    House Burrito with Chorizo

The food was excellent. The restaurant was very homie, and everyone was very nice. I was very comfortable to eat there, and I enjoyed my time here.

Rise & Bite Cafe is a quaint, local breakfast spot that offers plenty of breakfast and lunch options for those seeking an alternative to the big chains and long waits that accompany similar but overly hyped up places. This family run operation is friendly and attentive. It's welcoming, and the staff genuinely seems invested in the community here. The menu has all the familiar breakfast and lunch items you could want, but I can't skip getting the house burrito which is filling and good with the included salsa. There's crepes, pancakes, and so much more to enjoy. Rise & Bite is a spot you'll want to come back to on a regular basis for the food and service.

I apologize for having dig into my food before this picture, but the breakfast was really good. The place looks very no frills diner style. But the service was quick and attentive. They remembered my wife had decaf when I had regular coffee. My corned beef hash skillet was delicious and made fresh. I asked if they could do no onions expecting it to be pre-mixed in the hash, and they said they mix every order. The blueberry pancakes were also tasty.

Wow! What a great little diner. Fast and friendly service, only 18 or so tables so coming with a bigger group may be a challenge. Started off with breakfast cocktails because they were advertising it, got a mimosa & Bloody Mary. My husband loved the BM! Said the flavor and spice was great. He ordered a patty melt which came with soup & fries. The soup of the day was chicken tortilla was amazing!! So much flavor and a little kick. He also raved about the patty melt. The bread didn't get soggy & the patty was thick and very juicy. I did a BYO skillet which was a great size! Came with pancakes that were SOO fluffy. Couldn't stop eating them. This is our new favorite spot!!

Unassuming location in a strip mall. Looks like they've done a remodel but floor and booths look a little old and worn. Friendly and prompt waitresses. Very yummy freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff was so engaging and awesome I was tempted to do 5 stars. But my boyfriends skillet was under seasoned and not too yummy. My chilaquiles on the other hand were delicious, as were the pancakes... very fluffy and so balanced. So good experience overall, but definitely depends on what you order.

It's a simple hole in the wall cafe in a strip mall that wasn't very crowded during Sunday brunch time. For what it was, the food hit the spot, the waitress was kind, and the place was clean. I kept going back and forth between 4 and 5 stars. Comparing to other local breakfast places, it's a solid 4, but I feel like that would be like taking stars off a McDonald's for not being gourmet enough. It's a great alternative to the other breakfast places just north of there with insane wait times.

Delicious Breakfast Spot! Stopped by Rise and Bite Cafe in Naperville and had a great experience. I ordered the sausage and cheddar scrambler, which came with onion and green pepper--it was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and really hit the spot. My son got the 2x2x2 with eggs, French toast, and sausage, and he enjoyed every bite. The food was fresh, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

Had a great breakfast with the family! We arrived late morning:early afternoon on a Sunday and were seated right away. The restaurant is fairly small but has plenty of tables and looks like they have the ability to accommodate a larger sized party as needed. I had the veggie omelette that comes with hash browns and toast or pancakes. I swapped the hashbrowns for their breakfast potatoes and chose the pancakes. The omelette was fluffy and had a lot of veggies and the pancakes were slightly thick but still light with a touch of sweetness. The breakfast potatoes had a great flavor! There were a few chunks that were slightly undercooked but good overall. The portion of my meal was quite large with enough for leftovers. The service was great and everyone was so friendly and efficient. We had a great experience overall and will definitely be back to try more!

I don't even know where begin everything was so good. This place was recommended to me by a co worker. Food and service was a 10 out of 10. I tried to taste it before taking a picture and couldn't stop eating it was so good. Steak cooked to perfection. Definitely my new spot. Place is a hidden gem!

