I ordered an açaí bowl with no chia seeds. The açaí was frozen. The strawberries were hard as bricks and all the fruit hard. Even after driving home 20 minutes and it just sitting there for 10 minutes before I ate it, it was all frozen. I will never go here again. read more

They left us waiting a bunch and then were out of açaí bowls and no wheatgrass--two items that feel like should be staples for this type of place. I ordered the Super Green Caesar Wrap, but the only "green" thing in it was the lettuce. To make it worse, there was something in the wrap that might have been a crouton, but it had the texture of a Cheerio--super weird and unappetizing. Definitely not what I was expecting. I ordered an avocolada, and I asked for it to be double blended. When I received my smoothie. It was hardly blended at all. There was huge chunks in there. My straw would not even go through the smoothie. When I asked for it to be blended they refused to and gave me attitude about how they can't actually blend it and it always will be chunky in a smoothie because there's "fruit in it" I informed them that they were wrong because I was a manager for tropical smoothie when I was in high school and we used to do double blended smoothies often and it becomes Silkie smooth. That is the only smoothie I ever order and it is smooth every time. I highly recommend you go to another one. They were extremely rude will never go again. We went to Tropical Smoothie Cafe today after golf, wanted something refreshing. There was a young girl and a guy behind the counter, neither one of them acknowledged either one of us. The girl walked right by us, never said a word. Went back in the kitchen, came back out, never said a word. The guy came out of the kitchen, walked right by us, never said a word. The girl went into the kitchen again, brought out a bucket of ice, filled the ice bin, walked right by us again and never said a word. We were shocked at this customer service. If they would have said, "We'll be right with you", anything, it would have been Ok. I always wonder when the customer service is so bad, do they realize, we are actually paying their wages by supporting their store? We will not go back. After hiking in the desert at the state park this is the perfect spot to visit and cool down. The sizes are huge for the smoothies and they have a lot of options for healthy and yummy flavors. Made a quick day-trip to St. George this past weekend with the fam and we needed something to tie us over until we got back home to Vegas. I came across this Tropical Smoothie Cafe while wandering the town, most of which was shut down because it was a Sunday. We decided to make our way to the drive-thru. Although there are many of these scattered throughout the Las Vegas valley, it was my first time at Tropical Smoothie. To be quite honest, I've avoided this place all these years because of the bad things I've heard about their products. No real fruit, too much sugar, etc. I decided to give it a try because well, it was over 100° outside and I didn't really have much of a choice. I ordered the Blimey Limey which includes all of my favorites- strawberries, pineapple, orange juice, and lime. Surprisingly, it was really good and extremely refreshing! Next time, I will request for the Splenda substitute instead of the turbinado. I think it's awesome that they have this option for guests who are looking to reduce calorie and sugar intake. My default choice is Jamba Juice, but I like to try other chains and even some small shops to variety. I love the Blimey Limey (strawberries, pineapple, orange juice and lime). I've also tried the Sunrise Sunset (strawberries, pineapple, mango and orange juice). This is my perfect pick-me-up on my way from St. George to Salt Lake City after staying at the Motel 6. I can say, without being over dramatic, that we come here just about every day. We have the punch cards to prove it. We are addicted to the 'Get Up and Gogi' smoothie and the 'Thai Chicken Wrap'. My boyfriend is bummed the saracha chicken wrap is gone, but he'll survive. People that work here aren't the brightest. Got charged 29 dollars for 2 smoothies when the girl in he drive thru clearly stated she just accidentally said the wrong amount. Went in to get the amount worked out and took forever nobody knew a single thing they were doing. It isn't hard to refund money. Still gave us back the wrong amount. This place is a hidden gem. It is not much to look at from the outside but once you order all preconceived notions will melt away. The flatbread sandwiches are absolutely astounding they are so good. Chipotle Chicken Club is one of the most tasty sandwiches I've ever had the privilege to eat. Also, all smoothies can be made with sugar or Splenda to cut down on calories.
