I'm just going to say, my husband and I are long time McAlister's fans. We basically raised our kids there because of the .99 cent kids meals. We own every tea cup produced, including the awesome tea club tumbler. You will rarely see us without one because we would rather stop at McAlister's for a tea than we would anywhere else. We also eat there more often than anywhere else, not only because we have our awesome cups, but because we also love the food... the Savannah Chopped Salad is my all time favorite, and I usually pair it with the Spicy Turkey Melt. My husband loves the Jalapeño Turkey Crunch and the Chicken Tortilla soup. Our now college age kids still love the Ultimate Nachos and the Smokey Pepper Jack Turkey. Of course we sometimes order spuds or other sandwiches and salads, but those are our "go-to" items. We take our friends and our kid's friends there. We've bought all the cookies on the rack for our son's basketball team. We have the Christmas ornaments. We even take pictures of ourselves (with our cups) in front of every location we've ever been to (let's just say multiple states and cities) to send to friends who have an equally ridiculous obsession...or at least they humor us. Our son's friend swears we must own stock, so our son has even sent him videos of me "making decisions" about the menu, commenting on how we could improve, or how certain employees need a raise. I'm sure our next video will be about the Edmond location when they reopen at the end of this month. (Thank goodness "we" got rid of that mural with the OC basketball player dribbling an OU basketball....and how are we even going to make it up to the UCO students who weren't even represented AT ALL when they are literally right next door.) Sorry, I'll get back on track. All this is to say, we are fans, and we are flabbergasted when we meet people who haven't been to McAlister's before, or when students say, "I thought that place was for old people." Wait, whaaat?!! No. If you are reading reviews debating whether you want to try it out, you may not fall in love, or have the same fun we have, but it's definitely worth a few dates. Visited McAlister's deli near 21st and yale. I had a great experience and the food was amazing! It's always a great sight to see a restaurant full of people. I ordered the king club with the potato salad. The club sandwich was nothing short of a king sized sandwich... at times I didn't know if my big mouth was big enough to take a full bite of this king club sandwich. I used to live near this McAllister's so I visit often. I would have given it five stars or year ago, but my take-out order wasn't the best. I ordered the Savannah salad to go, but there was so much more lettuce and less everything else (cucumbers, cheese, etc) that it was not a very good. However, the chicken in the salad at McAllister's always taste so good! Also, there was a mushy lettuce pieces. I don't think it was very fresh. It had been a while since I visited McAllister, and I was recently needing to find a fast place with healthy-ish choices. So, I decided McAllister could be a good option! I don't know if it's just been so long since I was here last or if I just didn't notice before, but the menu was bigger than I remember, which made me super happy. It did take me longer than I thought it would take me to order because of that (and I think I was kind of annoying the cashier with not being ready with my order) but there was just such a good amount to choose from... I ended up going with the savannah salad and was extremely pleased with it. It was a good amount of mixed greens at the bottom, blue cheese, honey almonds, and a generous amount of grilled chicken. There may have been some other things in there but I don't think I remember, and those things I mentioned were the standouts anyways. Maybe dried cranberries? The flavors worked together extremely well and I especially loved the sweetness that the honey almonds gave... even the bleu cheese had a nice honey sweetness to it, I thought at least. The dressing was a balsamic vinaigrette and came in a little cup on the side. I liked that they did that because it let you decide how much or little dressing you wanted. Sometimes I feel like places skimp you on the salad dressing, but I don't feel like they did here. It was maybe a bit thicker creamier than others. It was nice. That may have also helped make it go longer and not run out as fast. Because I was so pleasantly surprised by my salad, I'm sure I'll be coming back more often for that same salad again and to maybe try some other things too! read more

I really like this location because it is near the fairgrounds and Target. It is always clean and has plenty of parking. If you ever go to a McAlisters, make certain you get the tea. I prefer it sweet, but the non is great as well. This is what they are known for and you will find out! My daughter and I also like the Mac n cheese as well as the soups. The sandwiches are great, but we do not get then that often. They used to do a punch card, but I believe have since switched to an app. I am not completely familiar with it, but hope to soon. 29 June is always free tea day. Also, rumor has it on Black Friday they give out tumblers with little sweaters. I will be on my game this year!! read more

