    Banana peanut butter flatbread
    Trendy D.

I mean it's tropical smoothie. It's fairly consistent with service, quality, etc.... I always get the same thing a chia banana boost with no sugar added and I love to get the peanut butter crunch banana flatbread. I always like this spot cause the smoothies are super filling!

    Tropical vibes all day

I came here to get a protein smoothie after my workout and everyone was super nice! The staff was cleaning so things looked tightly kept. Their smoothies are the best lots of options. I highly recommend to anyone looking to stay fresh and tropical during this summer.

I thought my tastebuds were too good for this smoothie cafe. My hubby asked me to give them a try. And I have to say I can't wait to come back. I do recommend changing the interior. It's kind of boring. It doesn't give off that vibe that I'm at a happy place or "tropical" paradise. The front is dim and the wallpaper doesn't stick out. The food isn't anything special. It's simple, healthier and meets the lunch requirements of a balanced meal. And it's very affordable! Even the smoothies are more affordable compare to Robeks and other local shops that sell smoothies. I ordered their seasonal watermelon mojito and now it's all I think about. I like how their smoothies are thick. I drank my smoothie within two hours and the consistency remained the same. That's not common. How do they do it? What's their secret? Guess I'll have to find out when I go back for lunch and get another watermelon mojito.

This location will send fruit that is rotting and opened. Dont order from! unsanitary. I will be reporting you to the health board.

Let's play the numbers game: 260 calories 24 oz $5 This is the quick, numerical breakdown for the Sunrise Sunset smoothie, my favorite at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Start the day loaded with mango, pineapple, strawberry and orange, iced out. You can even throw in a multi-vitamin in for free. What I love most about the smoothies here are that they are well blended and rather thick. I swear, it took me close to 2 hours to finish my smoothie as it did not melt quickly, one of my biggest pet peeves with smoothies. Additionally, I felt full for hours afterward. They also sell a bunch of fresh, creative, tropical inspired wraps, sandwiches and salads that look great but for now, I've stuck with the smoothies. This store location is rather new from what I understand. I don't remember ever noticing it in the past, so when I inquired I learned that this location had just opened up at the end of the summer. Tropical Smoothie Cafes seem to be popping up all over the place recently, so I really hope one pops up closer to me soon.

Cup of chicken noodle, Sunny Day.

I'd gotten coupons from them in the past, but my punchcard & travel cup discount at Robeks had kept me a loyal customer. When I randomly read the business name out loud to Greg, he practically swerved off the road in the rain to make the turn. I had to try one of their smoothies to test his enthusiasm. Lots of booth and table seating, generic decor, pretty friendly service. Bus your own trash, thanks. Gets pretty busy during the weekday lunch hour, but the line gets processed much quicker than items are prepared. Equipment is in the back, but there's a fair amount of visibility. Blonde behind the register is definitely easy on the eyes. The menu's extensive enough that I was still skimming the options long after we'd placed our order. He went with an Island Combo of his usual modified Get Up and Goji, and I opted to try a Sunny Day. Our names were called after 5 minutes or so when our smoothies emerged in the queue. Ingredients were fairly evenly distributed and it was slow to melt. The bananas used were decently ripe, so any chalkiness that might've remained was cut by the kiwis. Mango and orange elements definitely perked me right up. Chicken soup had an extremely salty broth, but at least the noodles weren't criminally overcooked. Even so, I won't be getting this soup when I come back. Three and a half stars. If we had forgone the chicken noodle soup, it would be a pretty easy four. Either way, I'll be happy to let my friend drag me back here since it's well within walking distance. I'm particularly interested to see how Tropi-colada ranks against its Robeks doppelganger, but honestly the fresh fruit combos all sound pretty tasty. Having less frills than my favorite Robeks/JJ smoothie bars isn't a bad thing.

A nice alternative to Roebek's and certainly easier to get in and out of (especially if you are on that side of town and can avoid the Elden Street chaos). Smoothies are 24 oz. and a tiche pricey at $4.29 each. My favorite is the Blimey Limey - strawberries, pineapple, orange and lime. It's one of the few without banana or mango. I've not added one of the supplements, but they offer lots of options. Go early in the morning and treat yourself to a Salsa Sunrise breakfast wrap -- eggs, bacon, ham, cheese and salsa. It's filling! The service here isn't fast, but it's not slow either. The owner is kind and is usually working with the staff to take and fill orders.

I was early to work today and thought "hey, I haven't had a smoothie in awhile," so I stopped in for one of those amazing peanut butter cup smoothies. They made it perfectly and in a timely manner. There weren't many staff, but there were only two customers anyway so it didn't make a difference. The music is calming and It's a nice cozy atmosphere to escape to when you're stressed. Nice place to hang with a few friends after school or work!

Two weeks ago, I ordered two bowls and paid extra to add peanut butter and banana to both. The bananas were missing from both bowls. Yes, I called and asked for my $2 back. It wasn't about the money--it was the principle of paying for something that wasn't included. I did get a full refund on one bowl. Which was greatly appreciated. Today, June 9, I ordered the same two bowls. I tipped 20% (the default option), and the bowls themselves were made correctly. Unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing. The employee behind the counter never greeted me, never thanked me, and seemed far more interested in her personal phone call than helping customers. When I walked in, she briefly put her phone down, handed me my order without saying a word, then immediately picked her phone back up and walked to the back to continue her conversation. I'll definitely continue coming here because I genuinely like the product, but based on these experiences, I won't be tipping going forward. Good food can keep customers coming back, but good customer service matters too.
