food - i was going to visit my stepsister today, so before leaving i asked her what the tropical smoothie order is for her and her fam, and both she and my stepsister got the sunrise sunset, which my stepsis says is very very good. my stepsis also had a friend over, so i got her the beach bum, which she says tasted delicious. and finally, i got one of my three go-to orders from trop smoove, the peanut paradise, which though it had a couple more ice chunks than would be ideal, still tasted good. also, while i like a couple of the food items here, i did not get any today. service - the lady working the counter was very good. she recognized what i was ordering when i accidentally said sunset sunrise rather than vise-versa. and she also made the smoothie order after taking it, while helping tend the drive-thru too. her co-workers were helping some, but her efforts were impressive to me. ambiance - the front dining area was clean, though mostly empty. there was one other customer at the restaurant while i was there, and otherwise was peaceful music playing over restaurant speaker. read more

Came in to the store on Sunday 1/11/26 at 8:53PM. The door is unlocked and no customers inside. The female employee asked me if a I had a to go order, as they still had to go orders because they're still open. I told her no I just wanted to order something to go. Her response "we're closed". I said "oh I thought you closed at 9Pm?". She says "ya we did". And just walks away. I've just got to laugh at this point. The customer service at so many places is nonexistent. It's very sad. Again store is open, lights on, employees making other to go orders etc. I could have been in and out in 5 minutes but oh well. I usually do smoothie king but wanted to try this places acai bowls. Needless to say I will keep my business with Smoothie King and will not be returning to tropical smoothie Café.. I hope the store owner gets this message. I know if my employees denied a customer while we were open I would absolutely want to be informed. read more

The service was fast and efficient. There wasn't a long line so I didn't have to wait to retrieve my order. Staff were professional and welcoming. Saw these places popping up everywhere since the last time I've visited town and decided to try it. Clearly I didn't think it was anything amazing considering my 3 stars... But it did have some good things about it don't get me wrong! I just wasn't too impressed. The good: the smoothie sizes are HUGE and a bang for your buck! It's like $3 and some change for pretty much an XL smoothie. So that was awesome! If you're wanted a BIG smoothie for cheap this is the place to be. Another thing I liked was the food options. There were many! Wraps and quesadillas mainly. The not so great: the wrap wasn't very "wrap like". It was very mushy and the tortilla was a bit squishy? Interesting texture to it. I ordered the humus veggie wrap and the humus was a bit spicy (heads up) and it was more tortilla than things inside it. It was also super busy, crowded, and took quite a while. We ordered online and waited until it said it would be ready and it still wasn't ready... They're very short handed right now so it will take a bit of time. Overall I wasn't super impressed. My love relationship with Tropical Smoothie Café began when my wisdom teeth were pulled out and I couldn't have any solid foods. My entire diet consisted of their smoothies and I completely fell in love with them. Their smoothie menu is so flavorful and diverse that I never got tired of it and I was able to try so many of them. I didn't dislike any of them and the ingredients are always fresh with real fruits and veggies. My absolute favorite smoothie is the Mocha Madness (Chocolate, coffee, cappuccino & non-fat yogurt - also available in decaf). I also enjoy personalizing them and choosing supplements like energizers or multivitamins as well as add-ins like flaxseed and almonds. They also offer seasonal smoothies for a limited time. My favorite right now is the Chia Banana Cacao (Roasted banana, dates, almonds, cinnamon, oats, chia seeds, coconut, peanut butter & cacao nibs). I haven't tried their food yet so I can't write about that but as soon as I do I'll update my review! read more

