Easily one of the worst I've ever visited. They gave my mobile order away to someone else and then tried to argue with me that they had already given to me. 10 minutes later they tried to give me somebody else's order. The food (when they finally got it right) was cold and sloppily put together. The fillings were skimpy. One piece of bacon cut in half, 6 pieces of cubed chicken, watered down ranch and mostly wilted lettuce. There are flies everywhere and the place is filthy. Tropical smoothies are everywhere. Do yourself a favor and visit a different location. read more

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! My son went in today to get a smoothie for him and I. He was met with a cranky purple haired worker. He heard her go in the back and loudly shout profanity with another blonde haired girl. When he brought the smoothies to the car after waiting for 10 minutes (for two smoothies), they were incredibly watered down and FULL of ice/fruit chunks. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME HERE!!! read more

I have not personally tried the food/drink at this location, but my daughter has a handful of times.  And she loves it. She loves the three cheese quesadilla and the awesome orange smoothie.  This smoothie I believe is on the kid's menu, but she gets a regular size. I am not adding a 5th star just because I haven't tried them. But the few times I have ordered and picked up food for her, this place is tidy and there is no wait in line. I believe this is the only location in the area. The cafe is located in a strip mall on the busy Main Street.  Other eateries are nearby and shopping is within walking distance. The parking is OK, no issue. Check them out if you're in the area. Have fun and enjoy life :) read more

Put in an order via mobile, came here to pick it up. The store was clean and bright. The cashier didn't greet me but maybe that was due to there being another customer who walked in behind me. Walked up the designated pick up spot and waited patiently. After about 5 minutes the young man asked me if I needed any help. I told him I was here to pick up an order. He grabbed the and placed it on the counter and did the same with the smoothies and walked away. The smoothies and food were all great. The customer service could have been better but I'll chalk it up to the employee being young and inexperienced this time. read more

They didn't take my tropical smoothie Cafe gift card here! I came in to order an Island Greens smoothie with the purpose of using up the rest of my gift card. I asked if it is unique to this Suffolk location that they don't take their own company's gift card and they said yes. So warning for all Tropical Smoothie Cafe gift card holders, they won't let you redeem the gift card. However, Island Greens tastes as expected like the other locations. read more

I go here several mornings a week and Sheliyah has consistently made my smoothies very well. She is always so welcoming and kind, even though it's early in the day. :) She even left a cute little note on my cup today. It's just the little spark I needed to start my day off right. read more

We had the great fortune of our boss buying us dinner at work (come see me at the Navy office of the Armed Forces Career Center!). I am trying to keep healthy and do the vegetarian option and Tropical Smoothie is phenomenal for that. The detox island green was well blended and had a scoop of whey but it didn't overpower the smoothie. The bowl was well proportioned and very delicious. The location is great and the employees worked quickly and were very friendly. Overall, a great healthy fast food option! read more

Worst ordering experience I've ever had. After ordering and paying 50+ dollars, I get a call from this store (1 hour 15 min later) saying that my food was ready and he can't deliver. He told me to come pick it up. I told him I paid for delivery for a reason and to refund my money ASAP and hung up. I paid, never received food, and they decided to wait to tell me they can't deliver until it was supposed to already be delivered to my house. I put a complaint in with the Tropical Smoothie corporate office, yet to get a reply. Bottom line: I'll never give tropical smoothie my business, this was pathetic. read more

Anytime I've come to this location I've been disappointed. For how much you pay for the food and smoothies you would think the customer service would be better. I'd have to say most tropical smoothies I've been to have sub-par customer service really. It's a shame. I want to like tropical smoothie but I wish they cared about pleasing their customers. It just seems they really don't care. The maps app said this location was open until 9. And it was closed when we got there at 8:05. I said, "go figure." read more

I usually like tropical smoothie as you know what you are going to get from this chain. I have become more and more disappointed with this location. The service and the quality is terrible. This place is always polite and efficient. No matter how big or small my order or changes I need to be made they are able to deliver.

