I recently stayed at this property during a business trip. If you've never tried "Tru by Hilton", it has a very utilitarian sensibility...kinda sorta like Hilton meets IKEA! Nothing fancy but has most amenities any business traveler would need including ample free parking and walking proximity to the many restaurants on 24th street. My only gripe is NOT having a full size ironing board...having only a table top one which is super difficult to actually iron a shirt! Forgivable but annoying for me! Otherwise I'd stay here again while in Ogden! read more

The Tru hotel rooms are very utility like. No closet, no safe, little storage room and a very small tabletop ironing board. If you're a business traveler and need to iron a shirt...good luck! If your room faces the street, you will likely not be able to sleep through the night. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper and I was woken up throughout the night for every loud motorcycle and Rice burner car. The hotel knows that it's so bad, they leave a package of earplugs in your room with a note telling you how loud it's gonna be. I guess it was a good experience to check out the Tru hotel but I don't think I would stay there again. read more

The room and accommodations were fine and staff was helpful. But I've rarely had such a noisy room. My room faced 25th street and it was virtually impossible to sleep. Trucks and motorcycles all night long kept me awake. It was a miserable experience. Maybe the rooms on the other side of the property are better, but stay away from 25th street. read more

Busy. Busy. Busy. The rooms are copy/paste from any other Tru by Hilton. Nothing notable there. The location is decent. Walkable, with some restaurants and ~4 bars in close distance. Good amenities: games, outdoor fire, pool, gym, pool table, free breakfast, etc. Accessing the parking lot is a pain. Our GPS had us enter via a narrow, one-way alleyway. Inconvenient for trucks & larger vehicles. Parking was a nightmare too, with few spots available. Maybe we showed up during an event or something, because check-out at the counter in the AM had a long line, breakfast was littered with people, and the lobby was rarely empty late into the evening. It also seems like they are understaffed. read more

Absolutely great hotel! The place has spacious rooms, nice communal soaps etc. electric black out curtains, the biggest gym i have ever seen in a hotel and more than usual choices for breakfast, and the beds were comfortable! We will absolutely be back! read more

This is our first time staying in a Tru, and my first time staying in a Hilton property for a while. Tru is geared towards the younger generation - if you expect more chairs and traditional amenities in your room, the Home2 Suites side of the building is probably more your liking. Room was huge, and had blackout curtains. Nice fitness center, pool, and laundry room too. Huge lobby areas for both sides of the hotel - pretty decent breakfast area too. Only hiccups were communicating with housekeeping, but the front desk did the best they could to fix things. Only bad thing is the construction around the hotel - they need to proactively announce it on their website. read more

This is attached to Home 2. I arrived at 1pm and had to hang out in the lobby until 3 when they check you in. I am a platinum HH member and that was a surprise-but perhaps no rooms were ready. People who came in after me got a room. No water or comps that being an HH member receives. I've checked in and honestly there literally isn't a closet or a safe. If you are staying there and need to unpack or have valuables I'd recommend going elsewhere. The room was clean and the location safe. The staff was pleasant enough. Just not what I expect from that brand but my last few stays have been similar treatment so I guess the brand has gone hill. The other thing id recommend is not joining the HH program since they get your personal info and don't treat you any better for receiving it. read more

I really like this hotel. The vibe is young and fresh, the room was clean, cute and accessible (1st floor), and breakfast was included and tasty. Staff was really nice - would definitely stay here again if traveling through. read more

I've stayed here twice and found it a nice place, but won't stay again. The cons outweigh the pros for me. Pros: 1. New, clean and modern 2. Friendly and helpful staff 3. Free breakfast (I didn't partake, but a good option) Cons: 1. Rooms that face 24th are noisy at all times of day from traffic. Getting an uninterrupted night of sleep is nearly impossible. 2. Rooms are small for the money 3. The towels are thin, scratchy and not pleasant to use. read more

we stayed at this hotel as we drove across country during the Christmas holiday. when we checked in they charged a $75 pet fee which was $50 higher than EVERY hotel we stayed in during the whole trip there and back. It was almost as much as the actual room rate. After we checked out I noticed a $22 miscellaneous charge and when I called them they said it was because a towel, wash cloth pillow case and blanket were damaged which is total BS. Also I should have walked out when they told me that the pet fee was $75 but was too tired. The room was nothing to write home about for the rate and it didn't even provide a basic coffee maker. Bottom line: There are many other lodging options in Ogden and I would recommend that you spend your money rather than this hotel, especially if you have a pet. This extra charge is just money grab. I wonder how many times they have done this to people and they just paid it. I am planning on disputing it with my CC company and will never stay at this property again when I visit Ogden, which is often. read more

