There's a nice case of drinks--sodas, teas, lemonade, water--from which to choose, as well as little bags of kettle cooked chips, also with several varieties. You order at the counter, take a seat (but be forewarned, it can get busy), and then some young person will come by with a tray of your food. While you wait, you can peruse the super cute kitchen items for sale, including seasonal tschotches, dishes, bowls, bottles, linens--you never know quite what you'll find, but we often can't resist one thing or another. Anyway, sated and fortified, we head back across the river using the double bridge (pedestrian below, railroad above), through Island Park and then back home. It's our weekend ritual and we love it.
