What's great for events is the ability to open large train station doors on the rear (west) side of the building because it connects to a beautifully finished patio. It's a dress up kind of place but you eat in a giant log cabin. I had Shrimp and my husband had the Elk Steak. I didn't try it but he said it was delicious and my dinner was too. For dessert we had coconut cake and Crème Brûlée my favorite dessert in the world I can never say no to it. It melted in my mouth and was divine. We got a Celebrity surprise too. I can see why this is a special place. A few small things that made the experience not perfect, which might sound minor but really did affect my evening. Sitting at a window table (gorgeous view!) was so cold! I should have dressed warmer. Ladies definitely wear warm shoes and bring a few layers. A glass of wine helped with this problem a bit. The chairs are weirdly tall off the ground (if I didn't have heels on my legs would have been dangling, and I am average height, I do not usually have this problem) and the tables were so low! When bought the tickets, there was no indication as to what was on the menu. One of the people in my group has a nut and shellfish allergy, but there was no where on the ticket purchase screen to note this. Normally, reservations would have this option to make sure they can prepare ahead of time. I took a chance and hoped they would ask this when we arrived. We came as a party of four to the Lady and the Tramp movie and the event was listed from 6:30-9:00 but doesn't mention when the doors would open. We arrived at 6:15 thinking that we could sit down and use the facilities before the movie started, but the doors were locked and there was no sign. Several other customers did the same and I assume they were under the same impression. Would have been helpful in the email communication to let customers know when the doors open so they aren't arriving too early and having to wait. When we sat down, the hostess let us know it was open seating and to not leave too many gaps, which is fine, but their setup was not exactly couple friendly. Each table could seat 3 people and since we were a group of 4, the 4th person had to sit in the next table, which felt a little disconnected. One small popcorn bag was placed for every 3 people, so if you had a 4th person in the group, they would have either shared with the group they came with or with a stranger. The menu was on each table, there were no ingredients or allergy mentions. The menu looked standard and the dishes listed don't typically have any shellfish or nuts. There were no announcements made when everyone arrived and no one to greet us other than the hostess at the front. We waited for a while and then at 6:52, the movie started. One the movie started playing, we noticed immediately that the speakers on the left side of the room weren't working. It was hard to hear the movie the rest of the night and I'm not sure if this was just a technical issue that day. When the food started arriving, we had one dish that had almonds and we had to ask the server to send it back because of the allergy. I asked if there were any more items on the list with shellfish or nuts, but they seemed confused at the ask and didn't know. This could potentially cause severe reactions and the Cinebites teams should take this in consideration. Luckily the salad was remade and no issues came up. When the movie was done, the staff came out with a microphone to thank everyone for coming and then had a parade of the staff. It was cool to see those that worked there to make things happen that evening. Now knowing they had a microphone, it would have been nice for them to welcome guests in at the beginning and given directions to those who have never been here before. While I know this is not to the same level as the other Movie and Dinner events out there, it was something new to try out and nice that Utah has something like this.

We had our wedding in March of this year at the 5th floor. It was a great experience. They worked…read morewell with every vendor we used and pulled it all off without any major issues! They coordinated all the decor setup, install, and take down (most of which they provided as part of the package for the wedding). Everything looked stunning and so many people commented on how great the venue was! The only small glitch we had was some of the items needed for the bar setup were late arriving so some of the drinks didn't get as much action per se but overall it worked out. everyone had an absolute blast and it was so stress free for myself and groom! This place is all inclusive in every way and I'd highly recommend using them for your big day!

However, after my fiancé and I had such a negative experience, I feel it's important to share our story so others can be aware before considering this venue. We booked this venue nearly a year prior to our wedding during an expo. At the expo, the staff seemed disorganized and frazzled. No one could give us clear answers, and they kept asking each other questions. At the time, they were offering a deal on decor, and since I'm a full-time ER nurse and my fiancé is a firefighter/paramedic, neither of us had the time or desire to manage decor or greenery ourselves. So, we decided to go ahead with the venue and paid our deposit. After that, we never heard from anyone again--no follow-up or communication whatsoever. Several months later, my fiancé and I had some financial changes and decided to elope instead of having a big wedding. This was still eight months before the wedding date. We immediately reached out to the owner, who explained that while the deposit was non-refundable, she would refund it if the date was rebooked by the end of January. Since the date was the first Saturday in June, we had no doubt it would be booked by then. On February 2, my fiancé followed up, only to be told that the date had been booked, but the deposit could not be refunded. We feel this was unreasonable, given the ample notice we had provided and the fact that June is a prime wedding date. She strung us along for weeks, and then two days after the deadline, her tone completely changed. She became rude in emails and refused to compromise or work with us. We had mentioned multiple times that if we weren't getting our deposit back, we would need to reconsider our situation and keep our original date. But instead, she rebooked the date, took the new deposit, and informed us that our date was no longer available, meaning we would not receive any refund. My fiancé, being the kind-hearted person he is, tried to reason with her, explaining how upset and ripped off we felt. Her response was to send long, argumentative emails claiming she was in the right. The entire situation was handled very poorly and unprofessionally. In hindsight, I should have read the reviews on Google before booking. This entire experience has been incredibly stressful, especially during an emotional time when we wanted to celebrate our love the way we had hoped. All of our other vendors were understanding and happily refunded our deposits, wishing us the best. Unfortunately, the owner of The Fifth Floor did not demonstrate the same professionalism or tact. I hope this review helps others avoid the same frustration we went through.

Ruth, the proprietor, was incredibly accommodating! She let us walk through it about 4 different times, and when we arrived to set up, she had a team there to help! We purchased part of the food from Hearthside, and the team just jumped in & were incredibly helpful in getting everything ready. Ruth made the planning part really fun. She spent time with us, and had great ideas for the send-off, how to keep different foods fresh, she had an answer for everything we needed to know. Then, the day of the wedding, she was right there asking what we needed, and was SO QUICK to help! I had forgotten a knife for the cake, and she just provided one. She was calm and SO LOVELY to work with! I'm SO GLAD we rented The Hearthside! We toured several venues, but this place is BEAUTIFUL, and the help they give both before and the day of is just remarkable! I can't imagine a better experience. AAAA++++

We could have probably slept twice as many as we have. It's 3 levels with room, after room after room. All of them are decent size but the 2 master BR suites (1 up, 1 down) are the largest. They are all decently appointed. There are at least 4 TVs although we had problems getting them to work. After reporting an issue someone came out and got the Sitting Room/Kitchen one going and said that was the only one the HOA was responsible for. The rest were to be handled by the owner but over Christmas that was unlikely and was not corrected. Other issues bathroom toilet running and bathroom door that would not lock. Issues but overall a great place.
