I absolutely love Tropitana! Absolutely outstanding customer service, great beds, low-key atmosphere, speedy, and super clean. After subpar experiences at other salons around LA, Tropitana has been a breath of fresh air. My first experience here had me instantly hooked. Lauren made me feel so welcomed and helped me pick the perfect package. She's bomb. Her employees are always so sweet, which is something I really value in a tanning salon (I feel vulnerable running in to tan without makeup on!). Tanning doesn't feel like a chore anymore now that I've found my new homebase! read more

Great! No probs on my first visit. In fact, whoever the receptionist was told me about a 5 for $55 deal on the Cyclone. Thanks, Tropitana!

Red light therapy is the way to go for beautiful glowing skin, I avoid tanning at all costs but the RLT is really the reason why I discovered this wonderful gem located in Pasadena. They have amp parking so there is no need to circle around this location for hours to get a parking space. The location is very clean and they are always very welcoming at the front desk, will be back for more TLC. read more

Tropitana has been my go-to tanning spot for years. It's a great salon with a really relaxing atmosphere. The Mystic tans come out perfect. I always get one before a vacation. The beds are good too, I use them from time to time to maintain color. Very clean and very accessible. read more

This was my first tanning experience and I felt completely taken care of! Jamie at the front desk was super knowledgable and was able to help me find the perfect solution for my specific needs with the right package. The salon is well taken care of and so very clean. I couldn't ask for a more comfortable and friendly experience. I was in and out in no time and the location is super convenient! read more

Love this salon. It's all around perfect. Very clean, affordable, and the receptionists are always so sweet!

I love this place! I don't usually write reviews but I need to write about Tropitana. I'm very fair and take a long time to tan so for summer and special occasions I get spray tans. I also have some serious scar and fascia issues from a previous injury and was so excited when I found out Tropitana has red-light therapy too. If you don't know anything about Red-light therapy look it up. It is incredibly healing, helps reduce inflammation and free-radicals, boosts collagen formation ...etc etc...I am a nurse so cleanliness is of top importance to me. Tropitana is the whole package. It is clean, affordable, service is excellent (Lauren the owner is the nicest and easiest person to talk to)! It's so nice to walk into a place and feel so comfortable. Highly recommended. read more

Love my mystic tan! Looks very natural with no orangey color. Its was only $28 and if you buy one you get one free!!!

I had a great experience here today. It's been years since I've tanned and I have a cruise coming up so I stopped in here on my lunch break. The woman there was SO nice and SO helpful in giving me advice on how to best get the tan I want before cruise time! She even suggested to me a discount package they had, and how I should schedule them before my trip. Also, I've been to places where you had to buy/bring your own goggles, but they had both goggles and hair ties available. Great place with great prices too! read more

This is by far the best tanning salon I've been to! If your in the LA area you must check them out. Prices are great, they offer the best priced packages around, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Not to mention the beds are amazing!!!! read more

Great place! It's my favorite place to tan because all the staff is super friendly and knowledgable. Lauren went out of her way to make sure I found a lotion I liked and Jamie made sure I didn't screw up my spray tan. (I didn't use them together!) Great rates! read more

Very friendly And Nice service. Canins are a bit old but price are very sheap for the quality of sun machine.

I would HIGHLY recommend Tropitana if you are looking for a convenient and affordable tanning salon. I was searching for a good tanning salon that also had Mystic tans in the area and found Tropitana. The prices are great and the employees are very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. The salon is clean and there are plenty of beds so you never have to wait and if you do it isn't very long. I was also very pleased that they offer Red Light Therapy as well. I love the environment of this salon and all of the options they have for you!! read more

Very clean place! Come here at least every two weeks for the perfect glow! Definitely recommend to try.

