This is our 2nd time here and once again the service was spectacular. Our waitress was very attentive and Friendly also. We sat in a corner booth area which was perfect for us because we have a very active 1 year old plus diaper bag, car seat etc.. it was spacious and perfect for our size family. The food was very very tasty! I will include pictures in my review so you can see for yourselves. My daughter said her pancake and eggs were so fluffy and delicious ^-^ and her bacon the perfect crispness. My chilaquiles were the perfect amount of mild spiciness. I am glad I chose the red sauce over the green because they were Delicious!! They come with a side of rice and beans that tasted very authentic also. The avocado was the perfect ripeness and so creamy! My husband's house potatoes and biscuits and gravy were also great. He really liked the gravy and asked for a side of it because he likes extra gravy on his biscuits. We also ordered the Nutella crepes and they tasted pretty good. They had a hint of cinnamon in the crepe mix so keep that in mind, next time I think we will ask to exclude it now that we know. Still they were very good We will for sure be back again! read more

This is definitely a local family run place. The two waitresses are sisters, the cashier/bus boy is their brother. Assume the parents are cooks. Small and very clean place. Prices reasonable, food delicious. I ordered a monte cristo sandwich. It came with a cup of yummy chicken tortilla soup and fries. My friend had eggs with corned beef hash. We both enjoyed our meals. Had a great breakfast with the family! We arrived late morning:early afternoon on a Sunday and were seated right away. The restaurant is fairly small but has plenty of tables and looks like they have the ability to accommodate a larger sized party as needed. I had the veggie omelette that comes with hash browns and toast or pancakes. I swapped the hashbrowns for their breakfast potatoes and chose the pancakes. The omelette was fluffy and had a lot of veggies and the pancakes were slightly thick but still light with a touch of sweetness. The breakfast potatoes had a great flavor! There were a few chunks that were slightly undercooked but good overall. The portion of my meal was quite large with enough for leftovers. Rise and Cafe has been open for a while and we finally tried it today! Got there at 9am on a Sunday morning and it was quiet with only a few tables occupied. The restaurant was clean and quiet (it did get fairly busy once we left at 10am). Food was really good - very tasty and came out quickly. Our waitress was personable and attentive with water and coffee. Menu photos on Yelp are outdated as prices have had a slight increase - sorry I didn't get a photo to update. We had omelets and waffles and Eggs Benedict. They also serve alcohol now (mimosas, bloody Mary's, etc.) but we just needed some plain ol' Joe. Nice place! We'll return. read more

I saw the sign on the marquee yesterday & had to try today (ummm, my bad as it's been up for 2 years). The space is bright and sunny and the service is spectacular!! We went to this restaurant as a family. The food was good but the restaurant was extremely cold so it was hard to enjoy the food. Our server was nice but one of the other servers, I'm assuming a manager, was rude. When we asked if it is possible to turn up the heat a little since the kids were freezing (there were only a couple of families in the restaurant at the time), her reply was dismissing and saying that she doesn't want to do it as more people may come soon. We made the terrible mistake of sitting at one of the two tables by the curtain-free windows and cooking to medium rare before we found a table that didn't feel like we were sitting in the sun. My wife and I had an enjoyable breakfast at Rise and Bite Cafe. She's a tea drinker and was pleased that Lucero spontaneously brought two tea bags. She likes her tea strong! I had decaf coffee, and the body and flavor were among the best I've encountered in a restaurant. I ordered a Denver omelet, which was quite tasty. The house potatoes seemed like there were really prepared in-house and not poured out of a bag of frozen potato bits. Big improvement! Note that they have a bit of a peppery flavor. The multigrain toast had mucho body and flavor. The bacon left a little to be desired, as it was thin and overly salty. My wife's pancakes were nicely flavored with a bit of vanilla. Her veggie skillet was tasty and filling. Service was brisk, professional, and accommodating. The ambience was peaceful and calming. I wanted to try a new breakfast spot, so I suggested the creatively named Rise & Bite. Amusing anecdote -- we've come to this location a number of times over the years. This is the fourth iteration. A long time ago it was Veg Harvest, then Radhika's Kitchen, then Haveli Cuisine, and now Rise & Bite. Unfortunately it's tucked away in a corner and not easy to see from the street, so it's not the best location. Anyway, we got there bright & early and it was fairly empty. We ordered a veggie skillet for the wife & I, a berry crepe, and a scrambled egg + pancake for the little one. The skillet was excellent. Good variety of veggies and nicely cooked eggs (we requested sunny side up). We also got a choice of cheese, so I picked mozzarella for cheesy stickiness. For the side, we got rye toast, of which we received two slices. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of crepes, but this crepe was pretty good. Good amount of fruit, and it was sweet enough that it didn't really require maple syrup. It was supposed to come with pecans but did not, so we had to remind them of that. My son's scrambled egg + pancake were alright. Usually I'm not impressed with pancakes at breakfast restaurants -- they're just okay -- and this one was on par with other breakfast restaurants.
