This is my new favorite dive bar. Wild Turkey 101 bourbon AND rye, obscure indie rock on the speakers, friendly bartenders. It's all you need! Cheap eats too read more

Drinks were good, the food was stellar, but they really do not give it away. If I hadn't had a few I probably would have taken my hunger home with me. But it really was a crazy good burger. Pretty sloppy. Service was great, place was chill. It was on the early side, I heard it gets louder later on, which is good or bad depending on what you're into. read more

We ended our Armitage crawl at Way Out. The drinks were pretty strong and in hindsight this may have been the place we should have started at. This spot is real spacious and while there were quite a few people here it didn't feel cramped. I'm not sure if this place usually gives punk vibes, but that was certainly the feel that night and it may be because a lot of the crowd was coming from Riot Fest. We didn't have any food, but after looking at other reviews, I'll definitely stop back in to grab some grub one day. read more

They're charging nearly $20 for a Philly cheesesteak that doesn't look at all like the picture. I was expecting a firmer more crunchy baguette with steak nice and seared as in the picture. The french fries were pretty bland and soggy, but I did get delivery so I can't really complain about that so much. The Philly cheesesteak did have decent taste but it was just too small for the price. read more

Why does it smell like sewage in there the past few months? I mean, observe food there, dudes.

We ordered takeout and ended up eating here- everything we got was delicious, and the food was ready as soon as we got there. The vibes were fun and it was a great place to spend time read more

Ok. Ok. Ok. Here we gooooo again. I left town because how much of a good time I have had here. The handsome bartender (Tyler I think) is soooo accommodating and patient. He wasn't he this time for some reason?!?! Anyhow, a new and more handsome bartender (Nathan?) told me about all his cool hobbies and our most in common is hobby horses. Who would've guessed Logan Square has a place for our kind! Finally seen and can't wait to see you with your most favorite pony. Cheers! read more

Underrated spot with deep booths and mood lighting. Pizza dumplings are amazing but weren't on the menu last time I was there. Nobody is talking about this burger, but it's solid. Beer list is curated. read more

BEWARE!!!!!!! Came in 12/11/2024 around 11ish pm for some $1 wing Wednesday The bar needs to hire more people... the bartender is busy making drinks/getting orders from the kitchen so you're just there...standing by the bar waiting to order some food or just to get acknowledged. The mistake that happened tonight could have been avoided if he had someone else helping him or he's just not focused on what he's doing. First off wings are ok. If you want some dry (sauce wise) cheap ok wings on Wednesdays these are it. Could be more saucy tbh... The ranch is definitely not my fave. I think there's dill in it. The ranch is thick...don't like dill, don't like my ranch thick. I'm glad me and my partner gave it a try though. Now at the end when my partner paid I saw the charge...$332!!!!!!!! for some wings? 20pc. Again bartender was busy we all make mistakes but this one was a costly one. My partner is really upset about it. the guy didn't even apologize he could have even comp half the wings for the BIG and COSTLY inconvenience... Things could have been handled more professionally or maybe this bar needs a new bartender who's compassionate or even a bigger crew. I know we aren't the only ones that would be upset if they got charged $332! for 20pc wings. Will we be back? Heck no! Now we wait for the refund. read more

Came here on a Saturday evening before a night out with friend's because we wanted something to sip on & quick eats. When we arrived, there weren't many people there, but it was ok since we figured the waits wouldn't be long for our food/drinks. Staff was courteous, friendly & efficient. Took our orders right away & we went to go sit in the back area by the pool tables to wait for our food. Food came in increments, but rather quickly. For some quick bar food, I was pretty impressed! Everything we had tasted really good & full of flavor. I've never had the pizza dumplings, but the dough consistency was just enough bounce & not too much as the filling was decently filled. I love nachos, but the nachos were just meh to me, it was good, but not the best. Philly cheese was phenomenal, full of flavor & nicely filled. Not too salty & just enough bread. Fries were also nice & crispy. & then the wings, wings are always something to try anywhere I go. Buffalo flavors balanced well with a hint of saltiness & just the right amount of crispy texture. Would definitely return here! read more

The interior is stunning. Food was good, but they forgot one of our side dishes. They fixed it quickly, though

Great service , nice atmosphere , food was very fresh , ordered wings and the special of the month and I was not disappointed , chef knows what he's doing, everything was packed with flavor, top tier , will definitely be back to try more food, read more

For bar food this is really solid, tad over priced. I dropped by and scooped the wings, fried garlic is a really nice extra touch, along with being super crispy and juicy. Would order again although the celery wasn't the right color. The deluxe potstickers are unlike any menu item I've tried before, really glad I went out on a limb and ordered them. The bar was pretty dead inside though lacking energy in read more

