. His job was to also make sure we didn't come in with weapons like knives or guns and had to pat us down. He also had to look at the bags. None of that bothered us because we understand it's for safety and he was very sweet about it and very respectful. Taneka is a top notch owner who really cares about her business and her employees doing a great job. I was very impressed with her managerial style. She is very welcoming and her mindset is that she wants everyone to feel like Home here. And I appreciate our waitress Kila for being nice to us and giving us a positive experience at the end. So the food... oh wow the GRITS ... the best ever!! The flavors with scallion on top and every bite was so good. Even someone who didn't like grits loved TNTs grits. The lamb chop was very flavorful and done just right. The shrimp was fresh and grilled just right too w some Cajun seasoning which went real well w the grits. BTW Taneka said they will be giving out free food to veterans Monday Memorial Day 5/26/2025 and the beautiful rooftop will be open! What an amazing thing for this beautiful owner to give to our veterans and to the Austin community. Love it. Live DJ today and he was very good to have some nice throw back music from the 80s to 90s also. Just know that all checks will include an 18% tip on the bill so don't pay extra unless you want to add extra. I understand why they do that as default so don't be upset bc a few rare patrons might not tip the hard working wait staff. I've been there too being a waitress. Parking is free on the street.

Food was great. Customer service was great. Vibe was great. I can't wait to return My lamb chops was sooo good. They were a good size. Drinks are really good. 10 stars. Definitely recommend Nice ambiance also.

We stopped in before going to a Maze concert downtown. There were 8 of us dining in. They were very friendly and accommodating even tho our party was late and staggered in at different times. So I can definitely appreciate the hospitality, I know that can be frustrating on a Saturday. Thankfully, they gave us grace. Anywho, our server was a nice young lady who was dealing with 2 big parties, and she stayed pleasant with both parties. She was assisted by 1 of the owners, which was helpful too. The menu is short and to the point. We ordered alot of it. There were mixed opinions on the food. Seafood sampler was a hit, burgers were a hit, 1 person liked their seafood pasta, 1 didn't. My lamb chops were cooked the perfect temp, but needed a little charring. The mashed potatoes were a HARD NO!!!! I want the chef to go back to the drawing board with those. NO!!!!!!! The wings were good, I heard, salad was big and fresh. Drinks were ok, they could use a little more kick to them for the price. I would like to experience the rooftop in the summer and maybe go back for burgers and drinks. It's a vibe. They need to tweak a few things, but they have great potential, and hopefully, they'll get there! I'd go back.

The food by Wanda was great and the ambiance was cool too. The welcome was polite from the security guy who had to check us. Stinkiest disposition EVER was from the bartender who rushed to get a menu and some bread for us. She was slow to take our order, had to be waved down for the next & 3rd. Needless to say the drinks had way more thick lemon slice than drop and she gave me sugar instead of salt rim. I was hoping that the Hispanic bar hero that was there when I was on tour with Black Foodies would serve us. NO!

!! Do Not get the Calamair it was fried to hard and in old grease. The other food was good and the drinks was good., The service was ok they need to work out something like having a few more servers, and give the Door man some coffee or something because sitting there nodding doesn't look good, !! I will not Post those pictures of the Brother. THE Owner was very Nice and Welcoming us into there Restaurant.

She absolutely fell in love with the place and said she was having a great birthday. She wasn't planting seeds, I swear, but our server, ever the professional, said he'd take care of us. And he did, punctuating our dinner with a wonderful dessert with a birthday candle. Speaking of candles, the focaccia appetizer came out with a lit candle that melts a tasty, buttery dipping sauce. I had work done at the dentist earlier, so I had a hard time eating. Every bite was painful, but I heated up our leftovers and fell in love with my rigatoni with vodka sauce all over again. Yum. The only drawback is the prices. We're not rich, but we love a great experience. We understand that an experience like that comes with a price, so we'll be back as much as we can.

The good: Salad was amazing with bits of nicely cooked pork belly mixed in and the salad dressing is to die for Focaccia bread was very good but nothing special but the bone tarrow butter was fantastic and carried this bread. Brussel sprouts were flavorful but greasy and overcooked... Beef cheek ragu noodle dish was heavy yet tasty.. Rib eye steak done medium rare was fatty and very very chewy so this was a complete fail, but seasoned very well...extra 10 bucks for some dipping sauce for the steak but worth getting to elevate the steak...Definitely don't do any steak under medium here... Lemon sorbet was the true winner of the night...Delicious without being too tart..... Overall like I said, not worth the $250 price tag before tip...._

The food started with a complementary potato soup which was flavorful and lovely. We got a round of drinks and one of our party didn't care for her drink and it was replaced no question. We had the flat iron steak, the chicken, and the salmon and each entree was wonderful. The proteins were all very tender and juicy. I was also very pleased with the salad that came first which was lightly dressed and very seasonal. We finished our dining experience with a slice of cheesecake. It was a nice cap to the end of a wonderful meal. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion - I would love to come back and try some of the other items on their menu.

Perilla is a tastefully decorated restaurant, both loungey and rich, but still makes you feel like the joint is all for you. You know, 5 star service is such a lost art, it makes you forget how much you miss it when all of a sudden it happens to be right in front of you. Ricardo, our bartender, what a gem. Forget about the perfectly made drinks that were served to us. Ricardo made us feel right at home with his kind disposition and friendly demeanor. But it doesn't just stop at Ricardo. Everyone was absolutely fantastic. We could have been served 7-11 sushi at this point and I still would have left 5 stars. Food time. The kimchi pork dumplings were an absolute flavor bomb and that parmesan broth gave the dumplings a little extra kick that took it to the next level. Plus, I love when the dumpling wrapper has a little chew to it and isn't this soft mush that dissolves in your mouth. The beef fat frites were a nice treat as well. They were not extra or over the top in anyway. But you can tell when something is done well and correctly, just like these fries were. The Premium Steakhouse Set, in my opinion, is all two people need to enjoy this very special experience. All the accompanying condiments were exceptional on their own and could have functioned as their own course. The Japchae glass noodles were a stunner. The real sleeper was the chopped lettuce greens tossed in their chili vinaigrette. Could have eaten 20 bowls of those lettuce greens. Sadly, I forgot the name of our server who cooked and cut our meat for us. She really added to the experience. She expertly prepared our food while maintaining a fun and pleasant conversation with us. The meat itself, my goodness, tender, smoky, quality-forward, and perfect served with the condiments. I had just left the hotel across the street and wasn't exactly sure what I was in the mood for. I've walked past this place plenty of times but had never gone inside. Today felt like the right opportunity. I wasn't looking for a full meal, just a couple of small plates and a chance to unwind. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed. Even though I arrived about an hour before closing on a Saturday night, it was still busy, which is usually a good sign. The hostess greeted me right away and told me the wait would only be a few minutes. My server was excellent and made me feel welcome from the moment I sat down. I ordered the Brussels sprouts, the Korean fried chicken, and another appetizer that is admittedly difficult to describe, but it was delicious. Overall, the food was very good. The Brussels sprouts and the other appetizer were the standouts of the meal. The only dish that didn't quite measure up for me was the Korean fried chicken. It wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't have the same wow factor as the rest of the meal. That's really the reason for my three-star rating. Had I skipped the chicken, this easily would have been a four-star experience. The atmosphere, service, and most of the food were excellent. I just expected a little more from what should have been one of the restaurant's signature dishes.