Booked my stay way back in December 2021 for the Ogden Marathon on May 21st, 2022. I called in several times in advance (months and weeks) to get an idea of how the hotel would operate for the Marathon weekend since I would participating in it but no one could answer my questions about the breakfast and whether or not it would be available earlier for Marathon participants. This wasn't really an issue since I could just pack my own food but wanted to know for sure, however, about a month before my stay I called in to request an early check-in and late check-out so my wife wouldn't have to pack everything back in the car the day of the Marathon by herself and with our two small children and the lady I spoke at the actual hotel was very nice and said of course to both the early check-in and late check-out. Well here we are May 20th and I arrive at the hotel around 1pm to find signs everywhere saying late check-outs won't be offered and there will be a $50 fine for those that do check-out late so I mentioned to the concierge at the front desk if my late check-out would be validated but I was told no and that it's impossible that I was even offered to me because they were told months ago to not do it. I didn't try to push my luck but I'm not happy that my wife now has to pack up our car with my two children and might potentially miss me crossing the finish line as a result of them not allowing the late check-out they originally promised me. For the hotel itself it is a nice value hotel with a nice esthetic but the service is spotty and you can't take their word for anything. read more

I recently visited the Ogden area for my daughter's wedding. Since I would also be visiting with my son and grandchildren, I was in search of a comfortable, safe, affordable and convenient hotel. The accommodations also needed to be large enough for my son and I. It also needed a pool with hot tub for my grandchildren to enjoy when visiting with me. Because I had never set foot in Ogden before this visit, I would have to rely on the opinions, recommendations and referrals of other travelers to help me decide where to stay. I had stayed at Tru hotels before, so I was familiar with the general gist of the facility. Although Tru is advertised as a "suite" hotel, the rooms aren't truly "suites" by definition since there aren't separate bedrooms. Nevertheless, my son and I had sufficient space to stretch out and enjoy each other's company without being right on top of each other. Our beds were comfortable and the in-room entertainment was adequate. The hotel was clean and the staff was VERY friendly. The overall quality and comfort were good. Sadly, the free breakfast was a let down. Granted, it was included and my parents always taught me to NOT complain about free. However, if breakfast is important to you and you're making your decision based of the quality of breakfast, you may want to reconsider. On the other hand, it is included and one doesn't have to indulge. read more

Best service! Ever and it i mean...some cracks but king size bed with a microwave and a pool with a hot tub I mean that's a little bit crazy and a full size fridge, with plates and utensils. They put your tissues in a rose shape I can't believe people have it 1 star and not to mention when it's saint Patrick's day the pancakes are green with clover sprinkles absolutely amazing read more

Great hotel in Ogden. Rooms were big and clean, with very nice furnishings. Our room had a couch and a tv which were nice to relax with. Breakfast was ok, same meal both days, that's the only reason I'm eating 4 stars instead of 5. They have a pancake machine that's pretty cool though! Would stay here again. read more

Good pool but no milk for cereal, everything else good just no milk and I need my milk I'm lactose tolerant very tolerant

Hilton is our go to hotels when we travel. As a mom of two little kids I need my sleep (the little amount that I get as is) this place is right off the freeway so expect it to be loud all day and night long. If you can sleep with the sounds of a busy city you will be fine. On top of that the rooms being super narrow (I could barely fit my stroller in the room). The service was pretty good but the biggest down fall is they knew they where going to make a good amount of money for charging extra for late checkouts on the day of a marathon know good and well the guests wouldn't finish the marathon in time to check out at 11 o clock. We called in advanced to make sure that we could have a late checkout so that I wouldn't have to deal with packing up the car with two tiny humans. They said it wouldn't be a problem and didn't say anything about a $50 charge. So when we showed up and where told no to the late checkout without spending $50 we weren't entirely thrilled they wouldn't validate their word. So I packed up the car and checked out so that I could go to the finish line to see my runner finish his full marathon. I also didn't appreciate that the house keeper was listening to crude music (swearing and the N word) very loud while cleaning the rooms. Just over all not a good experience for how much you pay. Needless to say unfortunately we won't be staying at this location again. read more

I'm not a fan of this hotel. I wish I would have looked at the reviews on here instead of the ones on booking.com because this hotel is not comfort driven. The rooms are very small and they have "exposed closets" which make the small room look even smaller. The elevator was even out of service at one point during our stay. I've never seen so many pets in a hotel, which makes me question sanitation, and I'm just not a fan and would not choose this chain again. Positives: The bed was very comfortable and the lobby is nice and bright and the staff is pleasant. read more