Service-Stellar. As someone that likes darker bars-Indeed. Food-No Notes Cocktails-Reasonable and Tasty and they have Sapporo on draft. Added another smash burger to my list of Chicago burger bars! This one reminded me of a combination of a few others I've had. Not the typical smash with crispy edges more like a full on double cheeseburger. Caramelized onions, pickles and a lot of sauce. I loved the bun and the burger was cooked great. A little too much sauce for me but I'm sure most love it. Definitely worth trying and the bar has a giant motorcycle painting which was a hit for me. My buddy had the Philly cheesesteak and said that was solid too. They have absinthe there in case you're wondering. I liked the vibe, dark and moody, chill on a Sunday. Good service and the bartender was friendly. Plenty of parking out front but we were on motorcycles. It's right by Giant, Scofflaw and a few other Logan Square restaurants and bars. You can't miss the neon sign. Enjoy! read more

Came here on a Friday night looking for some quick food and cocktails. I found it on Yelp and it was walking distance from our rental. The menu looked fire and it definitely delivered on expectations. It's a bar so they ID at the front and you have to order at the bar but can sit anywhere. We sat at the bar and ordered a round of cocktails, 2 double cheeseburger, curly fries and their famous pizza deluxe potstickers. The cocktails ( Space Face and Left Hand Path) were strong but well made. The cheeseburger was so damn good. It smash patty style and so filling. The curly fries came out hot, crispy and seasoned. The potstickers were good but slightly salty. The service was chill, which can be good or bad depending on your style but again it's a bar so don't expect table side restaurant service. read more

This is hands down my favorite bar in the neighborhood. The service is consistently friendly and attentive. The music is a range of psychedelic rock and I think I have yet to hear the same song more than once. I've been eating my way through the menu, the food has yet to disappoint . As a ranch snob I can confidently say the ranch here is top notch. You HAVE to try the cheese curds if you have the chance! I have so many good things to say about Way Out. Great addition to the Armitage Restaurant Row and Logan Square. We first visited during the pandemic lockdown and the hostess was very friendly and offered great recommendations. She even let me in the back to see their space. While we have not visited the restaurant, the space looked really cool and we can't wait to dine in. We tried- Pizza Potstickers (Pepperoni - Italian Sausage - Mozzarella - Marinara - Pepperoni Chili Crisp - Fried Garlic -Basil Oil). So good. I think this is the most original thing on the menu and it's such a trip. The outside is delicious and taste very much Asian (fried garlic, basil oil) but the inside is Italian with delicious marinara and pepperoni. This is probably the most original fusion item on any menu in Logan Square. Order them and enjoy them. To me, one is enough but you do you. Classic Double Cheeseburger (Lettuce - Tomato - Pickles - Onion -Dijonaise). A great, classic take on a burger. So good and a great burger option in Logan Square. Buffalo Waffle Fries (Buffalo Sauce - Ranch Drizzle - Parmesan - Chives). The order is pretty large and can be shared between two to three people. Crispy, cheesy delicious fried. Fried Cheese Curds (Wisconsin Cheese Curds - Ranch/Marinara). Crispy on the outside and squeaky on the inside. Left Hand Path (Tequila - Mezcal - Maraschino - Lime - Salt) and Beyond (Bourbon - Rye - Bitters - Cinnamon). Both delicious and well priced for the quality (order the double!). A great beer list of Logan Square and other local beers. read more

We walked in there and it was pretty vacant. At first we weren't sure if anyone was working, someone was at the bar and other were playing pool. We went at around 8:30. the bartender came after a couple minutes and had a great attitude and some funny jokes. The wings were pretty good!9/10. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was 8/10 & the cheese bites were a solid 9/10 ( but I love cheese). I also had a margarita 7/10. Overall, I would come back! A dressy casual perfect first date bar. This is the kind of place where you can sit in jeans and order a beer or dress up and get a great cocktail. There are booths, some high tops, a bar, and a room with a pool table. When I went, it was quiet in the early evening but got busy by 9ish. The drink I tried (something with tequila) was so good everyone with me ordered one after they tried mine. The menu has a lot creative bar food, if you're going for a more low key night but trying to stay sober. read more

Fun place with self service seating. The drag show is more of a burlesque/drag show. We had a great time. The drinks were well priced with cocktails averaging $12 and drafts (they have Sapporo on draft!) at $3. Super nice server named Elliott. For food we got load buffalo waffle fries with bleu cheese crumble ($14) and 5 pieces of stick icky (sweet and spicy) chicken wings (bone-in, the best way) that had spicy pickled celery ($5). They have $1/wing on Wednesdays and other deals on different days. The Buffalo waffle fries were yummy and a bit on the saltier side (bleu cheese) but good portion. The chicken wings were pretty yummy so definitely recommend those! Random fun was their vending machine towards the back of the place, pretty fun things inside and got some random mystery bags and grab bags. They also had a pool table! Can't express how rad this place is. Been supporting since their "Togo only" days during Covid. Menu is consistent, yet always offering new variations and items based on the season. Drinks are always icy cold/made with care, and the bartenders/staff are some of the best in the industry. Supporting the neighborhood/community could be enough, but this spot goes out of their way to build upon what makes Chicago great every time. Daily specials, Wing deals every Wednesday, and burlesque once a month that's CAN'T MISS. read more