Rise and Cafe has been open for a while and we finally tried it today! Got there at 9am on a Sunday morning and it was quiet with only a few tables occupied. The restaurant was clean and quiet (it did get fairly busy once we left at 10am). Food was really good - very tasty and came out quickly. Our waitress was personable and attentive with water and coffee. Menu photos on Yelp are outdated as prices have had a slight increase - sorry I didn't get a photo to update. We had omelets and waffles and Eggs Benedict. They also serve alcohol now (mimosas, bloody Mary's, etc.) but we just needed some plain ol' Joe. Nice place! We'll return.

this family owned spot at the corner of Ogden & Royal St George (better known as "Lovers Lane" plaza). I saw the sign on the marquee yesterday & had to try today (ummm, my bad as it's been up for 2 years). The space is bright and sunny and the service is spectacular!! We asked what they best know for and ordered the B&G & eggs benedict - wow they were SPECTACULAR!!! The eggs were poached perfectly & hash browns crisp just as the better half likes them. B&G are delicious - biscuits are light and fluffy & gravy is lick the plate good! Can't wait to go back

I ordered the stuffed breakfast biscuit and it came with farmhouse potatoes. When you cut into the biscuit, you'll find bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese. The biscuit itself was soft to cut and I liked the gravy. My cousin ordered the strawberry crepe and my girlfriend ordered the fried green tomato benedict. The portion sizes are enormous, you could make two meals out of this. I would say the prices are fair since they do give you a lot of food. If you find them expensive, Denny's and Ihop are cheaper alternatives. Everything was delicious. I forgot to mention but I recommend getting the strawberry orange juice. You won't regret it.

The honey butter pancakes are our favorite and we usually upgrade that side to this variety. Service was quick and friendly - I continue to recommend Buttermilk!

From the moment we checked in, the room had no hot water. We contacted the front desk and were told to let it run. It never got hot. About an hour later, we realized the heat was not working either. We contacted the front desk again and explained that we would be leaving around 6:00 PM for New Year's Eve plans and would not return until after 1:00 AM, giving the hotel over six hours to resolve both issues. Maintenance came by and assured us everything would be fine. It was not. We returned around 1:20 AM, went to sleep, and woke up around 8:00 AM to a freezing room reading 52 degrees. The outside temperature that night was about 12 degrees. There was still no heat and no hot water. We contacted the front desk again and immediately checked out. Despite the room being unlivable and unsafe, management told us they would not issue a refund or credit. No heat. No hot water. No accountability. It's a beautifully converted old mansion with manicured outdoor spaces and an elegant interior. The white tablecloth atmosphere delivers on the promise of a special night out. That said, if you're coming expecting a transportive Spanish dining experience, temper those expectations. A few decorative plates on the walls aside, the space reads more traditional Southern manor than Iberian escape. Charming, yes. Spanish, not really. Now the food, because that's where things get interesting. The cream of rice soup was a genuine highlight. Buttery, brothy, deeply comforting. The kind of dish that makes you lean in after the first spoonful. The baguette served alongside it though? Stale. Sliced too far in advance and the butter arrived ice cold, straight from the fridge. At $100 plus per person, that is a detail that matters. The Queso con Pacanas had beautiful individual components but suffered from what became a recurring theme of the night: strong flavors competing rather than collaborating. The pungent cheese steamrolled everything else on the plate. The wine soaked pears showed up again later on the Chuleta de Cerdo, and while the idea is lovely, serving a pear half unsliced in a fine dining context means you're asking the guest to do compositional work that the kitchen should have already done. The Jamón Iberico is the most expensive item on the menu and the meat itself is worth every penny. Nutty, buttery, exceptional on its own. But the parmesan blanketing the flatbread crisps overpowered it completely, and a lone raw garlic clove sitting on the plate with no instruction is not fine dining. Our server was sweet enough to explain you're meant to rub it on the cracker yourself, and she handled it with grace, but that explanation should not have been necessary. The Patatas Bravas were well seasoned with a solid aioli but landed mushy rather than crispy. A miss. The Gambas a la Plancha was the clearest win of the evening and not by coincidence. It was the simplest dish. Well seasoned shrimp, bright lemon butter, nothing fighting for attention. Sometimes restraint is the whole answer. The Chuleta de Cerdo had a beautifully cooked, smoky and peppery pork chop and a mushroom sauce that genuinely complemented it. But then the cinnamon heavy root vegetable puree pulled the whole plate in a completely different direction. Our server was genuinely wonderful, funny and warm and attentive even while training a new hire. She was the clearest bright spot of the service experience and the one thing we left talking about fondly. We left the rest of the meal a little baffled. The head chef hails from Valencia, and we were told that influence shows in the food. Maybe it does and our palates just weren't reading it. But between the confused flavor profiles, the inconsistent execution, and a cuisine identity that felt more scattered than intentional, we walked out laughing and scratching our heads more than satisfied. Beautiful place. Lovely server. The food just never quite found itself.