Wow. For being a Hilton this place is certainly a letdown. I usually only stay with Hilton . Being it was a TRU , im not sure if this us the norm. And apparently this was on Their grand opening. Breakfast was terrible. They say till 9am. But i got their at 8:20 and they were cleaning up already with the leftover in a pan. Apparently with no chance of getting anything else . Because with the staff being to busy avoided me like i was an intrusion. Room was nice. Very clean . And the front end staff was very good. But the the price $$ and this one not meeting tje Hilton hospitality standards and would opt to tey someplace else. Who know i have 1 more night maybe they can change my mind . And i can edit my post . I will be visiting my grandkids in ogden on a regular basis now so hopefully i can find a better place to stay read more

While the hotel itself is nice and clean, the rooms along the 24th street side are extremely loud from traffic going/racing over the viaduct ALL night long. We went home a day early because we couldn't sleep, and I'm use to a snoring husband! read more

Eh! For a Hilton hotel, I was underwhelmed. It was clean with good service and all. I was disappointed that the room didn't have some expected amenities like a a dresser or something with drawers to put my clothes. It also didn't have a proper closet. For these reasons I was underwhelmed. read more

There are several groups including ourselves waiting for rooms 11/2 hours after check in time and no manager on duty. I don't blame the staff- id expect this hotel has poor management though. The hotel staff shared the info to contact the manager and it just called the front desk- where staff had no manager to reach out to. read more

Traveled here from CA for a visit and absolutely loved it. The front desk staff were very personable. The room was clean and quiet. Great location. Just all around a pleasant stay. Will definitely be staying there again. read more

I didn't get a chance to update my review from last year so I'm finally getting to do it now. I had a manager reach out to me from Tru after I had left my yelp review and apologize for the inconveniences I had while staying there. That's really all I wanted. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to help with my accommodations. This hotel definitely deserves 5 Stars. Next time I'm in Ogden, I'll definitely be staying here. read more

Hotel was OK. It was clean, and they claim the rooms are covid sanitized with stickers and placards. But this is questionable . Only say this because in the " continental " breakfast ( which is horrible even with covid standards) I see no interest in sanitizing tables ,counters, ext.. If you want to wat get there early because when it's gone it's gone and the staff avoids you like the plague Not very helpful or w en interested in helping you. So much for paying guest who want to sleep in if they want to eat a light breakfast. No coffee in the rooms. They tell you at the desk they provide it in the lounge 24 hrs. But that was not the case. When I ask they had no answer . Front in at check out was very nice and professional. I would not recommend this place for the price . Seems they try to hard at cutting cost in the wrong places to make it money well spent. read more

Clean place and great amenities. They had a lot of information available to guests on handling cleanliness and safety COVID guidelines, which was great. But the water pressure was so low that I felt dirty even after a shower. Our bathroom smelled like sewage for some reason as well. Management knew there was a cheer competition in the area and a cheer squad amongst the guest. They put most of them on the 3rd floor, and we (on the 2nd floor) could hear stomping, almost like they were doing their routine in the room off of furniture and shit. I would think that the first floor would have been a better option for them; oh well, we had one night free of stomping. Some of the staff is friendly. There was a woman there when I checked in, and she looked like she could have been part of management. She wasn't nice, and her short sandy brown hair was a mess. She stared without greeting and wore heels that looked like they were going to make her fall forward. I wish I had her name because she was not a good representative for the Hilton brand. All in all, it's not horrible. I had a great deal through hotels.com. We just chose a crappy time to be there, maybe. read more

The area is not the greatest but it's in walkable distance to Union Station and Historic 25th street. No carpet in the room so I liked that. The shower could have been cleaned better. There were a few hairs in there. The room is on the smaller side but they have a ton of outlets and plugs for charging all your devices which is greatly appreciated. The gym was nice and empty. The indoor pool is rather small and had probably 100 people. It was very crowded I didn't see a maximum occupancy sign. The free breakfast was a typical COVID hotel breakfast. They had a cheese omelet, French toast, cereals, oatmeal, some fruit and prepackaged muffins. Would skip this and try a local restaurant for breakfast. They have a pool table and some games in a room off the lobby. Overall, just for the night it was fine but wouldn't want to stay here for for longer than that. read more

Generally pleasant. Room a bit spartan in "normal" amenities such as a safe or coffee maker, but I found it a good night's rest. Liked the built-in bathroom night light and the hot breakfast was nothing to complain about. Short walk to restaurant s on 25th street. read more

Made a reservation a week in advance. Checked in online the day before per the app. Arrived at the hotel at 6:30pm and was told the room wasn't ready. It would be about 30 to 40 minutes. Okay, we went to dinner and returned at about 7:45. No room, were told they had 4 other people ahead of us and it could be another hour, at least. We left and went elsewhere. Won't be back. read more