Employees don't care, lots of attitude, don't like your job? Don't work here, plain and simple.

Just close it down. Dirty and staff is clueless. Food is ok but drinks not so much. I ordered a drink with a diet pill and the pill was in huge chunks and had to be thrown away. Nowhere worth the $6 they charge per drink. Gross. read more

Probably the worst Tropical Smoothie I've been to. I have been to quite a few, being a resident of Virginia Beach. I work in Suffolk, so I figured I would go the healthy route and order TS. The Chicken Press I received was all veggies, maybe three strips of check and a hungry man helping (way too much) of the chipotle sauce. I also op for the kale apple salad rather than chips. YUCK.. that's how I describe it. Smelt of old wilted kale and a safe side of a rotten apple. Stir clear of this Tropical Smoothie. Not all are the same, try another! read more

Got to get my smoothie fix. However, I'm not sure if it's this location or the one in Carrollton to blame but in Carrollton my sandwich was more like a pressed/panini no chips or cookie. Ordered here and my sandwich was a wrap and I was told I get chips or a cookie with it. Confused because I ordered the exact same thing at both locations. I got shortchanged somewhere. read more

I come there and granted, it's a busy time of day - several people in line ordering. I could tell that the workers were busy trying to keep up. I stand in line and place my order. 30 minutes later, EVERYONE that was there when I got there has been served and left. Even people have come in after them have came, ordered, received food and left. In regards to my service - no smoothie, no food, no anything! I speak to a worker, explaining that I've been waiting for at least 20 minutes, though it was actually 30 minutes (I rechecked my watch after leaving) and that I want my money returned. The worker explained it would be an additional 15 minute wait for my food. I have no interest in waiting 45 minutes for fast food, so I demanded my money again and left. In additional to the lack of service I received, I find it in bad taste that: 1) Workers were repeatedly told by another worker, I believe to be the shift manager, to call out the orders by the person's name, not by the food that was ordered, and some workers continued to call out the orders by what was ordered. I heard the same type of smoothie and food I ordered called out at least once each - with me getting up and someone else getting up - claiming the order. 2) The fact that one worker reminded another worker, that was sitting, waiting for her ride, to refill something before leaving and the other worker attempted to excuse herself from her responsibility, stating that she's worked hard all morning and repeated acted as if she did not hear her coworker request, then instruct her to do her job. This woman literally sat there for at least 15 minutes, waiting on her ride to pick her up - which is time she could have helped out her coworkers keep things flowing. So not only was there any service rendered for preparing my food, but there's also a lack of responsibility by some workers. I left the established annoyed by the direct experience and the indirect experience of the unapologetic worker, who is too prideful to be a team player! read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING HERE! I used to work at this particular tropical smoothie and I would like to inform all of the customers or potential customers of what goes on here. The manager is a complete douche bag and treats his employees like they are dumber than a bag of rocks. He constantly complains and never bothers to tell us how to fix our mistakes. He allows his workers to serve moldy food and has an absolute pissy fit if we give the customers more than what they are asking for. Example: if I were to be making a wrap for a customer and I put extra cheese on it he will make you take off the cheese and put it back. He is so stingy and not to mention does not pay his employees their correct amount of money!!!! He never paid me or anyone else for training and he doesn't pay overtime or working on holidays. If we were in the store later than 10 minutes after we closed but we were still cleaning up and doing our job, he won't pay. Not to mention that this is illegal!!!!!!!!!!!! He will pick food up of the ground and put it back into the containers where they will eventually be served. I've seen many reviews talking about how the employees were not friendly and looked miserable. Well I would like to formally tell you it's because we get treated like complete garbage every single day and get paid 7.25 an hour for work most business would pay 10+. I have seen so many people touch food with their unclean bare hands and serve food that is clearly expired. Also the manager barely speaks English. I wrote this to inform you all to not take your business here! I want this place to shut down and I want the manager out of his job ASAP. He does so many illegal things and he chose the wrong one to screw with. Every single person that has worked here will tell you the same exact things and will tell you they no longer work their because of the read more