Quite ridiculous how I have to even write this post to Tropical Smoothie. I am a fan of Tropical Smoothie but I don't go to this part of town often. . When I walked inside, all the employees were standing around taking shots of smoothies and when I walked up to order for myself and a friend, they gave me weird looks because one of the smoothies we added some extra add-ons and a few of the employees were on the other side of the counter where you make smoothies saying how that's disgusting and gross this smoothie was and questioned if that's really what we wanted... ...Clearly that's exactly what I had ordered... While I was sitting waiting for my drinks to be made, they STILL continued to talk about how nasty my drinks were. It made it very awkward... Let me start by saying I love tropical smoothie cafe as a chain. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE! I've had my order messed up so many times and the wait is normally long for all of the wrong reasons. I'm not sure who owns this, but if you happen to read this and are the owner, you should probably keep your son out of your place of business and give him some training on how not to by a creeper. You should also fix your sign. And maybe your speaker. There are a lot of kids who run the place, sans owner. I have had a lot of problems here, basically because the employees have no idea what to do when something goes wrong. Which isn't their fault entirely, because the owner's son is who taught them and he is their boss. At least that's what he says. And by "taught" I mean creepily watches and flirts with the girls who work here, tells them what to do, and sits on the counter in the kitchen with a scepter lording his father's power over the staff. Okay, fine. He doesn't have a scepter, but still. After so many issues here, I had a major one that was handled horribly. I shouldn't have been surprised, but this was next level absurd. When the issue came up, I was in the drive-thru and the worker closed the window. She was talking to other workers, all very young, who didn't know what to do and were reluctant to handle the situation. Once I asked again for someone in charge, a 20 something male showed up with a huge t-shirt and sweatpants. What a Casanova. After speaking to him for about 5 seconds, I realized very quickly that I wasn't dealing with an adult. So, as the girls stared on smacking their gum behind him and he tried to decide what to do with his phone in his hand, I kind of gave up and drove into the sunset. Except the sun wasn't setting. In reality, I couldn't believe someone would let their kid run this place, let alone have such close contact with the employees. There are way better Tropical Smoothies in the area. They make better smoothies, they listen, they are polite, courteous, and I'm cool with giving them my money. If the person who owns 21st owns 71st, I think I figured out the problem for you. This place has just opened so I didn't expect a whole lot. But what I got was great customer service, great smoothies, and awesome food. This is a good place to go when you don't want something super heavy. My kiddos are big fans of their pizza quesadillas. I drove through and got the All American Omelet Wrap and kiwi quencher smoothie which was absolutely delicious! It was along the lines of a breakfast burrito with ham, bacon, and eggs. Waiting forever, far from courteous, smoothies that are not really mixed very well. And it just seems like a lack of respect for my time and money. I was so excited to get a smoothie that I drove all the way from Owasso. I waited in line for a little bit and then it was my turn. I looked at the menu for a second and decided to try one of their sandwiches. I ordered my usual smoothie and then after I said I also would like a sandwich the employee working the drive thru at that time asked what I wanted for my side, I was so distracted looking at everything they had lol, that I completely missed what he said, so I said "sorry what was that?" Love the staff here! They are doing a great job. A woman came in and asked for a meal. She wanted to dine in. After a couple minutes she rudely says she doesn't want to eat here because the tables are dirty. I look around and see three completely clean tables. I've been several times for smoothies which are a perfect consistency and absolutely delicious. I went inside for food and got a pesto chicken flatbread sandwich. Pesto was so good. The sandwich was grilled with swiss and chicken and it was just great. My husband got the roast beef wasabi sandwich on cibatta and he loved it. He said he was afraid it would be very subtle but it was really spicy, just as it should be. They have several other options for food that we can't wait to try! It was fast but we were the only people there too. Even when I have gone through the drive-thru for smoothies, they are fast. This used to be a Freckles which I miss but this place is fantastic. I've been craving Tropical Smoothie FOR WEEKS so today I went since it was on the route I was on for once and ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, smoothie along with a Caribbean jerk wrap and smoothie combo. I drive home and sit down to eat this buffalo chicken wrap I've been craving and find out that's not what I received. I received two of the Caribbean jerk wraps. I called them to let them know what had happened. They told me to drive back to them that day (25mins away), WITH the wrap that I had ALREADY taken a bite out of in order to get the correct wrap back.
