Brand new store
Robert R.

This is a brand new store and I went and was one of the first customers. I had a breakfast flat bread that was decent. Its fast food type food and I had fast food expectations. I enjoy their smoothies but they are primarily sugar and water. I don't know if I would say they are great, but they are good. The employees where nice and obviously the building was very clean.

This was our first time having rolled ice cream, and it unfortunately didn't meet our expectations. Rather than being rolled and packed nicely in a cup, our ice cream was loosely rolled and smooshed into a cup. Their new steamed buns on their menu were overcooked and dried out. We really wanted to like this spot, but this visit was an unfortunately a big miss for us.

It had ok flavor but needed more ice. It was lukewarm. Tapioca boba was as expected. For ice cream I had corrupt cookie. I was so excited to try rolled ice cream. Completely disappointed. I didn't taste cookie dough. I didn't taste fudge brownie and there was no chocolate syrup. The ice cream tasted old. Like it was left open for weeks. 4 bites and I threw it out. My daughter had the wake me up and she didn't like it either. Funny taste and like the ice cream was old or left out. Trashed after 4 bites. And the place is expensive My daughter also bought some cute little cositas. But expensive too. She picked up a pack of pens and they wanted to charge us 2.99 per pen??? Almost 20$ for a pack. Um no ty We won't be back here.

Their menu consists of a variety of protein milkshakes, smoothies, customizable açaí bowls, waffles, and churros, as well as different types of teas/energy drinks. They give you the option to choose your own toppings and drizzles for the acai bowls, waffles, and churros, which is cool! It is quite like nothing I've been to before, in the best way! The interior is welcoming and fun. With gator memorabilia, including signed jerseys. The service is excellent and so personable. The husband and wife team who own the eatery are the nicest people. They are so sweet and really go out of their way to make sure their customers are satisfied. My dad and I both ordered a protein Belgian waffle topped with strawberries and blueberries, with a honey drizzle. The ordering system is super simple. You just order and pay at the front and they will bring it to you when it is ready. They served us our waters, my dad's milk, and some cutlery while our food was being prepared. The food came out roughly 10-15 after we ordered. It was presented very nicely and aesthetically. The waffle was hands down the best protein waffle I've ever had. It was dense, thick, and fluffy, but didn't have an artificial protein taste to it at all. The fresh berries and honey on top were the perfect addition. I also appreciated the sugar free syrup and swirls of cool whip and the side. The meal was very filling and satiating as well. Overall, I was more than impressed with Gainzville Hub! It is a wonderful establishment in downtown Gainesville serving great protein packed options. The inside is unique and fun. Service was awesome, super friendly, and efficient. The food -- phenomenal! Absolutely loved my protein Belgian waffle and had nothing but rave things to say about it. I also really appreciate how connected they are with the community and the school. You can tell they really care about their guests and the people who come by! Cannot wait to stop by again and try more menu items!

I have seen ads for this place all over my Instagram for a while now, so today I decided to try it!…read moreVale Healthy Kitchen is a Florida chain that focuses on serving healthy, clean ingredient dishes full of flavor. They offer a variety of things including curated and signature bowls/salads, açaí bowls, smoothies, wraps, and some healthier treats. Their menu is quite extensive and they truly have something for everyone. Everything is also very customizable, which I appreciate! I didn't dine, but DoorDashed it instead. This was hassle free and not too expensive. I actually recommend going this route as you could save money through deals on those delivery apps. I will say, this food is slightly more expensive. But this is due to the quality of ingredients they use. I really love that they don't use seed oils and focus on using lots of whole foods. This is evident in the flavor of the food and the way you feel after eating it! I had to order their famous chicken caesar wrap. Their chicken caesar wrap includes lemon garlic chicken breast, lemon garlic kale, parmesan cheese, avocado slices, avocado caesar dressing, wrapped in either a white, spinach, or whole wheat tortilla that is pressed on a flattop. This was phenomenal and easily one of the best wraps I've had. It was huge and packed with ample amounts of chicken. The lemon garlic chicken was not dry at all and had great flavor. The lemon garlic kale accompanied the chicken perfectly and added a nice crunch. I appreciate them using kale as I felt like it didn't get soggy and the texture was nice in the wrap. The wrap also had a decent amount of sharp Parmesan which was just heavenly. The avocado was subtle, but added a creaminess to it. Then the avocado caesar dressing really ties everything together. I could go on and on about how good this wrap was. It was so balanced and there was just the amount of each ingredient in it, perfect lunch! I ended up getting a side of their kale & shaved brussel sprout salad as well, but didn't like this as much. The salad consisted of shredded kale, shaved brussel sprouts, carrots, cranberries, and maybe a nut of some sort (there isn't a description provided on their menu of this item). I was disappointed when there wasn't a dressing or something over it to bind everything together. With that being said, it was bland and not memorable. I think this would be better in a bowl as it's intended, not as a side! Overall, I was very impressed with Vale and they have easily become my favorite place to get a wrap from in Gainesville. I love that they focus on using healthy, high quality, whole foods, and avoid things like seed oils. It is evident in the flavor of their food. This does make the prices a bit higher, but you are really paying for what you get and I think the portions are worth it. My wrap my phenomenal and one of the best chicken caesar salad wraps I've had. The wrap was absolutely packed with chicken and had the perfect ratio of chicken to dressing to filling. It was a very filling meal and could easily be two servings. I will definitely need to come back and try some of their bowls as well, they truly have endless options to customize your own bowl. If you are looking for something healthier, filling, and delicious-- check this place out, you won't regret it!

We went on a Saturday morning, and they had 30% off all shakes. It did take a little bit, as there was only one person working when we first got there. There was plenty of seating, and they weren't super busy. I had the Blue Almond Berry Acai bowl. The blue base was super good, although both were pretty sweet. That isn't a complaint though! We also got the strawberry banana smoothie, which was good. I would not recommend the almond butter brownie. It was extremely salty.

Great coffee, but painfully slow service at the Alachua location…read more I've been a fan of Ellianos Coffee for years and have visited multiple locations across Florida. The drinks are consistently solid with good strong espresso, good flavors, and reliable options. The Alachua spot has the same great menu and quality brews I've come to expect. Unfortunately, the service here is a major letdown compared to every other Ellianos I've been to. What is usually a quick drive-thru stop elsewhere, turns into a long, frustrating wait in Alachua. Even with a moderate line (or sometimes barely any cars), it takes significantly longer to move through the order and pickup process. I've experienced very slow pacing multiple times with the staff seeming disorganized and often standing around chatting with one another goofing around while customers are waiting, and orders taking forever to prepare with less accuracy, and overall much less efficiency than the chain's usual "speed and precision" promise. For better accuracy, it would be beneficial for the person taking the order to repeat it back to the customer. Other Ellianos locations handle busy mornings with quick, friendly service even during rushes. This one is noticeably slower and less streamlined, which is disappointing when you're just trying to grab a coffee on the go. The coffee is still worth it if you're not in a hurry, and the staff are polite when you finally get to the window. But for drive-thru convenience and speed, this Alachua location falls short of the Ellianos standard I've enjoyed elsewhere. Hopefully they can pick up the pace because it's the one big thing keeping me from being a regular here. If you're in the area and have time to spare, give it a try for the drinks. Otherwise, I'd stick to other nearby Ellianos or alternatives if speed matters.