I walked in and the fuzzy haired kid was siting there behind the counter, on his phone, with his feet kicked up on the counter like he's on vacation. The employees were blasting ridiculous, ghetto rap music that, might I add, had profanity in it as well. So unprofessional! Even when I ordered I wasn't asked if I was dining in or taking out. I was dining in, but they never asked so instead of handing me a basket with my food in it they gave me my meal all wrapped up in a to-go bag. Really sucks that this is in the only tropical smoothie in the area because I love tropical smoothie, but I don't wanna come in to a place where I'm paying money and listen to garbage music and get mediocre service. read more

I've come here several times now, in hopes my experience would change. Let me flat out say, although the food is good, and smoothies as well.... The service is absolutely terrible. I mean it honestly feels like I'm inconveniencing their day by being there, if you hate your job QUIT! But constantly complaining about management within customer ear shot, while displaying total lack of regard for customers around has lost you business. Try smiling, it goes a long way read more

This is the worst Tropical Smoothie that I've had the opportunity to go. It's very tiny compared to the Tropical Smoothie locations that I've been. While I didn't want banana in my smoothie and asked for mango to be substituted for the banana, I was charged for extra mango. Yet, the smoothie tasted like I had a cup of crushed ice. This was literally a flavorless smoothie. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to this location. I wouldn't recommend this location to my worst enemy. read more

I am a huge Tropical Smoothie fan but this store in particular is disappointing. I went in with my roommates the other night after working out to grab smoothies and sandwiches, and right upon entering the store one of the girls between the counter informed us that they are not serving food anymore for the night. Well the sign on the door clearly states that they are open until 7pm, and there is nothing posted about only serving food until a certain time of night. I want to say it was a few minutes before 630pm when we went into this location that evening. Needless to say we went somewhere else, but this location shouldn't have hours posted if they aren't going to abide by them. Not sure if the management staff knows this, or if these particular workers just wanted to be able to shut down and leave right at 7pm. Either way it was very disappointing and I doubt that I will return. read more

This was my first trip to Tropical Smoothie cafe. It will be my last. We walked in and there was no one in the dining area. The guy at the counter looked like he slept in his uniform, rolled out of bed, and was still trying to wake up. It was about 11:00. He never made eye contact with us, had a long stare out the window at the traffic, and made us feel very unwelcome. The music that was playing was hardcore rap. We had a 9 and 10 year old with us. I wanted a drink but the drink machine was "broken" so I got a bottle Coke with a small Styrofoam coffee cup of ice. Needless to say, when our smoothie and food was done we left instead of eating there. The food was ok, nothing to rave about. The bathroom was dirty, no paper towels, and the plunger had toilet paper wrapped around it like it had been used and never cleaned. I will NEVER be going back. Would never recommend this place! read more

I hate dishonest business owners. So I placed an online order thru the TSC app and forgot that it doesn't give you reward points. So when I got to the TSC, another young lady was purchasing food and I asked her can I scan my phone to get her reward points because I didn't get mine from doing it online. She was ok with it. So What i should have done was removed my credit card from the app so it wouldn't pay for her food. And when she went to pay, the owner gave her back change as if she actually paid for the meal. And because of his hesitation when he collected her money, I decided to go check my account to see if I accidentally paid for her food, which I did. So I addressed the business owner to let him know he was paid twice for the meal the young lady just paid for. He then tries to flip it on me and said I should have never used my app to get her points. Ok, I'll accept that. But what about you sir who saw that you got two payments for the same meal and didn't say a word about it. That's for that guilty look on your face that prompted me to look at my account or else I would not have gotten my money back for the extra payment i made for the young lady's meal. read more

The music was finally something everyone can listen too, Old rock. Before it was just rap, not everyone is a fan of rap. The service was great.
