We ended our Armitage crawl at Way Out. The drinks were pretty strong and in hindsight this may have been the place we should have started at. This spot is real spacious and while there were quite a few people here it didn't feel cramped. I'm not sure if this place usually gives punk vibes, but that was certainly the feel that night and it may be because a lot of the crowd was coming from Riot Fest. Everything we had tasted really good & full of flavor. I've never had the pizza dumplings, but the dough consistency was just enough bounce & not too much as the filling was decently filled. I love nachos, but the nachos were just meh to me, it was good, but not the best. Philly cheese was phenomenal, full of flavor & nicely filled. Not too salty & just enough bread. Added another smash burger to my list of Chicago burger bars! This one reminded me of a combination of a few others I've had. Not the typical smash with crispy edges more like a full on double cheeseburger. Caramelized onions, pickles and a lot of sauce. I loved the bun and the burger was cooked great. A little too much sauce for me but I'm sure most love it. Definitely worth trying and the bar has a giant motorcycle painting which was a hit for me. My buddy had the Philly cheesesteak and said that was solid too. They have absinthe there in case you're wondering. I liked the vibe, dark and moody, chill on a Sunday. Great addition to the Armitage Restaurant Row and Logan Square. We first visited during the pandemic lockdown and the hostess was very friendly and offered great recommendations. She even let me in the back to see their space. While we have not visited the restaurant, the space looked really cool and we can't wait to dine in. We tried- Pizza Potstickers (Pepperoni - Italian Sausage - Mozzarella - Marinara - Pepperoni Chili Crisp - Fried Garlic -Basil Oil). So good. I think this is the most original thing on the menu and it's such a trip. The outside is delicious and taste very much Asian (fried garlic, basil oil) but the inside is Italian with delicious marinara and pepperoni. This is probably the most original fusion item on any menu in Logan Square. Order them and enjoy them. To me, one is enough but you do you. Classic Double Cheeseburger (Lettuce - Tomato - Pickles - Onion -Dijonaise). A great, classic take on a burger. So good and a great burger option in Logan Square. Buffalo Waffle Fries (Buffalo Sauce - Ranch Drizzle - Parmesan - Chives). The order is pretty large and can be shared between two to three people. Crispy, cheesy delicious fried. Fried Cheese Curds (Wisconsin Cheese Curds - Ranch/Marinara). Crispy on the outside and squeaky on the inside. For food we got load buffalo waffle fries with bleu cheese crumble ($14) and 5 pieces of stick icky (sweet and spicy) chicken wings (bone-in, the best way) that had spicy pickled celery ($5). They have $1/wing on Wednesdays and other deals on different days. The Buffalo waffle fries were yummy and a bit on the saltier side (bleu cheese) but good portion.
