Firstly, anyone saying the food doesn't taste good or they leave hungry is smokin crack ..... also,…read moresounds like you probably would of enjoyed a buffet instead. This place is incredible... the food is to die for. It's the first place I've been to and did not feel like bloated or so full to where I was sick because the portions were perfect. Nothing here fell short, in fact it's the first place in the burbs where the food wasn't overly salted or fried in some type of oil. Everything tasted fresh. The flavors were busting up in my mouth every bite I took, even down to snowball fight drink we had. I highly, highly recommend the bread cheese appetizer- this was something super unique to me as I've only had grilled up cheese one other time in Brazil, Queijo Coalho.... There was a beautiful twist on this cheese- crunchy, creamy, sweet, savory and the honey and tabbouleh were such a great finish to this dish. Pair this with the fresh bread and it was chefs kiss! We had the beer braised short rib and seabass- two completely different flavored entres that we absolutely perfect. The short rib you literally can't go wrong with- melted in my mouth with every bite - and hats off the the chef who cooked the onions so perfect to actually be able to taste them instead of just carmelizing or salting them! I would call this your typical Midwest comfort dish. The seabass was much different the salad was tangy with the lentils being rich- add a nice cooked crispy top seabass and you got yourself a unique dish of flavors that will have you thinking what's in it after hours! But the star of the show was dessert of course - OMFG - s'mores ice cream sunday ....... I died and went to heaven literally. I have never tasted ice cream that mimicked everything I've ever wanted my ice cream to taste like. It was the perfect temperature (trust me a lot of restaurants it's either rock hard or melted) this was epic. Creamy, almost pudding like and being able to taste every note was wild to me. The graham cracker - yes the freaking graham cracker was the best one I've ever tasted in my life. Clearly I've never had a graham cracker without preservatives before. The chocolate syrup .... Jeeze let me tell if I could swim in it I would.... The service was friendly, prompt and right on time. The server knew all the cues and timing of all the food to come out. She checked in everytime we got something to make sure everything was just right... you can tell she takes her job seriously but also knows how to interact with people - something a lot of servers lack these days so we really appreciated the service. As for the atmosphere- this place blows a lot of the chi city restaurants out of the water. The organic feel but fancy! Oh, and I can actually talk and hear myself think without blasting music over my head. We will be back ... but honestly please change nothing here- everything you're doing here is fantastic!

Service is VERY slow. Whether by design or intent, I cannot determine but if you're hungry, don't come here or you will be excruciatingly hangry. Understand that this is not a high table turnover environment. The dinner rush is not exactly witnessed here. Ive never seen a grill line have such a lack of sense of urgency but it quickly made sense as I recognized it had been 35 minutes since an order was put in. Aside from that also understood the food was absolutely amazing, is it worth the wait? Yes if you understand the length of time it may take to get it. Come here not needing to eat immediately and enjoy the ambiance, the drinks, be in the moment, and let the food be an afterthought. I will most certainly be back.

They have the all the classics, lots of fun pancake, crepe, and french toast flavors, and some more unique items like the acai and oatmeal bowls and vegan breakfast options. I tried the quinoa power bowl which hit the spot...the perfect portion, great flavors, and high quality ingredients.

Very attentive, kind, makes you feel very welcome. - Nice ambiance, very well kept. The Bad: - I made a reservation using Yelp two weeks ago given it is Mother's Day. Turns out reservation is meaningless. - Their site says they take reservations until 10 AM and then it is waitlist only. Mine was for 9.30, so within their reservations window. - Inspite of that, we had to wait 1 hour before they would give us a table. The hostess seemed to have completely forgotten. - People that walked in after us without reservations were getting seated. Since our party was 8, I can imagine them processing smaller walk-ins before us. I can completely understand that. - But 1 hour with a reservation is somewhat crazy. - The hostess was super curt and pretty much told us the reservation feature on their website is meaningless and they only put you in the list when you show up there. Then why bother to have it then ? OR atleast clearly indicate on their website that it is not a reservation. Would certainly try this place again because of the food & service. But next time, won't bother with the reservation feature on their site.

They have a wide variety of drinks and desserts, so there's truly something for everyone. The ambiance is calm, cozy, and feels like the perfect place to unwind or catch up with a friend. I ordered the Peach Mango Black Tea and a slice of my favorite Carrot Cake, and both were absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but for the quality, experience, and relaxing vibe, it felt completely worth it. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this gem to all my friends!

I visited on a weekday and quite a few groups were working and conversing. Their space has both an upstairs and downstairs, beautiful product displays, gorgeous architectural features, and more. I ended up ordering the Honey Lavender Latte & Blueberry Muffin. The latte had great presentation but lavender seeds weren't very edible. It was perfectly sweet and I truly tasted the flavors. The blueberry muffin definitely could have benefitted from butter and being heated up. For $4, I wouldn't get one again. Overall, this is a great spot! Some of their items can be hit or miss; but when you find something you like, its *chefs kiss*. The staff is always kind and I loved seeing the same workers here as I've seen at the market! Truly a small business! Tip: They have a drive through as well!!

Our hostess for breakfast was wonderful - kind, attentive, friendly and made me feel like I knew her for years (thanks Melissa!) So many breakfast options available, something for everyone to eat, and gluten free options! I settled for the mountain house skillet which was so good, probably the best skillet I've had in a long time. My husband had the classic eggs Benedict. Their homemade jam was excellent (comes free at the table) and lots of coffee and drink options. Their pancakes looked so good - definitely saving for next time. Highly recommend!

I had a very disappointing experience at Buttermilk…read more The service was extremely poor. It seemed like there were not enough servers, and staff kept saying they were too busy to take orders because they had too many tables. We waited a very long time just for someone to take our order, and overall the service felt slow, unorganized, and frustrating. On top of that, the food quality has dropped significantly compared to previous visits. We ordered the Holy Molly, and it came with literally three small pieces of meat, which was very disappointing for the price. As a customer, it feels like the restaurant may be trying to reduce costs, and unfortunately that appears to be impacting both service and food quality. I understand restaurants get busy, but in this case the experience was far below expectations. Between the long wait times, lack of attention, and noticeable decline in food quality, this visit was very disappointing. I would appreciate a response regarding how these issues will be addressed moving forward.