Absolutely disappointed. Came in here to order to go for the first time and was treated terribly by staff. I came in with my coworker on 12/27 and the second we walked up to the counter, we were greeted very passive aggressively by two separate cashiers. The entire time they took our order they were being rude and looked very upset. My coworker and I were also in uniform (first responders) and we asked if they did law enforcement or first responders discount and they just said "no" in a very rude tone. When they handed us our food they just flopped it into my hands and my sandwich was also made very messy and I could tell they just threw it together and messy on purpose. I love sweet tea and normally like their club buuuut, not only did I hear an employee talking about her VERY personal life loud enough for my daughter to hear but there was a young man there that obviously didn't feel well. My daughter asked if he was okay, and he admitted that he had Covid and was forced to come to work anyway. Needless to say, we didn't finish our food or drinks. It is not the young man's fault and whoever his boss is needs to do better! I stayed to talk to whom I assume was the Manager and voice my concerns, but she was sitting at a table in the back with other employees not ever looking our way... SMH. I will never eat at that place again, my mother has a lot of health issues and had she been there and caught it from him, it could have been the worst-case scenario.. Tonight I picked up dinner and brought it home to dine. I ordered a Spud Max and Caesar Salad. The Spud Max potato was dried out and the skin like leather. The cheese, ham and other ingredients inside the potato were good. The greens were fresh in the salad and there was ample cheese and croutons. I went inside the location today to order because I didn't want anything to be wrong this time. Unfortunately, my order was still wrong from lack of paying attention. I asked for extra tomatoes, to which the cashier repeated back to me but when I got home with my food I noticed the ticket said no tomato, which is a similar mistake from my last order. It's a chain, but for the number of times my wife and I have either eaten here or ordered carry-out I feel like I have to review it. The big positives are the reliability and variety, though the value for money ain't bad either. The "Choose 2" option is the old standby for us, and generally speaking it hits the spot. Great salads, good sandwiches, and the desserts aren't too shabby either. I tend to gravitate towards the Savannah Chopped Salad and a few select sandwiches like the Southwest Chicken Griller or Chipotle Chicken. Their muffuletta is pretty tasty as well, even if it doesn't quite compare to what you can get down in New Orleans. The service is decent, but can be a bit hit or miss. Part of the issue seems to be a slightly high turnover and/or a lot of part-timers. Orders can come out swiftly (within 5 minutes) or inexplicably take 15 minutes when the restaurant is fairly empty. We've also had them forget various things like cutlery, napkins or salad dressing. Fortunately, that's typically been the exception rather than the rule, but it's occasionally annoying. The place can get pretty swamped at lunch time. Occasionally that means you'll have to wait for a table, but usually not long. It may not be the most charming or unique spot to hit, but for consistency and plenty of menu options it's nice and dependable. read more

Twice the order included a baked potato and I received NO butter or sour cream. Once my soup was turned sideways in the bag and half of it leaked out all over the other items. Do yourself a favor and either skip McAlister's or go to the one in Broken Arrow. This one has gotten so bad. We received a catered boxed lunch meal from McAlister's and everything was exceptional. Service received both prior to placing the order, and at pick was fantastic, quick and efficient. Included in my order was one gluten free sandwich and my employee stated he was very impressed with the taste of the bread he was given. All the meals were well packaged with all necessary condiments inside the boxes. They even went as far as to label the sandwiches with our employees names for easy delivery. I ordered the Southwestern Spicy chicken at about 2:00 this afternoon. We were barely seated when we received our order, as I ate I noticed the chicken was tough so I ended up dumping most of it on the plate. My son noticed his turkey was 'off'... he said it did not taste like turkey. Our sandwiches were not warm, neither was the Mac-n-cheese. Definitely NOT fresh food. Note: It's now after 5pm and I have been sick to my stomach for over an hour. (Our last experience there was not good, but we thought it a fluke/just an off day.) I usually would give this McAlister's 5 stars but I have noticed the quality of food has decreased the last couple times I ordered from this McAlister's Deli. Today I ordered a bowl of Broccoli Cheddar soup. The soup was luke warm almost cold and watered down. It tasted okay but was not the normal consistency of this soup. Ordered online for curbside pickup at 12:55pm. Called the number when I got there to have them deliver to my car. No answer after three calls. Went inside to inquire about my order even though it was curbside pickup. Waited fifteen minutes in line to be told that they were working on my order. Asked again ten minutes later and was told that they were bagging it up. Another ten minutes later I inquired again and was told that it wasn't ready. Had to cancel the order and go back to work hungry. Waited for 50 minutes after pickup time just to starve. Don't waste your time. Manager didn't care and seemed mad that I asked for a refund. Won't ever be back even though I was a long time customer. Thanks for making me starve at work Mcalisters. Still waiting on a refund. If I don't get it in the next day or so I'm going to show up in person to get my money back! Trying to figure out now how I was charged for food that was never given to me in the first place.
