Great breakfast food and reasonably priced. The owners are always there when I go and are so friendly. Such a cute breakfast spot that I love to eat at when I'm in town visiting family.

My husband and I ordered breakfast takeout recently, as we have missed eating out at restaurants for breakfast since the quarantine/COVID pandemic.  We have passed by this place many times, but never had breakfast here.  It was about time, and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the breakfast burrito, but with chorizo instead of the sausage/bacon it normally comes with.  It was jam-packed with chorizo, they sure didn't skimp!  Ooey gooey cheese squeezed out when it was cut in half.  It came with hashbrowns, which were pretty good.  We both loved our burritos, but we could only eat half.  We saved the other half for the next morning.  It heated up great in the toaster oven. If you get a chance, grab a to-go container of their homemade rice pudding.  It was definitely up to par.  I make a mean rice pudding, and this was just as good! We hope to try the stuffed French toast next time.  We're thinking of ordering it on a Sunday morning to eat during our online church service.  It would make a great addition to our tasty 'I Have a Bean' coffee. ;)

Skirt Steak - the rest are sides!

I absolutely enjoyed everything I ordered from here. This place is pretty busy but they have lots of seating and their service is fast. The servers are pretty good about checking on you, making sure your coffee is refilled, stuff like that. The parking though isn't the greatest. There aren't enough parking spots so you'll have to use the other parking lots close by for parking. The skirt steak that I ordered had perfect seasoning - it wasn't drowing in sauce and it wasn't super salty unlike other places. They also offer cocktails, shakes, etc.- just a nice selection of drinks to accompany your meal with. Some items are a little bit pricey but you get good portions which make it worth it. I'm already planning to go back to try their other meals!

Egg Yolk Cafe is more expensive than most, but they serve Bloody Marys with breakfast (which my brother loves). The platings are generous and include fresh seasonal fruit. I've eaten here 4 times and have not been disappointed by the service or the food. And they don't rush you out.

Last weekend I had brunch with a friend of mine at the Egg Yolk Cafe. We were going to Kline Creek Farm and faced with limited options, both agreeing reviews, pictures and the menu at Egg Yolk looked good. When we got to Egg Yolk on a Sunday morning, we were told it would be a 15-30 minute wait which seemed reasonable. When we were called to be seated, they actually had called us before another table and the other lady made a seen about us being seated first. We just stood confused as we honestly had no idea who was there first or what was going on...but it put us in an uncomfortable situation and I think their hosting needs to keep better tabs on things. Now when we were sat, we waited. A lot. Like 15 minutes before we were even greeted. And then she had to get us menus. After she dropped those off, it was another 15 minutes before she came back to us. It was a bit frustrating waiting 30 minutes just to place our orders. We finally got to order and the food was eventually brought out to us - again this took quite awhile. And she set it down and walked away before we had a chance to remind her we had no silverware. So we sat for another 5 minutes with our food in front of us but no way to eat. When she came back around, she was of course apologetic that she didn't realize we had silverware. She snagged it off another table and all was well in the world. I understand it was busy and it's a diner but there were some serious service flaws. For brunch I had a delicious ham & cheese omelette. The cheese oozed out of it when I cut into the perfectly cooked egg. Everything tasted very fresh to me, perfectly sized pieces of ham, very enjoyable. The hashbrowns that came with it were different than any I've previously had. The shreds of potato were more thick but still soft & crispy in all the right spots. Overall, our meals were good, service wasn't but it could have just been an off day. I wouldn't hesitate to go back but would prefer trying somewhere else before returning.

Our hostess for breakfast was wonderful - kind, attentive, friendly and made me feel like I knew her for years (thanks Melissa!) So many breakfast options available, something for everyone to eat, and gluten free options! I settled for the mountain house skillet which was so good, probably the best skillet I've had in a long time. My husband had the classic eggs Benedict. Their homemade jam was excellent (comes free at the table) and lots of coffee and drink options. Their pancakes looked so good - definitely saving for next time. Highly recommend!

I had a very disappointing experience at Buttermilk…read more The service was extremely poor. It seemed like there were not enough servers, and staff kept saying they were too busy to take orders because they had too many tables. We waited a very long time just for someone to take our order, and overall the service felt slow, unorganized, and frustrating. On top of that, the food quality has dropped significantly compared to previous visits. We ordered the Holy Molly, and it came with literally three small pieces of meat, which was very disappointing for the price. As a customer, it feels like the restaurant may be trying to reduce costs, and unfortunately that appears to be impacting both service and food quality. I understand restaurants get busy, but in this case the experience was far below expectations. Between the long wait times, lack of attention, and noticeable decline in food quality, this visit was very disappointing. I would appreciate a response regarding how these issues will be addressed moving forward.

You can tell is it high quality food. - Waitstaff is stellar. Very attentive, kind, makes you feel very welcome. - Nice ambiance, very well kept. The Bad: - I made a reservation using Yelp two weeks ago given it is Mother's Day. Turns out reservation is meaningless. - Their site says they take reservations until 10 AM and then it is waitlist only. Mine was for 9.30, so within their reservations window. - Inspite of that, we had to wait 1 hour before they would give us a table. The hostess seemed to have completely forgotten. - People that walked in after us without reservations were getting seated. Since our party was 8, I can imagine them processing smaller walk-ins before us. I can completely understand that. - But 1 hour with a reservation is somewhat crazy. - The hostess was super curt and pretty much told us the reservation feature on their website is meaningless and they only put you in the list when you show up there. Then why bother to have it then ? OR atleast clearly indicate on their website that it is not a reservation. Would certainly try this place again because of the food & service. But next time, won't bother with the reservation feature on their site.

We sat in a corner booth area which was perfect for us because we have a very active 1 year old plus diaper bag, car seat etc.. it was spacious and perfect for our size family. The food was very very tasty! I will include pictures in my review so you can see for yourselves. My daughter said her pancake and eggs were so fluffy and delicious ^-^ and her bacon the perfect crispness. My chilaquiles were the perfect amount of mild spiciness. I am glad I chose the red sauce over the green because they were Delicious!! They come with a side of rice and beans that tasted very authentic also. The avocado was the perfect ripeness and so creamy! My husband's house potatoes and biscuits and gravy were also great. He really liked the gravy and asked for a side of it because he likes extra gravy on his biscuits. We also ordered the Nutella crepes and they tasted pretty good. They had a hint of cinnamon in the crepe mix so keep that in mind, next time I think we will ask to exclude it now that we know. Still they were very good We will for sure be back again!