Great staff! Always friendly, and polite, and helpful! Love the variety of tanning beds and lotions. Top notch customer service, and always get a golden bronze result. They also always have good sales and promos for trying different packages. Reasonable pricing, and plenty of free parking! Tropitana makes tanning relaxing and easy! Next best thing when you can't get to the beach! read more

The owner Lauren is so friendly! I go in maybe once a month and she always remembers me, asks how things are, and best of all is NOT pushy with her sales. I've been to a lot of salons that try to up sell everything that it takes more time to check in than it does to actually tan. I highly recommend this tanning salon! read more

I love this place! I was recommended by a friend and started coming here every now and then. I got to know the owner between coming here and her coming to my work and she is the SWEETEST!! Meant not coming here on a regular basis we usually talk a little before and after to get to know each other. I notice, though, that the "regulars" walk in and go to their usual room. She knows their lotion and room and times by heart! She is the most personable lady EVER!! I HIGHLY recommend you come here next time you want some sun ;) read more

It is unfortunate that now whenever I pass this tanning shop on my way to work that I no longer think, "Yay how convenient. I need to try it someday!" But rather, "Wow I am never going back THERE again!" The reason for this poor rating was not even the fact that I can get the same tan in Hollywood for exactly $7 less but more to do with the rude and downright chilly behavior I received from the rather young female at the front desk. If I had to guess, she seemed spoiled and forced to work there and very unhappy with it. It was my first time as a customer and I was very nice to her but she wouldn't budge. She wasn't just unfriendly, she was plain mean. Being that I am somewhat of a tanning newbie I did have a few questions but the girl at the front desk made me feel awkward about this and as I was leaving she didn't even thank me or act act professional in any way. I would have gone back even though the prices are really high because it was near work. Now I will never go back because first impressions stick I guess. They need to pick friendlier people to work here because those things do matter when it comes to where you spend your money. read more

They provide the BEST customer service here. I always want a clean and decent looking salon, but service always outranks the wallcovering and artwork. They provide BOTH. The Manager is AMAZING, friendly, courteous and always personable. In addition, her staff are SUPER sweet and professional, not to mention accommodating. Highly recommend this location over all the other snobby, shi shi places in the area. read more

I'm Tanned! This was my very first experience at a tanning salon. The receptionist was very informative and attentive even though they were closing soon. I'll be going back. Don't forget to use the blending cream on your palms! Oh and showers only after 6 hours. Happy Tanning! read more

I love this place so much! It is definitely my go-to tanning place. They always run amazing deals and the staff is so helpful and friendly. My favorite is the mystic tan because it gives me the instant color that I'm looking for! I also love the super beds, both stand up and lay down, for a more bronzing tan. Highly recommend this place to everyone! read more

I have been tanning for a little over 2 years and i can say Tropitana has been the best experience i have had anywhere. Lauren was very friendly and helpful in picking the best option for what i was looking for, the place was clean and very comfortable. On top of all that the prices are great:) I will definitely going back!!! read more

If there were any more stars they would all be filled!! Love going here! I get the Mystic all the time before events and tan in the beds on a regular. I love that I never get that orangy color from the spray or get burned in the beds. I have had horrible experiences at other locations and am so glad I found this place and have yet to be disappointed over the past two years now! Thank you for always welcoming me with a big smile and a warm heart. read more

amazing, FAST results. got the unlimited one month uv tanning package for the regular/high intensity bed one week ago and i've only tanned 5 times(im SO fair skinned) and i hardly burned the first session and now i have a gorgeous golden glow and i am so pleased! no peeling, no white spots, i'm so happy and can't wait to see how tan i am at the end of the month. the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and make you happy to be there. i'm from bakersfield and the tanning salons there have nothing on Tropitana! happy, tan girl!:) read more

best place ever! very nice and friendly! the girls are great!

I purchased a one-month, use as often as you like, pass for Red Light Therapy at Tropitana. Have only used a week of it, but already feel it is helping my skin. One of the main reasons I wanted to try it was for a little rosacea I have on my face. I love the relaxed feeling you get when you've finished a treatment, and at 15 minutes each time, it's easy to fit into your schedule. The owner, Lauren, is great. She and her staff are very knowledgeable and really make you feel comfortable. They also offer a $28 'mystic tan' application, and have a 2 for 1 offer at the moment. Can't beat that! I'm glad I found out about Tropitana, and am looking forward to my next visit this afternoon. read more

I have been a member of Tropitana, on and off, for 7 years. Furthermore, having had memberships at other salons, I have always returned to Tropitana because of well maintained beds and a courteous staff. Unlike Its larger competitors, Tropitana's owners have demonstrated a "Pride of Ownership" that is unique, and appreciated. Lastly, I highly recommend that anyone who is considering a salon, give Tropitana your business. read more
